clipper's remarks: How?

Arriving as a young soldier in the Army of Occupation in Germany, after World War II, my heart was filled with hate for a people whose government had done some despicable things.

The Nuremberg Trials and the (now empty) concentration camps I saw permitted no denial. How did such law-respecting people permit incarceration without trial? Why did such an advanced nation tolerate barbaric torture of prisoners?

How could they allow their government to invade smaller, weaker nations for reasons that were transparently untrue?

How could such intelligent people be subjugated into silence by childlike threats of being labeled unpatriotic for proposing any improvement of the system?

How could such good people tolerate such evil, especially since it quite obviously existed solely to satisfy the self-serving whims of demented leaders?

Sadly, we now have the answers.

After my friend, Lilly went missing, her fiance, Christen Pacheco, told me that Lilly often mentioned this symbolic picture. She said he was like the soldier pointing his weapon, and she was like the girl holding the flower.

I think about this statement a lot lately. It saddens me. I miss my friend so much.

I threw families onto the street in Iraq, only to come home and ﬁnd families thrown onto the street in this country, in this tragic and unnecessary foreclosure crisis. Our enemies are not ﬁve thousand miles away, they are right here at home, and if we organize and ﬁght, we can stop this war, we can stop this government, and we can create a better world.

We were told we were ﬁghting terrorists; the real terrorist was me, and the real terrorism is this occupation. Racism within the military has long been an important tool to justify the destruction and occupation of another country. Without racism, soldiers would realize that they have more in common with the Iraqi people than they do with the billionaires who send us to war.

We never got any explanation for our orders. We were only told that a group of ﬁve or six houses was now property of the U.S. military, and we had to go in and make those families leave their houses.

Afghanistan Under the Bombs

A bit past midnight on a balmy night in late August, Hedayatullah awoke to a deafening blast. He stumbled out of bed and heard angry voices drawing closer. Suddenly, his bedroom doors banged open and dozens of silhouetted figures burst in, some shouting in a strange language.

The intruders blindfolded Hedayatullah and, screaming with fury, forced him to the ground. An Afghan voice told him not to move or speak, or he would be killed. He listened for sounds from the next room, where his brother Noorullah slept with his family. He could hear his nephew, eight months old, crying hysterically. Then came the sound of an automatic rifle, after which his nephew fell silent.

"We are the Afghan National Army, here to accompany the American military. The Americans have killed one of your sons and his two children. They also shot his wife and they're taking her to the hospital."

"Why?" Hedayatullah's mother stammered.

"There is no why," the soldier replied.

High quality images are downloaded from NASA websites and reviewed by sharp eyed believers who are constantly battling with a troop of NASA airbrush artists bent on removing any and all evidence. What are they looking for exactly? Solid photographic evidence of ancient ruins on the Moon and Mars.

clipper's remarks: Poll numbers and respectable expert opinion is overwhelming - but Obama's growing lead in the Electoral Collage growing by leaps and bounds.

He's now estimated to have 264 electoral votes while McCain is estimated to only have less than 180.

Yet a lot of talking heads yawn, say it was boring, or pretend that the baseball play-offs are more important (an effort at trivializing Obama's victories) -- and they continue to report smear and slander advertising campaigns against Obama as if it was news.

As if a womanizer, crap shooter, ego manic ex-fly boy who confessed to war crimes in Vietnam and pleaded for special treatment when a POW is a better choice?

There were real heroes in Vietnam but he wasn't one of them. And despite Vietnam being another undeclared war built on lies a soldier is suppose to be loyal and not give aid to the enemy.

At least the smear, above, is based on truth; and we can't lose this election because Republican throw more *hit.

The former Democratic congresswoman from Georgia who now is the Green Party's candidate for president has claimed the government killed 5,000 prison inmates during Hurricane Katrina, dumping their bodies in a Louisiana swamp, according to a Fox News report.

Cynthia McKinney told a news conference in Oakland., Calif., Sunday she heard the story from the mother of a National Guard soldier, and she checked it with "insiders" who want to remain anonymous.

"And these were mostly males and her son was afraid to talk because he had signed a silence agreement," McKinney said, according to Fox News. "So he only complained to his mother. But the data was entered into a Pentagon computer."

The plot revolves around a retelling of the Scrooge story, this time on Independence Day. A leftist documentary filmmaker named Michael Malone (Kevin Farley) plots, with MoveAlong.org, to abolish the Fourth of July. Soon, he is visited by three spirits who show him what the world would be like if the United States had never waged war. While hostile critics will call it an apology for warmongering, it cannot be stereotyped with such a simplistic, not to mention inhuman, message. One film soldier tells protestors he, too, opposes war, but it is sometimes inevitable. The film’s true message is that there is evil in the world, and it must be opposed by moral good backed by might.

. Most Americans, of whatever political persuasion, will be entertained. All should appreciate the intellectual rogues who dared to make a film that exposes the Left for what it is – and their sense of humor in making such a film a joy to watch.
