Many things can get to it and mother is not nor able to get it back in the nest.

SECOND: GET THE BABY WARM. EITHER BY PUTTING IT IN A BASKET OR SMALL BOX WITH KLEENEX AND PUTTING IT ON A HEATING PAD. Put the basket only on half so the baby can move from side to side and self regulate. When the baby is warm to touch or starts to make noise youhave been successful. UNTIL THEN GIVE NOTHING BY MOUTH. AFTER THIS:

If you think you know where the tree is that the baby fell out of, take a small basket put some kleenex in it and nail it to the tree and WATCH FROM A DISTANCE. a mother will feed more than one nest if the baby cries.

Tags: bird, baby, animal, wildlife, spring, nest egg, pinfeathers

<clipSource>http://www.hoohaven.org/rescuebird.htm</clipSource>
