That theory is based on linguistic associations with Caucasus' languages and the fact that Hurrian names are absent from the historical record until Akkadian times.

But Piotr Michaelowski, an Assyriologist at the University of Michigan, notes that Hurrian, like Sumerian, is a language unrelated to Semitic or Indo-European tongues that dominated the region during and after the third millennium B.C.
Perhaps, he suggests, the Hurrians were earlier inhabitants of the region, who, like the Sumerians, had to make room for the Semitic-speaking people who created the world's first empire based at Akkad in central Mesopotamia around 2350 B.C.

to that found in Egypt and Sumer. With its constant reference to bulls, sheep
and fish, the Bible portrays definite echoes of an ancient astrological
religion, a story of the constellations onto which the history of the
patriarchal family has been grafted. In Gilgamesh, we find a similar epic tale
of a battle with bulls and sheep, one that can just possibly be interpreted as a
clash of the stellar constellations, a battle between Aries and Taurus.

Back in the early part of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt,

Taurus was about to cede its rule to the next constellation in line - Aries. A
computer planisphere can precisely date these astronomical eras and it appears
that he era of Taurus (the bull) lasted until about 1800 BC, when Aries (the
sheep) came into ascendance.

Tags: stars, egypt, ancient, mars, venus, literature

<clipSource>http://www.world-mysteries.com/gw_rellis7.htm</clipSource>

Creative ways to recycle ordinary objects

clipped by: Aribeth
clipper's remarks: Recycling doesn’t have to be limited to helping the environment: it can also be a challenge and opportunity to ingenious designers who work with materials most people would consider waste to create amazing things. Some of the above designs serve multiple purposes: illustrating the material possibilities of what most would consider trash while also maximizing the aesthetic potential of what would otherwise be considered waste objects. Clothes become rugs, airline trolleys become furniture, cardboard becomes bridges and sewage turns into building blocks!

Clip Source: ecoble.com

The Volksware The marking of time and the references about time permeate every culture on Earth. Where did the keeping or marking of time come from? The answer could be out of this world. Literally. The ancient Sumer are credited with creating the hour, minute and second and we still use the exact same increments today. So, how did the ancient Sumerians come up with this revolutionary and long lasting idea?

Tags: ancient space travel, annunaki, annunaki watches, atlantium, is time from the stars, roc hatfield, sumer time keepers, sumerian biotech

<clipSource>http://atlantium.blogspot.com/2007/07/atlantium-episode-xxxvi.html</clipSource>

Old Quebec City Cuties

clipped by: swampfoxz
clipper's remarks: If there is one city in Quebec which has hotter females than Montreal,it’s got to be Quebec City. The sumer seems to bring out the very best in minimal apparel and flirtatious behavior.
For those of you who enjoy sightseeing, the old fort and it’s grounds are sure to have worthwhile photographic subjects. The bars and cafes all have terraces and mucho cervesas but there is so much more that can’t be put into words.

Clip Source: www.swampfoxz.com

Old Quebec City Cuties

If there is one city in Quebec which has hotter females than Montreal,it’s got to be Quebec City. The sumer seems to bring out the very best in minimal apparel and flirtatious behavior.

Numerous tablets have been discovered and it is probable that many others exist. The tablets contain volumes of information, records of financial transactions, decrees, news announcements a veritable clay database. The most striking information contained in these 6500 year old tablets is the record of the Anunnaki. In the Sumer language Anunnaki means "those who came down from heaven". The Sumer record of the Anunnaki have been well known since the early nineteenth century. Like so many ancient artifacts and texts they seem mundane until seen through the filter of modern scientific understanding. The elaborate records maintained by the Sumarians concerning the Anunnaki were until just recently believed to be a creation myth. Many archaeologists and mythologists that have studied the records fail to see any connection between ancient Sumer and the world today.

Tags: ancient sumerian biotech, atlantium, roc hatfield, anunnaki, anunnaki human hybrids

<clipSource>http://atlantium.blogspot.com/2007/01/atlantium-episode-xii.html</clipSource>

Sumerian artifacts came from Asia

clipped by: invictus
clipper's remarks: Very interesting and thought provoking findings in ancient Sumerian site Ur.

Clip Source: www.payvand.com

French archaeologist says Ur royal tomb artifacts came from Burnt City

TEHRAN, Dec. 14 (Mehr News Agency) -- French archaeologist Michèle Casanova said that the artifacts unearthed from the royal tombs in the ancient Sumerian city of Ur came from Iran's 5200-year-old Burnt City, the Persian service of CHN reported on Friday.

"Now, we are almost certain that the beautiful artifacts discovered in the city of Ur had been brought from the Burnt City, Jiroft, and Central Asia. This fact raises many questions, including why trade relations were established between the regions," Casanova said.

Casanova, who is also an expert on ornamental stones and particularly lapis lazuli, and several other foreign archaeologists are working together with the Iranian team at the Burnt City, near the city of Zabol in Sistan-Baluchestan Province.

"The most interesting point is that all the ornamental dishes made of soapstone have been discovered in temples and royal tombs," noted Casanova, who is also a professor at the University of Rennes.

"This fact indicates that ornamental dishes were very common, so the artifacts were buried with ordinary people. However, such dishes had been brought to Mesopotamia as a precious object for temples and royal families," he explained.
