It's time to surrender in Afghanistan. Yep, that's right. Surrender.

Let's sign a document of surrender, apologize for our "aggression," withdraw the troops, and let Osama and the Taliban have a ticker-tape parade in the streets of Kabul before they force women back into their burkas, outlaw education for girls, and start executing homosexuals and Christians again.

The assassination of thirteen American troops at Ft. Hood by a Muslim officer in the U.S. Army is the last straw. Despite the overwhelming evidence, our political and military leaders refuse to acknowledge that Maj. Hasan was motivated by militant Islamist ideology.

And Gen. George Casey -- unbelievably -- actually said that if "diversity" in the military were to suffer, it would be an even greater tragedy than the Ft. Hood murders.

The enemy has not defeated us in battle. They can't. But the Ft. Hood assassinations show that we've already surrendered.

What’s Likely to Happen to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan?

clipper's remarks: Perhaps what’s likely to occur, writes the Chron, is a court-martial under Article 2 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, to punish offenses allegedly committed by a man wearing a U.S. military uniform against other military personnel on a military base. The Army’s Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for recommending charges, prompting the military equivalent of a grand jury, known as an Article 32 hearing, where both prosecutors and defense can present evidence.

Those results would be reviewed by the base commander, who would decide whether to convene a court-martial. The 12-person jury would be composed of officers higher in rank than Hasan " lieutenant colonels and above.

The future indeed looks grim for Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the accused Fort Hood gunman, who last week opened fire in a processing center on the base, killing 13. Hasan was injured by gunfire, but remains alive and under heavy guard at Fort Sam Houston. That means, of course, Hasan will presumably be prosecuted for his actions.

But what will the legal proceedings look like for Hasan? The Houston Chronicle attempts to answer the question in a story out Monday.

A key question concerning Hasan’s fate hinges on whether civilian prosecutors conclude he was part of a terrorist plot that might justify moving his case into the federal criminal courts under U.S. anti-terrorism laws. If prosecutors, on the other hand, determine that Hasan acted alone, he could face the death penalty in a military court-martial.

Perhaps the Constitution is a suicide pact after all.

Investigators would have been "crucified" over First Amendment rights if they had launched a full-scale probe into e-mails Fort Hood massacre suspect Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly sent to a radical imam, a government investigator told Fox News.

"Had we launched an investigation of Hasan we'd have been crucified," the investigator said, adding that the communications were shared with the "appropriate chains."

Of course they are right. "Better dead than to offend" after all is practically the motto of the terrorist apologizes on the left and within the government.

Rest assured however there are still some restrictions in place. I mean, imagine if Nadal were Smith and he were email buddies with the leader of the Aryan Nation or the KKK. How fast would our mythical Maj. (or Pvt.) Smith last in the Army?

Their first amendment rights wouldn't even be consider (and rightly so).

Since the Ft Hood atrocity, I've seen a meme going around that it somehow exposed a contradiction between "political correctness" and "security." The avoidance of Nidal Hassan's religion out of fear of offending anyone, goes the argument, created the conditions which allowed him to go undetected and unsanctioned in the months and years leading up to his rampage. American security, therefore, demands dropping the "political correctness" of avoiding a confrontation with Islamist ideas and asking the "tough questions" about Islam as a religion and the loyalty of Muslim-Americans.

This framing of the issue is almost 100% wrong.

An expert on Islamic terrorism believes federal officials bowed to political correctness in their dealings with the Army major who is accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood last week.

The FBI is looking into whether it mishandled early information about Major Nidal Malik Hasan. Nearly a year ago, terrorism investigators conducted an assessment of the Army psychiatrist. At that time, the agency decided that Hasan did not pose a threat.

"It is a sad day when our military, including our FBI [and] our CIA, our military that is supposed to protect us and protect each other...have [come] to such a state where they are willing to close their eyes and indirectly betray each other to the point that blood of our sons and daughters [is] shed...because of political correctness and because of the level of intimidation that is now going through our military," Gabriel contends. "And I think enough is enough, and this is a wake-up call for America."

Via Sheik Yer'Mami, the following article is bound to piss off a heap of those who follow that desert madman called Mo. This brave feminist (unlike the pseudo feminists who applaud the burka) calls things as they are, and is not afraid of confrontation. The last time she was in the international news, she was assaulted by Muslims for protesting against the highly offensive Muslim body bags called burkas and niqabs.

