The Snuggie is one of the most raved about tv products out there, so we at TvTopTen had to give it a try and see if it really is all that it claims to be. When we received the Snuggie, the first thing we thought was that it was sort of silly looking, however, once we tried it we realized that it was so unbelievably soft and comfortable.

When we compared it to a regular blanket, the Snuggie was much better at keeping you warm and it was much easier to be able to do things such as read a book or use a tv remote with the Snuggie as it did not hinder your arm movement. I

f you want to stay warm as well as still have the comfort to move around and do things, the Snuggie blanket is awesome!

Later this month, Helix Wind Corporation will deliver its first test wind turbines to Eltek Network Solutions Group for installation at two test sites in Nigeria.

"Currently such towers are powered by diesel generators, which are bad for the environment and extremely expensive to operate," said Helix Wind CEO Ian Gardner. "Anywhere the power grid is unreliable, expensive or simply non-existent, wind is an ideal renewable energy resource able to power these towers and reduce their operating cost."

Unlike familiar tri-blade turbines which can only capture wind energy from one direction at a time, the Helix system catches the wind from all directions in its long helical blade scoops. The scoop will start to spin in a slight 8mph breeze and is robust enough to withstand sustained winds of up to 80mph and gusts of up to 125mph without suffering damage. More than 500 people wielding axes and spears turned on each other during an Australian Rules football game at a remote Northern Territory community.

Police claim the fight erupted on the field when an opposing player threw the football at another player who had been awarded a free kick.

"Another player then became involved and the situation deteriorated into a large scale disturbance and the football match was called off," a Northern Territory police spokeswoman said.

"However, the disturbance degenerated when community members allegedly began producing weapons including axes and spears."

While no arrests were made, police have confirmed a full investigation will be carried out to identify those people who were armed with weapons.

Elders in the Gulf of Carpentaria are expected to hold meetings with the community in an attempt to defuse and resolve issues between the families involved.

Hurricane batters tourist islands Nicaragua

Hurricane Ida swept onto Nicaragua's Atlantic coast on Thursday, battering two islands popular with tourists.

Ida dumped as much as 20 inches of rain on the mainland. Corn Island and nearby Little Corn Island, two popular tourist destinations, were hit by gale-force winds, toppling tress and knocking out power.

Boats were also smashed, and 45 homes damaged. More than 3-thousand people were evacuated before the storm hit. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
