She believes that creationism should be taught in public schools but disbelieves global warming; she opposes gun control but supports government control of women’s wombs; she opposes stem cell research but approves “abstinence-only” programs, which increase unwanted births, sexually transmitted diseases and abortions; she tried to use taxpayers’ millions for a state program to shoot wolves from the air but didn’t spend enough money to fix a state school system with the lowest high-school graduation rate in the nation; she runs with a candidate who opposes the Fair Pay Act but supports $500 million in subsidies for a natural gas pipeline across Alaska; she supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve, though even McCain has opted for the lesser evil of offshore drilling. She is Phyllis Schlafly, only younger.

<clipSource>http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/09/06/steinem-sarah-palin-shares-nothing-but-a-chromosome-with-hillary/</clipSource>

What Cindy wore for her RNC speech: $313,000

clipped by: masbury
clipper's remarks: For how many years would Cindy's clothes outlay for one night feed your family? We can't talk about science, because our knowledge of it is limited and unofficial, and usually our fiction is dreadful. A few years ago, no college or university would ever have considered inviting one of us to speak.

SCIENTISTS SAY THAT MICE CANNOT BE MADE TO LOOK LIKE HUMAN BEINGS. It was a federally funded research program, I suppose. Just think: Someone in this world is an authority on the topic of whether mice can or cannot put on two-tone shoes, derby hats, pinstriped shirts, and Dacron pants, and pass as humans.

So I ask, in my writing, What is real?

I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. of a lap tray. To give the rug support it was glue gunned to two pieces of sturdy cardboard with an opening cut out for the waist. A slit was also
cut through the carpet and cardboard to make flaps that could be bent up to allow the carpet to slide easily off or just leave the back open. To make
the legs, stuff sweat pants with fiberfill. Position the stuffed legs folded on the carpet and glue in place. You can make "genie type" shoes from
gold material or purchase at costume stores. To give the effect of the sky, glue strips of blue streamers around the carpet.
I get no pleasure from imagining her in the spotlight on national and foreign policy issues about which she has zero background, with one month to learn to compete with Sen. Joe Biden's 37 years' experience. When asked last month about the vice presidency, she said, "I still can't answer that question until someone answers for me: What is it exactly that the VP does every day?" When asked about Iraq, she said, "I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."

Clip Source: www.latimes.com

Here's the good news: Women have become so politically powerful that even the anti-feminist right wing -- the folks with a headlock on the Republican Party -- are trying to appease the gender gap with a first-ever female vice president. We owe this to women -- and to many men too -- who have picketed, gone on hunger strikes or confronted violence at the polls so women can vote.

But here is even better news: It won't work. This isn't the first time a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and opposes everything most other women want and need. Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women everywhere. It's not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It's about baking a new pie.

To vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs."

<clipSource>http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-steinem4-2008sep04,0,7541303.story?track=ntothtml</clipSource>

Dress Shoes

clipped by: NCJE19
clipper's remarks: its nice

Clip Source: www.sears.com

Giorgio Brutini Riveria

$59.99 each <DEL> $75.00 each </DEL>
Save 20 %

thru 09/06/08

All items on sale

<FIELDSET class="selectOptions"> </FIELDSET>

In stock for delivery

<A class="Offer" href="javascript:alert('This link contains javascript. Our Earth Activist Training Sustainable Skills Bus has been seized without cause by the police.

When asked why they pulled the bus over they refused to answer.

Shortly afterward Sergeant Paul Davis, a commercial vehicle inspector arrived on scene. Despite the polices insistence that the reason for impoundment was for a commercial vehicle inspection the Permibus crew were not allowed to remove anything from the bus including computers, toiletries, and 17-year-old Megan Wilson's shoes.

"If the combined law enforcement of Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Ramsey County, and the State of Minnesota can pull over and impound a vehicle and home used to teach organic gardening and sustainability, one has to wonder what it is our government really fears. After all, we seek to teach people that the real meaning of homeland security is local food, fuel and energy production. For that we have had our lives stolen by government men with guns."

<clipSource>http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message597346/pg1</clipSource>
