Starting out from the getgo, a sock to the jaw of about disunity, a speech that started about Barack Obama, a proud supporter about Barack Obama. Then a lot about her, some about George Bush, twist will it all back to get her supporters to recognize that their goals are now best served by Barack Obama. Then Michelle, then Biden, then several key, strongest hits against John McCain we've heard at this convention and finally tying it all back together. I don't know how it could have been better.

OLBERMANN: If that was to be more about tone than content, pitch perfect. If it was supposed to be more about content than tone, pitch perfect. If that was supposed to be about friendliness and what they call accessibility, couldn't have done it better. Couldn't have done it better. And the premise of this speech, to try to erase doubts that now seem difficult to voice aloud because they seem almost foolish, that could not have gone better for them. Staff persons who've served for four years and want a little distance from the intensity of the hospital can create their fantasy living space in our village.

I want to tell all readers that the journey has been heavenly all along the way. Simply being in an idealist quest is its own reward. I've never felt I've sacrificed anything or thought it was a hard journey. Hard would have been having to work in corporate medicine and lie to patients and myself every day. My concern for humanity's future drives me to want to put whatever efforts I can to changing everything that hurts people and nature. The Gesundheit! Institute is that for me, and so many others.

Good health was much more deeply related to close friendships

All of these are time-consuming, impractical needs. When we don't meet these needs, the business of high-tech medicine diagnoses mental illness and treats with pills.

We wanted patients to bring all their interests and skills to essentially become temporary staff as well as patients during their stay

we have added to our vision a school to teach social change with the whole community

all of the activity to be infused with fun

The point was not to try to teach a staff this, but to find people for whom this was their way of life

In our first 12 years (1971-1983) we did all this as a pilot project. Twenty adults

totaling 15,000 people over those 12 years

We were never sued

No one gave us a donation and we were 0:1400 for foundation grants, so our staff had to work part-time jobs to pay to practice medicine

Iranian woman arrested after alleging sexual harrasment

A female Iranian student who alleged sexual harassment by a male teacher has been arrested.

The woman claimed she had been molested by the vice-chancellor of the university where she was studying.

Her original complaint triggered a massive demonstration by her fellow students in the Iranian city of Zanjan, who took control of the campus, staging a sit-in and taking into custody the alleged perpetrator.

Students claim to have an audio recording of the lecturer sexually propositioning the girl.

University authorities suspended the teacher and agreed to form a joint committee with students to look into the issue.

But the alleged victim and perpetrator are now in custody, with the girl being threatened with prosecution because she publicised the alleged crime, which is also regarded as an offence.

This may have been the case in the past, but things have clearly changed. In this short video, Moore asks an obvious common sense question that no one seems to be able to answer:

"Why can't we see the Pentagon videos from 9/11?"

The Pentagon is surrounded by dozens of video security cameras and yet except for one useless clip, none of this footage has ever been released. Why not?

What struck the Pentagon on 9/11? Whatever it was it failed to leave the wreckage of an airliner.

clipper's remarks: As one listens to his conservative radio talk personality, one is moved to question whether it's his true self, not because Savage isn't consistent in his views, but because the views are so grotesque it's difficult to believe that anyone-let alone a former beatnik-could espouse them with a straight face. While it's more than passing strange for a homophobic, conservative radio host to work out of San Francisco, Savage continues to broadcast nationally from his base in the city he likes to call "San Fran Sicko. In his book The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Borders, Language and Culture, he writes, "I was raised on neglect, anger, and hate. Who is Michael Savage? On its surface the question seems obvious: he's a 66-year-old nationally syndicated conservative talk radio host whose program, The Savage Nation, airs five days a week from its home base of KNEW in San Francisco.

He's the founder of the Paul Revere Society, which, according to its mission statement, aims to "take back our borders, our language, and our traditional culture from the liberal left corroding our great nation." He's a former MSNBC cable television talk host who was fired after four months on the job after he told a phone caller, "You should only get AIDS and die, you pig." He's also the third most popular radio talk show host in America, whose weekly audience of more than eight million listeners is surpassed only by Limbaugh and Hannity.

Dig deeper, however, and the question of who Savage is, and how truly savage he is, becomes far more complicated.

Michael Moore forgot to mention what the United States does have that other countries do not: A Declaration of Independence. A Constitution. A Bill of Rights. The concepts of individual rights, personal choice, free markets, private investment that develops most of the world's new medications, and the benefit of a private relationship between physicians and their patients without third-party interference.

In his hymn to every other nation's superiority to America—in proportion to their commitment to collectivism—Michael Moore forgot to mention any American values at all.

When Mr. Moore filmed two of his relatives buying health insurance in fear before they traveled to America, he forgot to mention that many Canadians travel to America for the express purpose of spending their own money for more than $1 billion in American health care each year.

Michael Moore forgot to mention why he jammed seriously ill patients into a small boat to take them to Cuba, in order to film a stunt attempting to prove the superiority of Cuban health care-when, for much less money, he could have written them a check for care in America. It must have been compassion.

Most importantly, when Mr. Moore mentioned that "every industrial country" except the United States has adopted medical socialism, he did not mention why that means that we should.

Many of those countries have long waiting lists and severe rationing of health care. Should the United States?

I could point you towards Michael Moore’s film “Sicko” as a good starting point. If you’re not American then the terms, ‘out of network’ are meaningless. But if I tell you that being ‘in network’ doesn’t work either, then that would only add to your confusion.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - France, Japan and Australia rated best and the United States worst in new rankings focusing on preventable deaths due to treatable conditions in 19 leading industrialized nations, researchers said on Tuesday.

They called such deaths an important way to gauge the performance of a country's health care system.

"I wouldn't say it (the last-place ranking) is a condemnation, because I think health care in the U.S. is pretty good if you have access. But if you don't, I think that's the main problem, isn't it?" Nolte said in a telephone interview.
