SophosLabs reported in its security blog that a test Windows 7 system on a clean PC was affected by 80 per cent of viruses.

Sophos' Chester Wisniewski, said engineers loaded a full version of Microsoft's recently launched operating system, and configured it to follow system defaults for UAC (User Account Control) without installing an anti-virus package.

"Unfortunately, despite Microsoft's claims, Windows 7 disappointed just like earlier versions of Windows," he wrote.

"The good news is that, of the freshest 10 samples that arrived, two would not operate correctly under Windows 7."

Microsoft's Security Intelligence Report released this week said the infection rate of a Windows Vista machine running Service Pack was 61.9% less than on an up-to-date Windows XP computer.

But only around one in five Windows users are using the new operating system or Vista.

"Windows 7 is no cure for the virus blues, so be sure to bring your protection when you boot up."

DropResize è un software gratuito e portabile (che non necessita di installazione) che consente di ridurre il peso delle immagini con un semplice drag&drop.

Funziona così. Si sceglie una cartella dove trascinare le immagini da ridimensionare e si stabiliscono due parametri: la larghezza e la lunghezza dell’immagine e il livello di compressione.

Dopodiché basta trascinare le immagini nella cartella per ottenere la conversione di gruppo al volo.

Si tratta di un’applicazione rapida e molto semplice da usare che può tornare utile soprattutto a chi vuol condividere immagini e foto in rete, in particolare a quei blogger e webmaster che vogliono velocizzare il caricamento delle pagine dei loro siti alleggerendo le grafiche.

以下介紹使用ConvertZ 這套免費且相當方便的繁、簡中文轉換軟體，他可以幫我們一次處理整個目錄、子目錄裡的簡體中文檔名或資料夾名稱，將它通通改成繁體中文。當然ConvertZ 還有很多很實用的繁檢轉換小功能，如MP3音樂檔的TAG轉換、文字內容的繁簡轉換…等等，相當好用唷。

第1步 這是轉檔前，檔案名稱與資料夾名稱都是簡體中文字。

第2步 接著請將ConvertZ軟體下載回來，解壓縮後，直接按兩下「ConvertZ.exe」執行它。

第3步 開啟ConvertZ軟體後，桌面最上方會多出一個工具列，請按一下左邊第二個「檔案及資料夾名稱轉碼」按鈕。

第4步 開啟「檔案及資料夾名稱轉碼」視窗後，請從「目錄模式」裡面選擇你要設定的資料夾，點選使其反白後，再從中間的「來源編碼」、「輸出編碼」去選擇適當的編碼。

第5步 一般如果是簡體字的話，可在「來源編碼」欄位中選擇簡體中文用的「GBK」或「Unicode」編碼，輸出編碼就選「Big5」或「Unicode繁體」，這樣就可以把簡體中文檔名轉換成繁體中文。

視窗下方會有預覽畫面，當我們選擇不同編碼時，它都會直接顯示轉檔結果在下面的預覽視窗中，請選對了編碼之後，再按下〔開始轉換〕按鈕。

第6步 如圖，轉好之後，整個資料夾名稱與檔案名稱都自動變成繁體中文囉。
