Using a ultraviolet water purifier to treat drinking water is not only necessary when you are on the go but it’s equally important for treating the water that comes from your tap.

Even most of municipal water is treated with chlorine or chloramines to disinfect, many of the microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and cysts along with many other contaminants may still be in your tap water. Colbert and Kamen Solve the World's Water Problems

There has been much buzz about the water-purifying machine that Segway inventor Dean Kamen demonstrated on the Colbert Report last week (even taking on the bag of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos that Colbert added). Everyone has been trying to find out more about his claim that "you stick a hose into anything that looks wet ... and it comes out ... as perfect distilled clean water."

So far as I can tell however, it's true. (Note: I still haven't worked out if it can handle volatile organics like gasoline and benzene.)

Bottled water 'is immoral'

Drinking bottled water should be made as unfashionable as smoking, according to a government adviser.

"We have to make people think that it's unfashionable just as we have with smoking. We need a similar campaign to convince people that this is wrong," said Tim Lang, the Government's naural resources commissioner.


	Bottled water generates upto 600 times more CO2 than tap water

Phil Woolas, the environment minister, added that the amount of money spent on mineral water "borders on being morally unacceptable".

Their comments come as new research shows that drinking a bottle of water has the same impact on the environment as driving a car for a kilometre. Conservation groups and water providers have started a campaign against the £2 billion industry.

A BBC Panorama documentary, "Bottled Water: Who Needs It?", to be broadcast tomorrow says that in terms of production, a litre bottle of Evian or Volvic generates up to 600 times more CO2 than a litre of tap water.

Set the intention to stay grounded in your own energy. This is as simple as waking up in the morning acknowledging the gift of another day and *breathing*…Take a deep breath and say (either inwardly or outwardly) as a prayer, “Thank you God, for the gift of this day and the gift of myself. Help me to honor myself with love.” This sets the tone for you to give yourself what you need without guilt during the course of your day ahead.

Shield yourself in white light. Visualize white light surrounding your body and aura as a protective and gentle barrier. Envision this light as the loving energy of God keeping out lower vibrations and only allowing in loving and supportive energies. Shield yourself as often as you need during the day—before difficult meetings or at any time you may feel “vulnerable”.

Exercise. Any physical activity that really gets your body moving is super effective in getting you grounded into your body. Strength training is great, as is walking, jogging or anything that gets you to break a sweat. When you work out hard, you aren’t managing anyone else but yourself. You’re brought back into your own space.

Meditate. If at any point, you start to feel tapped out and suspect it may be due to factors other than poor diet, lack of sleep or illness, take a breath, center yourself and ask “Is this mine, or someone else’s problem?” Get quiet, breathe, and pay attention to what ideas come through. Breathe mindfully until you feel your body revive.

Take a shower or bath. Water is a purifier and can be a quick way to restore your energy. Adding Epsom or Sea salt to a bath is both a physical and spiritual detoxification trick. Soak until you feel better.

Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water
