The ark is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide. That's

Anglican priest Peter Owen Jones explores the huge number of ancient Christian texts that didn't make it into the New Testament.
Shocking and challenging, these were works in which Jesus didn't die, took revenge on his enemies and kissed Mary Magdalene on the mouth.
Pete travels through Egypt and the former Roman Empire looking at the evidence of a Christian world very different to the one we know, and finds over seventy gospels, acts, letters and apocalypses all circulating in the early Church.

The more that is revealed about the FBI's still largely-secret case against Bruce Ivins, the more doubts that are raised about whether their accusations are true. A particularly vivid episode illustrating how shoddy the FBI's case seems to be occurred in the last several days.

Ever since the FBI accused Bruce Ivins of being the sole anthrax attacker, one of the most glaring of the many deficiencies in the FBI's case is the complete lack of evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, placing Ivins at the New Jersey mailboxes (the proverbial "scene of the crime") on either of the two dates on which the anthrax letters were sent.

That the FBI is still, to this day, radically changing its story on such a vital issue -- namely, how and when Bruce Ivins traveled to New Jersey, twice, without detection and mailed the anthrax letters -- is a testament to how precarious the FBI's case is.

Tags: anthrax, journalism, terrorism, fbi, law enforcement, bruce ivins

<clipSource>http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/08/18/anthrax/index.html</clipSource>

OOO -Rah

clipped by: bmeuppls
clipper's remarks: Stories from Fallujah about our bravest and finest...

Clip Source: www.nicedoggie.net

Major Doug Zembiec was killed in action while leading a raid in Baghdad on May 11th 2007. In March and April of 2004, 2nd Bn. 1st Marines, among others, fought bloody block to block battles in the Jolan district, pushing the growing numbers of insurgents away from the city outskirts.

Major Doug Zembiec, then a Captain, led Echo Company 2/1 during the heavy fighting of March and April, but the culmination was a ferocious fight on April 26. interactive artist daniel rozin works in a very particular artistic milieu, making mirrors from unreflective surfaces.
one of his creations, 'the wooden mirror' is a testament to his skill in this area. the mirror uses 830 square pieces
of wood which are hooked up to an equal number of small motors which move the wooden blocks according to a
built in camera. the camera picks up movement in light and somehow transfers the signal to the wood. the result
is an eerie representation of reality depicted in tiny wooden pixels. since building 'the wooden mirror' rozin has

experimented with a number of other materials.

Tags: wooden, wood, mirror, art, visual art, daniel rozin

<clipSource>http://www.designboom.com/weblog/read.php?CATEGORY_PK=&TOPIC_PK=2897</clipSource>

'DMT Space'

clipped by: cakebelly
clipper's remarks: http://realitysandwich.com/voyaging_dmt_space_with_dr_rick_strassman_md

Clip Source: realitysandwich.com

Voyaging to DMT Space with Dr. Rick Strassman, M.D.

Dr. Rick Strassman, pioneering

with strange and sometimes disturbing alien beings with advanced technology in
what amounted to classical UFO "abduction" experiences.

<clipSource>http://realitysandwich.com/voyaging_dmt_space_with_dr_rick_strassman_md</clipSource>

"Gay" man sues Bible publishers, part 3

clipped by: kris_tea

Clip Source: www.worldnetdaily.com

Fowler alleges both Zondervan and Thomas Nelson, with its King James Bible, manipulated Scripture without informing the public by using the term "homosexuals" in a New Testament passage, 1 Corinthians 6:9.

He told the Grand Rapids TV station in an interview he wants to "compensate for the past 20 years of emotional duress and mental instability."

Zondervan, he contended, is misinterpreting the Bible.

"These are opinions based on the publishers," Fowler said. New Testament accounts describe him as having wounds you could stick your hands in, something that you can't normally do to living people, but dead people also aren't walking around. There are no stories about Jesus eating people's brains, but we can hardly expect his followers to draw attention to such behavior. Communion is about eating Jesus, not the other way around.

Codex Sinaiticus is one of the most important books in the world. Handwritten well over 1600 years ago, the manuscript contains the Christian Bible in Greek, including the oldest complete copy of the New Testament. Its heavily corrected text is of outstanding importance for the history of the Bible and the manuscript – the oldest substantial book to survive Antiquity – is of supreme importance for the history of the book.
