An original copy of the Billy Meier Photograph taken March 26, 1981 is seen below. The photography has not been retouched or manipulated in any detectable way and the conclusion of the sciencific team is that it is authentic in every aspect. The craft measures approximately 48 feet in diameter and is 25 feet tall, it's composition is unknown and it is in no way is suspended by any device detectable. There is no pixel manipulation or overlay created by any artificial means

applies to many other “jumble then unjumble” puzzles, e.g. rubix Rings
(the rotation puzzle, not the flat foldy unfoldy one), rubix UFO, etc.
Perhaps the problem is that people are shown how to solve a particular
puzzle rather than working it out themselves, so they don’t understand why
the solution works (to the extent that they could solve similar but
different puzzles)?
Or maybe some puzzles like this are simple enough for people to hit on
ad-hoc solutions by themselves without understanding why they work? I would
have thought the 3×3x3 was too complex for this, but maybe not…
As a test, someone who understands the rubix cube should be able to how to solve a rubix cube with
the following 3×3x3 “subgroup” puzzle:

Policeman 'saw aliens'

A police officer contacted UFO experts after claiming he saw three aliens examining a freshly made crop circle in Wiltshire.

The sergeant, who has not been named, was off-duty when he saw the figures standing in a field near Silbury Hill, reports the Daily Telegraph.

He stopped his car to investigate but says the trio ran away "faster than any man he had ever seen".

The police officer said he heard the "the sound of static electricity" as he approached the figures who were all over 6ft tall with blond hair.

The officer returned to his home in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and contacted paranormal experts and told them he had spotted a UFO.

Crop circle researcher Andrew Russell, who is investigating the sighting on behalf of the officer, revealed how he described the close encounter.

"He shouted to the figures who, at first, ignored him, not glancing at him. When he tried to enter the field they looked up and began running," he said.

This lamp has been a long time coming and we’ve been waiting patiently for our chance to see cows in mid-abduction. It has finally gone from prototype to reality. You gotta love the aliens peering out of the UFO windows.

What the heck were those lights in the sky Saturday night?

That's the question scores of Niagara Falls residents and tourists were left to ponder after seeing an unusual, spectral pattern in the night sky over the tourist district for a period between 9 p.m. and midnight.

Some say the unidentified phenomenon looked like a metallic object hovering motionless and without sound.

"At first it look like a circular tear in the sky," said Joshua Green, who lives on Robinson Street. "When the spotlights from the casino would rotate, they would hit the object . . . and it would illuminate the object and create a flash coming back down.

But whatever happened yesterday, I have a sneaking suspicion the flying Jiffy Pop balloon was not originally conceived, built and being tested as an innovative commuting vehicle.

It’s not for nothing Shepard Smith and everyone else was comparing that thing to a UFO yesterday. Maybe, like the Richard Dreyfuss character in ”Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” Richard Heene was just strangely compelled to make his experimental 3DLAV commuting device look like a traditional Roswell-inspired flying saucer hoax.

My local radio talk-show pal Michael Graham questions whether its a hoax. How could anyone plan anything that would fly the way that did and attract the kind of attention that did? And what kind of gain could he possibly expect?

I dunno. The guy’s showing all the signs of being a full-throttle crackpot visionary. He claims he was trying to devise a way for commuters to fly over rush-hour traffic. Plotting a publicity grab doesn’t seem nearly as complicated.

(Gotta say I’m kind of with Balloon Dad on this one. YouTube: “Fake or Real? Is Hillary Clinton Reptillian?” Pretty strong crazy vibe, though. Sort of a psychotic stink.)

Cops are now initiating a hoax investigation, though they insist they think the Heenes are on the up-and-up. NYT’s The Lede. Not clear to me how any sober law enforcement personnel can spend as much time in this guy’s company as any casual Internet surfer or American TV viewer has and not report back “bat-shit crazy.” Surber’s on to something.
