Randy Brogdon’s Firearms Freedom Act in Oklahoma. A firearms freedom act will assert state sovereignty on behalf of Oklahoma gun owners similar to the Montana and Tennessee legislation, but with some tweaks to ensure success. OK2A intends to be a no-compromise gun rights organization similar to Gun Owners of America. Speaking of which, GOA founder, Larry Pratt will be coming to Tulsa to help kickoff OK2A!

The following is what I do directly after a clean install of Windows 7. This does not mean that everything I do will work for you. Keeping that in mind, ensure you are fully aware of the risks of tweaking your system before doing so. Several of my performance tweaks "reduce" the default functionality of Windows and removes some built in security features. If security is a top priority for you or you are a new user to W7, refrain from disabling any functionality noted as a security feature.

I started on my quest for HDR portraits in 2007 and keep refining my process. I do them using the 3 image auto bracket method and usually render with Photomatix, then Photoshop for final tweaks and to add a few of my effects.For more in depth, see my HDR tips on Pro Photo Show. I also have an HDR workshop in WA coming fall 2009.

Basics for non HDR buffs. A regular camera captures a far smaller range of light than our eyes. That amazing sunset, with a green tree in the foreground, may look great to your eye, but in the photo. that foreground might be nothing but a black hole.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a method of taking multiple images of the same scene at various exposure levels and combining them, bringing out the light and dark details from each and working them for the right look. For more HDR See my Nature Gallery.

Scrawled on a pack of Players, Dennis the very first Menace

He may lack his trusty catapult and faithful hound Gnasher, but the spiky hair, scowl and shorts are instantly recognisable.

This is the first ever sketch of Dennis the Menace, which has been unseen for more than half a century.

After a few tweaks, this picture – drawn on the back of a cigarette packet – was transformed into the schoolboy rogue and scourge of softies idolised by readers of The Beano for 58 years.

Beano editor Alan Digby, who came across the Player’s packet during research for a new BBC series of Dennis And Gnasher, said: ‘This is an incredible find. Dennis is Britain’s most iconic comic-strip character.

‘We found it among the original rough drafts. From there we pieced together the story of how Dennis was created.’

The character was dreamed up in 1950 by The Beano’s editorial team, led by founding editor George Moonie.

Taking proper care of a cell phone battery only requires a little common sense and (in most cases) a few tweaks to the way people already use their phones. A battery that is well-cared for not only lasts longer overall, but can also go longer in between charges than a mistreated battery.

By increasing the lives of cell phone batteries, people can spend less on new phone equipment and keep more used batteries from piling up in landfills. Batteries contain some pretty toxic ingredients, and the fewer we have wasting (and leaking) away in landfills, the better.

Sometimes it’s the small tweaks that make the difference. Case in point is Google Labs’ recent tweak allowing Google Voice users to play back their messages directly within Gmail. Prior to the add, Google Voicers clicked on “play message,” which would then pop open a new page in their browser — a less-than-streamlined way to retrieve messages.

To activate the Google Voice feature, go to the Labs link in Gmail, scroll down to the “Google Voice player in mail” feature and select and save “enable.” Google also writes that “messages played from Gmail will appear as read in your Google Voice in-box and won’t be played again when you check new messages via your phone.” Over and out.

Change the Title Tags in Blogger for More Search Engine Traffic

It's quite important to have the Post Title + Blog Title arranged accordingly because this is how you would want your blog to be displayed on google's search results. This way more people will click on your link when searching google because the post title is more relevant than your post name.
Example Google Search Results:
You are most likely to click on the bottom image when searching google for the keywords "image reflection generator". The reason being is that your mind reads text from left to right. So it makes sense to have the more important title on the left.

In April I wrote a post that included this image.

Since then I’ve received a few request to turn it into a T-shirt. I never did because I basically stole Shepard Fairey’s work and it seemed wrong to sell an image that I took from another artist and made minor tweaks to. But then I remembered that’s exactly what Shepard Fairey did with Mannie Garcia’s AP photo.

And not only that, Shepard Fairey then sued the AP saying he had the right to steal their image. Now that is one ballsy move. I can only hope he remains as principled about this shirt.
