The rough texture of his nose tip and the slight angle toward the right suggest he’s not likely to change his spendthrift ways anytime soon.

It is midday in Senegal and a chimpanzee is on the hunt. Its target is a bushbaby, a small, cute and nocturnal primate that spends its days sheltered in the hollow of a tree, beyond the reach of predators like the chimp. But this hunter is not like others - it is intelligent, it is dextrous, and it has a plan. Snapping off a thin branch, the chimp strips it of twigs, leaves and bark. And with its teeth, it sharpens the tip into a murderous point.

Many animals, from insects to birds, are known to use tools, but chimpanzees are the most advanced non-human toolmakers of all. They crack nuts with hammers and anvils, and fish for termites using sticks. But fashioning weapons, and using them to hunt is a fresh and advanced trick, even for them, and a trait that was previously deemed to be uniquely human.

Usually hunting is a pursuit for adult male chimps, but Pruetz and Bertolani only saw females and youngsters spearing bushbabies.

BAGHDAD - American troops acting on a tip killed the No. 2 leader of al-Qaida in Iraq — a Moroccan known for his ability to recruit and motivate foreign fighters — in a raid in the northern city of Mosul, the U.S. military said Wednesday.

The military statement described the man, known as Abu Qaswarah, as a charismatic leader who had trained in Afghanistan and managed to rally al-Qaida followers in Iraq despite U.S. and Iraqi security gains.

Rear Adm. Patrick Driscoll, a U.S. spokesman in Baghdad, also said the military suspected that Iranian agents were trying to bribe Iraqi politicians to oppose negotiations over a security pact that would extend the presence of American troops in Iraq.

But, he said, the military had no reason to believe Iraqi politicians had taken the Iranians up on the offers.

In the old German folk tale of Hansel and Gritel the two young children attempt to mark their trail by leaving breadcrumbs on their path as they walk through a forest. In information architecture, especially interface design or GUIs, breadcrumb refers to some sort of visual path that allows the user to see where they are in the interface and to retrace their steps if needed.The technology is called hyperlink connecting Univeral Resource Identifiers.Its the human psychology to virtually traverse through his thoughts on sorting out the infomration he needs.The words in the mind-space is connected through the virtual links tracing the inner thoughts in the process of the data quest.The cliche information at the tip of fingers ... The links in the web page you see in the browser are the virtual representation of information deep down in the cyberspace.Are we entering a metaphysical psyche warp of our mind through these portals? :P

Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Rev. Wright’s anti-Americanism

It looks like Jeremiah Wright was just the tip of the iceberg. Not only did Barack Obama savor Wright’s sermons, Obama gave legitimacy — and a whole lot of money — to education programs built around the same extremist anti-American ideology preached by Reverend Wright. And guess what? Bill Ayers is still palling around with the same bitterly anti-American Afrocentric ideologues that he and Obama were promoting a decade ago. All this is revealed by a bit of digging, combined with a careful study of documents from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the education foundation Obama and Ayers jointly led in the late 1990s.

The fact that Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Wright’s anti-Americanism means that this is now a matter of public policy, and therefore an entirely legitimate issue in this campaign.

Tourist Bashed to Death by Waiters for Being 'Arrogant'

Waiters have allegedly beaten an Australian tourist to death for being "arrogant" while ordering a beer in an Indian restaurant.

John Kelly, 65, is reported to have died of internal injuries sustained when he was beaten by staff at the Club City Restaurant in the Indian resort region of Goa yesterday.

The incident follows the murder of 15-year-old British tourist Scarlett Keeling, who was allegedly raped and left for dead by two local men in Goa in February.

The Times of India and local reports said Mr Kelly's beating followed an altercation in which he displayed an "arrogant attitude".

Worried bookmakers have stopped taking bets on aliens showing up on Earth. It follows a flurry of bets amid internet buzz that a massive intergalactic spaceship will appear tomorrow. Videos and messages on YouTube, blogs and UFO websites are buzzing with predictions that a vessel from the alien Federation Of Light will be visible in our skies for three days. It may all sound more oddball than odds-on - but bookies William Hill are taking it seriously enough to temporarily suspend betting on proof of the existence of intelligent alien life being confirmed by PM Gordon Brown.

The rumour is believed to have been started by "channeler" Blossom Goodchild, who claimed to have received a psychic tip-off.

"It is time to become free from wars, pestilence, famine, poverty, sickness, disease, rich and poor and all the world sufferings." No time was given for the spaceship's arrival.

Shortcut for Multiple Profile in Outlook

Do you use multiple profiles in Outlook? If you go into Control Panel, Mail and select your most used profile in the Always use this profile dropdown, then change it to Always ask... the profile listed when you first start Outlook will be the one you selected and you'll have the option of choosing a different profile.

If you prefer to use shortcuts to open Outlook, you can configure it to open Outlook using a specific profile. Use the command line switch /profile profile_name and replace profile_name with your profile's name. This also works with the Start menu, Run command. Type outlook.exe /profile profile_name in the run box to open Outlook using a specific profile.

BAGHDAD - Worried about the global financial meltdown? Here's a tip: try Iraq.

Stock markets across the globe may be tanking, but the Baghdad bourse is booming, with the general index of Iraq's stock exchange up by nearly 40 percent last month.

Brokers -- sweat stains spreading under their armpits -- wrote the latest stock prices on a wall of whiteboards, the Baghdad bourse's answer to computer screens.

Investors waved and made hand signals at the brokers working behind a low partition. Hotels and banks were the hottest picks among the exchange's 95 listed companies.

"People know the hotel stocks are undervalued ... They think that in the new year companies will come to Iraq and the hotel business will flourish," said investor Saad Jalil, adding that the bourse was the busiest he'd ever seen it.

The world banking crisis won't affect us, our market is sealed off from the outside. We don't even have electronic trading."
