Twitter is a fantastic search engine and powerful business tool. It is fast moving and it's easy to get carried away and follow all information that is sent to you.

It's also easy to trust everything that appears, at first glance, to have come from a Twitter follower.

I have just received a message from one of my Twitter buddies that said " Hey. tell me if thats you.. http://bacn.me/dt1" or "http://videos.twitter.zoltykatalogfirm.com/"

By all means click on the link but whatever you do, don't add your log-in details. I put in some false details just to test and the page just hangs - if they were my genuine details then I would have just let a spammer in to circulate messages using my account.

I had two similar messages this morning; one from the same person and the other from someone else who I know would not have normally sent anything like this.
