A careful read of the Koran and the Hadiths shows that the Allah of Islam is anything but loving, and that Allah’s idea of justice is simple: Follow My law, or My servants will make sure that you die slowly and painfully.

This statement, however, is incorrect: that no faith justifies such acts. The Army’s Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for recommending charges, prompting the military equivalent of a grand jury, known as an Article 32 hearing, where both prosecutors and defense can present evidence.

Those results would be reviewed by the base commander, who would decide whether to convene a court-martial. That means, of course, Hasan will presumably be prosecuted for his actions.

But what will the legal proceedings look like for Hasan? The Houston Chronicle attempts to answer the question in a story out Monday.

A key question concerning Hasan’s fate hinges on whether civilian prosecutors conclude he was part of a terrorist plot that might justify moving his case into the federal criminal courts under U.S. anti-terrorism laws. If prosecutors, on the other hand, determine that Hasan acted alone, he could face the death penalty in a military court-martial.

Tags: lone killer or part of terrorist plot, mass murderer, media political correctness, military tribunal or criminal court?, nidal hasan

<clipSource>http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2009/11/09/whats-likely-to-happen-to-maj-nidal-malik-hasan/</clipSource>

UK is now spelt C-H-I-N-A

clipped by: drummond1999
clipper's remarks: The UK government is moving in leaps and bounds to becoming the most repressive state in Europe. Not a big well-thought-out plot centrally directed from a “safe haven” in South Asia and undertaken by brilliant covert operatives, but the desperate violent act of a clearly disturbed individual. It’s going to be very hard to prevent this sort of thing. As long as the United States remains a country in which firearms are widely available"for the foreseeable future, in other words"we’re going to be unusually vulnerable to mentally ill spree killers of various kinds, including spree killers who nod in the direction of Islamist thinking.

But the larger point is that while these incidents are serious crimes and major tragedies for the victims, they hardly rise to the level of a major macro-level social crisis. They’re certainly not a first-order national security threat. In a face-off with Nation columnist John Nichols about whether the Fort Hood tragedy can be called “terrorism,” Chesler made the crucial points that Hasan was a jihadist, that there is an ideology of radical Islam that is at war with this nation, and that the U.S. Army simply has to become a “politically correct free zone” if it is to protect not only this country but also the lives of its own troops.

Chesler was also, as usual, on target by levelling criticism at President Obama for his failure to even mention the reality of Islamic jihad in his Fort Hood speech today. (Deuteronomy, for example, prescribes stoning to death for those who “served other gods and worshipped them.”) The problem is the radical element that uses the Quran as an excuse to engage in terrorism and the failure of many moderate Muslims to condemn the extremists.

Clip Source: www.newsmax.com

FBI: 10% of U.S. Mosques Preach Jihad

Tuesday, November 10, 2009 12:09 PM

By: Ronald Kessler

Imams preach jihad and extremism in 10 percent of the 2,000 mosques in the United States, the FBI estimates.

That sums up the problem facing us as we ponder the meaning of Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s slayings of 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas. Given his association with a pro-al-Qaida imam in northern Virginia and his preoccupation with radical Islamic Web sites, it’s clear that the radical element of Islam influenced Hasan.

On the other hand, those who condemn Muslims in general because of the actions of Hasan and others like him are engaging in prejudice that has no place in America. Indeed, such stereotyping sets back the war on terror, because we need moderate Muslims on our side.

<clipSource>http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/Mosques_preach_jihad/2009/11/10/284270.html?s=al&promo_code=9099-1</clipSource>

Homosexual blog forecasts violence against Christians

clipped by: jay8h

Clip Source: www.onenewsnow.com

Homosexual blog forecasts violence against Christians

The FBI is investigating terrorism threats posted on a homosexual blog that appear to be aimed at Christians.

In this online conversation, Fritz goes on to say, "This happens in all cases where people are oppressed and lack representation.