We need more brave politicians like Daniela Santanche to speak the truth and call things as they are and political correctness be damned. Santanche has every right to speak the historical truth and not cover things up due to Muslim sensibilities, and more importantly, Muslim intimidation. On Monday, Chicago Mayor Daley blamed the Ft. Hood Jihad Massacre on America’s love of guns!

“Unfortunately, America loves Guns. We love guns to a point where that uh we see devastation on a daily basis. You don’t blame a group.”

The Mayor is using a straw-man argument that conveniently provides him with an opportunity to politicize the terrorist attack as part and parcel with America’s love of guns.

Mayor Daley, and other politicians, like to blame gun violence on the guns themselves because that is so much easier than admitting any inconvenient (politically incorrect) truths which might be revealed if they were to place blame where it belongs.

Islamists murdering people while shouting Allah Akbar? That’s because of guns, not the Jihad being perpetrated globally against all so called “infidels”.

They blame guns because guns don’t vote.

The potential for mistreatment of Muslim soldiers is such a concern that Casey said he has asked Army leaders “to be on the lookout” for it.

“As great a tragedy as this was, it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well,” he said.

Army psychologist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the suspect in the shooting that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded, is in stable condition after being shot multiple times and is said to be speaking with authorities.

The rising concern about discrimination against Muslim troops as a result is wrenching for Obama, who as president has made it his personal mission to tamp down inflammatory rhetoric and bridge the divide between Muslims and Americans of other faiths.

The White House has been reluctant to characterize the shooting, instead noting repeatedly that it is under investigation.

Agents from the bureau's Washington field office interviewed relatives, neighbors and friends who knew Hasan during his years in the Washington area. Investigators also focused on Guns Galore, a firearms store just down the highway from the mosque. Store owner David Cheadle said federal agents interviewed him about the sale of a FN Herstal Five-Seven pistol that was used in the shootings. "It is a popular choice for personal defense," Cheadle said, pulling one from his case, "but it's expensive" -- more than $1,100 at his store.

The gun, made of lightweight polymer, can handle magazines with 20 or 30 rounds. It is a controversial weapon among gun control advocates because it can penetrate body armor when used with more powerful, but restricted, ammunition employed by law enforcement and the military.

An Army official said the suspect had fired more than 100 rounds before he was felled by two Army civilian police officers, Sgt. Kimberly Munley and Sgt. Mark Todd.

We Need an Ask and Tell Policy Regarding Jihadists in Our Military

When the initial news reports started pouring out of Fort Hood about the mass murder (read terrorist attack) of some of America’s finest, I turned to my wife and daughter and without hesitation said, “I’ll bet you a hundred bucks it was a Muslim.” I was spot on. But shame on me for thinking such a thing, right? (Yeah, those of us who immediately thought that the murderer, given the circumstances, had to be a Muslim, we’re the bad guys.)

Yep, a Religion of Peace adherent, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, as you well know by now, opened fire as he screamed “Allahu Akbar!” on a room full of unarmed soldiers, killing 13 and wounding 30. Unarmed soldiers. Wow. What a wussy. What a “mighty warrior” for Allah, eh? Unarmed soldiers. I say it’s high time to begin carrying on base because, obviously, such d-bags cannot read that military bases are to be gun free zones.

On Thursday afternoon, a radicalized Muslim US Army officer shouting, "Allahu akbar!" ("God is great!") committed the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11. And no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam.

What cowards we are. Political correctness killed those patriotic Americans at Fort Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of nondenominational shoplifting.

This was a terrorist act. When an extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to protest our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it's an act of terror. Period.

All politics deal with power relations, and in the debate over America's alleged climate of "political correctness", there's a stark asymmetry of power between the defiant megaphone-wielders who complain of being constrained by humorless hypersensitivity from below, and the under-represented people of color, women, LGBT, disabled, poor, and otherwise marginalized or dispossessed people who have no choice but to absorb the linguistic, cultural, and physical barbs of the ruling class. The former feel psycho-emotionally oppressed by their inability to crack puerile ethnic jokes without criticism; the latter simply are oppressed.
