An elegant Tampa wedding erupted into a bay-side brawl that ended with the groom’s grandma in a chokehold, according to WTSP.com, the site for a CBS-affiliated TV station in St. Petersburg.

The trouble started around 9 p.m. when the groom began throwing money on the dance floor for kids to grab. One of the guests became upset by this, so the groom and his brother asked him to leave, according to WTSP.

This led to a pushing and shoving match that exploded into a parking lot brawl involving nearly 40 people. Tampa cops came to break up the crowd, but one of them was hit several times in the process.
