clipper's remarks: The evidence is overwhelming. Carrying on from the woeful Labour regime, this soporific administration has done nothing for the disabled. When the National Servicemen told the Council that the organisation for their disabled members was inadequate, they were attacked.
Try getting an 18 stone former regular soldier onto a bur with his wheel chair. As often as not you cannot, because their is a pram already on the bus. The Disabilities Act requires the Transport Authorities to make available disabled spaces. Only Stagecoach in this area enforces the Law and requires young adults to fold away their carriages and sit their children on their laps. I would love to be able to do this with the 18 stone gentleman, but I cannot.
All the disabled ask for is their RIGHTS underwritten in Law. Unfortunately, it is not the young parent who is the pariah, but it is usually the elderly who have no conception of what it is like to be imprisoned in a wheel-chair, the problems that carers have

Blackpool Council 'chucks out' disabled daughters

Dawn Ashton, 40, who suffers from cerebral palsy, and Joanne Smith, 38, who has been diagnosed with spina bifida, spend two to three days a week at the facility on Whitegate Drive.

For around 20 years, Dawn and Joanne have enjoyed going to the day centre for lunch and to take part in craft and pottery sessions – giving their mothers a much needed break.

Wells Fargo banks on virtual worlds to gather real-world interest

If you don't think virtual worlds can mirror reality, imagine losing your cool new virtual car because you haven't made your virtual payments.

That's the idea behind on Stagecoach Island, a private virtual world created by financial services company Wells Fargo to teach basic financial skills to the age 14-24 demographic.

“We wanted to stay focused on our mission to provide financial education and we decided the best way to do that while protecting our brand is to build our own island,” said Gina Fung, VP of experiential marketing at Wells Fargo. “Young adults find themselves facing a lot of firsts, and we felt Stagecoach Island could give them hands-on practice in financial responsibility in an entertaining and safe format.”

What is NATURMOBILNatur is the Latin root of the word ‘nature’. Drop the ‘e’, add a bit of what it does and there you have it – Naturmobil. It looks a bit like a modern stagecoach, in that, just like in the olden days, it’s run by a horse. But we haven’t added an engine, or any other fancy technology. The horse runs along on a conveyor belt, which then powers the vehicle. You still need a human at the steering wheel, of course! Essentially, Naturmobil could act as an advertising tool. Imagine your business or logo on the sides of such an eye-catching mode of transport!

YE KENDALL INN, BOERNE, TEXAS

In the picturesque hilling country town of Boerne, Texas stands the Ye Kendall Inn.

Built in the 1859 as the stagecoach stop in town and known as the Ye Kendall Inn since the early twentieth century, this elegent home has recently seen a marked increase in the supernatural.

Multiple rooms, including the Marcella Booth room, are home to very active spirits. Doors occasionally swing open and slam shut. The rattling of doorknobs is often seen and heard from inside an empty room. On more than one occasion shards from a chandelier have fallen to the floor unexpectedly at an alarming rate. The ghost of an elderly woman, known as Sara, dressed in Victorian clothing has been seen and even spoken to.

The Ye Kendall Inn, a state and national historic landmark with a beautiful view of Cibolo Creek and Boerne's Main Plaza will not dissapoint those in search of Hill Country charm and ghostly allure.

“The billionaire said business had a duty to future generations and the money would come from the profits of his Virgin Group’s airline and train operations, making it one of the most significant investments by a private firm in green initiatives.

The funds will be invested in schemes to develop new renewable energy technologies, including new biofuels for aircraft which could cut down on damaging CO2 gases.

“As part of the investment, more than half of the profits of Virgin Trains - of which Sir Richard’s Virgin Group owns 51% - will be allocated to the environment.

“Perth-based Stagecoach, which has the remaining 49% stake in Virgin Trains, said it had no plans to match Branson’s pledge.
A Stagecoach spokesman said it had been aware of the Virgin Group’s announcement, and it hoped to pilot some of the renewable energy initiatives financed by Sir Richard.
