Spike.com orders up 'PG Porn'

Shortform series re-creates porn dialogue

Spike.com has ordered shortform series "James Gunn's PG Porn," which brings together primetime TV stars and leading porn actresses for comic -- and platonic -- vignettes. Safran Digital Group produces and distributes in association with Good Boy Prods.

Nathan Fillion ("Desperate Housewives") and Michael Rosenbaum ("Smallville") join adult-film stars including Aria Giovanni, Belladonna and Sasha Grey in re-creations of dialogue from porn films, minus the actual sex, of course.

Fillion, who already scored himself a webisode hit with "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," appears alongside Giovanni, who counts "Porn" as her first onscreen kiss with a man.

Premiering Oct. 8, "Porn" were written and directed by Gunn ("Dawn of the Dead"). SDG also has Gunn set up to produce "Humanzee," one in a series of originals the company has coming to Microsoft Xbox.

Task

Go to the website: http://www.karaokeparty.com/en
(You don't have to register or have a microphone, but if you do it will be more fun)
Find a song which you like.
Click on the Preview button to listen to the song, or watch the video
Look at the lyrics (words of the song) at the bottom of Each page.
Try to sing along.
If you register and log in, you can get a score for your singing, but you'll need a micrphone.

I hope you enjoyed this activity. If you did then try to learn a few more songs.

First we had the X Factor for talented singers. Now we have the Rex Factor for hounds with an impressive howl.

Believe it or not, more than 30 dogs barked before judges to try to gain a place in a special canine choir.

Owners used every trick in the book to ensure their pet gave the best performance at the auditions.

A Jack Russell called Angus started to whine only once he listened to some Bob Dylan.

Another dog could perform only once he heard the Coronation Street theme tune, while Luciano Pavarotti's rendition of Puccini's Nessun Dorma inspired another pet to pant like mad.

Project organiser Grace Davies said: 'A bassett hound named Edward proved an accomplished bass baritone capable of howling continuously, and Zac the border collie's sing-along style was noted by the judges.'

The winners of the contest will feature in a recording of A Song For Jack in memory of retriever Swansea Jack, who won medals in the 1930s for rescuing people drowning in the docks in Swansea, south Wales.

US rivals shine at church forum

The crowd in the cavernous auditorium were well-dressed, largely white and impeccably polite.

In the unforgiving sun they had queued to go through security screening and take their seats. Helicopters buzzed overhead and secret service look-outs prowled the roof.

Inside, a well-dressed band played soft rock, interspersed with singers belting out devotion.

When a steely-jawed MC introduced the national anthem, everyone in the auditorium stood up, and, to my amazement, so did most of the people in our press tent.

Even when the sound feed to the press tent faltered and died through the first notes, members of the press corps started their own sing-along of the Star Spangled Banner (your correspondent not included). This was clearly a patriotic crowd both inside and out.

Billed as the first joint appearance by both presidential hopefuls, it was tightly controlled to avoid clashes.

A Chinese zoo is creating a singing wolf troupe - and is also planning to teach them how to dance.

Luo Yong, a keeper at Chongqing Wild Zoo, said he discovered the wolves' singing ability by accident, reports People's Daily.

"Once I was playing guitar and singing the song 'I Am A Wolf From The North', and a young wolf I raised walked up to me and stared at me. Suddenly he howled with the rhythm, and even patted the strings with his claw," he said.

Luo said that ever since he dedicated himself to training his wolf group, and now all 30 wolves at the zoo can sing along to a rhythm.

"My next plan is to find someone to write a song just for them, and also to find people to teach them disco dancing," he added optimistically.

clipper's remarks: Cool government web site that has all sorts of stuff for kids, one of those things being an index of lyrics and tunes to Sing-Alongs.

I have been having a blast finding songs we used to sing at the summer picnics my neighborhood (Capital Hill, Seattle, Wa) used to have in the 70's. They were hosted by the Bullit sp? family, former owners of KING 5 TV. I just happened to be lucky enough to be best friends with someone who lived accross the street from them. We always sang songs when it started getting dark.

I have a lot of good memories about those picnics. They were nice people too. One year they paid for me to go to summer camp because my family couldn't afford it. We didn't ask, I think they heard if from one of my friends.
