ABC reports: Iranian protesters took to the streets today as they do every Nov. 4 to mark the 30th anniversary of the U.S. embassy takeover. But this year, opponents of the Iranian regime used the government sanctioned day of street demonstrations to challenge the hard line administration. While supporters of the regime led chants of "death to America," crowds nearby shouted "death to the dictator," a veiled reference to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his political ally, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

And via this video report, CNN adds the protestors had a direct message for America's president too: "You're Either With Us or With Them"

Meanwhile, somewhere on another planet, a pointy-eared man with a peculiar name had this to say about the takeover by Iranian militants of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran: "This event helped set the United States and Iran on a path of sustained suspicion, mistrust and confrontation," he said in his statement.

WASHINGTON DC - President Obama on Friday announced the end of a 22-year ban on travel to the United States by dead people, fulfilling a promise he made to necrophilia advocates and acting to eliminate a restriction he said was "rooted in fear rather than fact."

This dead person didn't make it through airport security

President Obama signed an order Friday allowing dead people to enter the country.

At a White House ceremony, Mr. Obama announced that a rule canceling the ban would be published on Monday and would take effect after a routine 60-day waiting period. The president had promised to end the ban before the end of the year.

"If we want to be a global leader in combating population growth, we need to act like it," Mr. Obama said. "Now, we talk about reducing population, yet we've treated a dead sex partner as a threat."

I was contacted earlier by some readers of my articles and asked for my view on the events scheduled to take place in December in Copenhagen. This was something I had only recently heard about and therefore had little knowledge of. Pete Davis mentions a new book that sounds interesting. He observes that we like to think of the United States as a land of opportunity, “but a new book, Creating an Opportunity Society, by Ron Haskins and Belle Sawhill of the Brookings Institution proves otherwise.”

42% of American men with fathers in the bottom income quintile remain there as compared to: Denmark, 25%; Sweden, 26%; Finland, 28%; Norway, 28%; and the United Kingdom, 30%.
