Deer loses head-butt with Wisconsin lawn ornament

A love-struck buck ran out of luck a week ago.

The seven-point buck was killed when it rammed a 640-pound concrete statue of an elk in the backyard of Mark and Carol Brye's home in rural Viroqua, Wis.

Bucks often fight during the breeding season, commonly called the rut. Dominant bucks defend breeding territories and female deer by sparring with subordinate bucks. Antler battles sometimes result in the death of one or both deer, but usually end with the biggest buck winning and the smaller buck high-tailing it out to another area.

This 640-pound concrete elk statue lies on its side in the backyard of Mark and Carol Brye s home in rural Viroqua. The dead buck lies about 20 feet away.

Brye, 58, is considering removing the antlers from the unlucky buck and gluing them on the elk statue as a remembrance of the strange but true story.

The deer is butchered and in Brye's freezer. The elk remains on its side.

what if the primary purpose of dreaming isn’t psychological at all?

clipper's remarks: Texas is not the only place with people in power embarrassing the town but this is pretty good - fining people for something that's not a crime. It says as much about those who trained and managed them and the courts in their jurisdictions as it does about the officers with misplaced sense of being word police.

Question is what would happen if one of these officers got stopped in London - England, not Ohio; could they be cited for refusing to speak the Queen's English?

Driving Without English

Police officers giving drivers $204 tickets for not speaking English? It sounds like a rejected Monty Python sketch. Except the grim reality is that it has happened at least 39 times in Dallas since January 2007, according to The Dallas Morning News. At least six officers in several different patrol divisions wrote the tickets, each time citing a driver for violating a law that does not exist.

Mr Obama seems a curiously bloodless president.

It is often anyone's guess as to whether an event or issue truly moves him.

I never thought I'd hear myself say it," one Democrat told me. "But Obama makes you feel that at least with Bush you knew where he was on something.

When Mr Bush's Republicans were defeated in the 2006 mid-term elections, it was the President himself who stepped up and declared that his party had received "a thumpin'"

Mr Obama acted as if nothing at all had happened.

And to think that it was Mr Bush who was always accused of being "in denial".

More serious perhaps was Mr Obama's strange disconnectedness over the Fort Hood massacre

Completely missing was the eloquence that Mr Obama employs when talking about himself.

It could do him good to show he has a bit of fire in his belly. Perhaps he might make a decision or two based on gut instinct and deep conviction. In other words, maybe he should try being a bit more like Mr Bush.

* New York Magazine linked the death to that of ‘some wide-eyed, hysterical woman' named Michelle Bachman. (The irony in this is that the reference to a wide-eyed, hysterical woman was made in an article mentioning Nancy Pelosi).

Remember the case of the Census worker who was found hanging from a tree with the word ‘fed' scrawled across his chest? You remember - he died at the hands of right-wing commentators and anti-government tea partiers. He was killed because of an overwhelming case of right-wing paranoia. He was murdered by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Bachmann, and Fox News.

Keep this quiet though...

While the death of Bill Sparkman was a media sensation for pushing anti-conservative sentiments just a couple of months ago, it is receiving little to no coverage currently. Why? Because, as investigators have recently speculated, there is a possibility that he died by his own hands.

As the AP states,

"The strange case attracted national attention when it first came to light, prompting worries that it may be a sign of increased anger toward the federal government in the first year of Barack Obama's presidency."

Prompting worries from whom? The unhinged left wishing to create sensational accusations?

It has been a strange situation as of late with Randy Quaid and his wife Evi. And after missing a total of four court dates, they’ve finally posted bond.

The “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” funnyman and his bride were charged with skipping out on a $10,000 luxury hotel bill as well as burglary, defrauding an innkeeper, and conspiracy.

And now their court date has been set for December 15th, their 5th proposed date so far. District Attorney Lee Carter stated, “They have posted bond. If they don’t show up to court a bounty hunter will go and get them.

Randy and Evi each had to come up with $20,000 to stay out of jail until their court appearance. They have declined to comment.

For the youngster barely old enough to start senior school has just become a MOTHER after going into labour during her WEDDING to her teenage boyfriend.

She was still wearing her flowing white dress and tiara when she arrived at hospital and gave birth to 5lb 8oz Violeta.

But after spending the night with her newborn, Kordeza - who you can see on video below - changed back into her wedding dress and nipped out to finish the ceremony.

And the Zhelyazkova family couldn't be happier for their child bride - the youngest girl ever to give birth in a city where 13-year-old mums are routine.

After leaving hospital this week, Kordeza - who fell pregnant within two weeks of her 11th birthday - spoke exclusively to the News of the World.

With proud husband Jeliazko Dimitrov, 19, at her side, Kordeza admitted: "It feels strange to be a mum and have a baby.
