「親愛的」搞定ttf-mscorefonts-installer安裝時出現的錯誤

不管是安裝ubuntu-restricted-extras或kbuntu-restricted-extras還是單獨安裝ttf-mscorefonts-installer都會碰到錯誤，原因是安裝時有的檔案下載不來。

這幾天有研究一下deb包的原始碼，發現sourceforge.net可能有改變檔案存放位置，而原始碼還是舊的網址，造成檔案找不到，檔案也就安裝錯誤了。

只要下載原始碼修改一下並編譯成deb檔，安裝就不會出現錯誤了。

10.21.2009 更新下載並修改原始碼部份，應該先刪除在搜尋。
10.26.2009 安裝3.0版是正常的不用此方法修改了。
11.01.2009 Carl反應少了 build-essential 無法編譯以補上了。

下載並修改原始碼

Step1、下載最新版的原始碼
需要svn沒有的請安裝
sudo aptitude install subversion

svn co https://svn.kinkhorst.nl/svn/debian/msttcorefonts/trunk

Step2、修改原始碼

cd trunk && gedit update-ms-fonts

搜尋並刪除

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/

搜尋
/corefonts/
取代

/project/corefonts/the%20fonts/final/

存檔並關閉

編譯並安裝deb
Step1、編譯
需要fakeroot 、 build-essential 套件沒有的請安裝
sudo aptitude install fakeroot build-essential

dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -b

Step2、安裝
sudo dpkg -i ../ttf-mscorefonts-installer*
deb會放在trunk的上一層目錄下次可以直接裝修改好的deb檔。

你只需要到

系統－偏好設定－鍵盤裡

把「自動重覆按鍵」取消勾選就可以了。

但就算是如此，當電腦非常lag時，也有可能出現鍵盤爆走，這時你可能要打開中文輸入法，亂按亂按..有時候還真的會自己好呢。哦..對，取消自動重覆按鍵時，要按"backspace"刪字或移動游標還蠻麻煩的XD，有時候要按很多下。

Anyway, to sum everything up, you have both Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 installed on your system. You want to remove 9.04 so you can use only 9.10, if that is correct, proceed:

While in 9.10, click, install the package 'gparted' by your favorite method. I.E. -

sudo apt-get -y install gparted

After it is done installing, click System -> Administration -> Partition Editor.

You should now see all the partitions on your system. Since 9.04 is partitioned with ext3, and 9.10 with ext4, find the EXT3 partition. Select it, and then click "Delete" at the top, then click "Apply". This will delete 9.04 from your system.

If you would like to resize the partition so your new 9.10 can make use of this space, you will have to use a live CD. Once you boot up in the live CD, you will have to make sure you have Internet connectivity and install gparted.

Ubuntu or Windows? This is the topic which most people talk today…. this month is very special for this topic! Why is it? This month both Windows and Ubuntu are going to release their latest master pieces to the market! Ubuntu is going to release Ubuntu 9.10! and Windows have released their Windows 7 last week!

The question is… what is the best choice? Well, many people have put out many theories about this… and we are currently compiling our own theory. Well, it's that time of year again, when the latest version of Ubuntu is released. Version 9.04 of arguably the world's most popular Linux distribution is now available for free download. I've had more than a week to check it out and am thoroughly impressed. Ubuntu 9.04, codenamed Jaunty Jackalope, is a solid release and well worth the bandwidth. I stuck with 8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron) when the sub-par 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) came out last October, but I will definitely upgrade all my machines to Jaunty in the coming weeks.
