If marriage equality is taken away in one of the landmark states, we will see domestic terrorism arise very quickly....In 1991, I witnessed gay and lesbian activists setting fire to buildings and beating people with baseball bats in Los Angeles."

<clipSource>http://www.onenewsnow.com/Culture/Default.aspx?id=760780</clipSource>

Palestinians break Israel's wall

clipped by: Yet after ten months of intensive efforts, the achievements appear modest. How much political capital is Obama willing to risk on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Although unusually determined for the USA, the attempt to persuade Israel to freeze its settlement construction in the West Bank – illegal under international law – has failed for the time being. Washington back-pedalled after Israel's rude rebuff, and has since attempted to achieve at least a partial and temporary stop to settlement building.

Yet this is not only a blow to hopes of wresting trust-building steps from the Arab states. The politically weakened Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, who now only speaks on behalf of some two million Palestinians in the West Bank, also insists on a stop to the settlements as a condition for re-opening direct negotiations with Israel.

Tags: israel, palestine

<clipSource>http://en.qantara.de/webcom/show_article.php/_c-476/_nr-1245/i.html</clipSource>

Hillary Clinton: US Wants Israel To Stop Building West Bank Settlements 'Forever'

clipped by: ratilfar
clipper's remarks: But Clinton has had to do a lot of explaining since last Saturday, when she stood with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem and praised his offer to limit settlement construction without halting it.

Clinton has since tried to clarify the remarks, saying that the Israeli offer does not got far enough. Christian Zionist President Harry Truman trusted Jewish Zionist lobbyists when he solicited assurances that they would not become what they immediately became: a racist theocratic state with an expansionist agenda destined to create serial crises in the region.

The merciless global agenda pursued by Colonial Zionists is the single greatest threat to world peace, as confirmed yet again by Lieberman’s warning. This entangled alliance was destined to provoke resentments that would eventually endanger their super power ally and foremost arms provider. That issue also is now called into question in light of the consistency of Israeli behavior over the past six decades. The emerging issues are these: When and how will the recognition of Israel’s nation-state status be withdrawn? How will Tel Aviv behave in the interim?

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman may have tipped his Masada hand when he reportedly told Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan that Israel may use nuclear weapons against Gaza. The threat to Israel is not the 1.5 million Gazans who reside in the world’s largest open-air prison. The threat is the fast-growing global outrage at the abuse inflicted on Palestinians, commencing with the ethnic cleansing of 400-plus villages six decades ago.

Nuclear-Armed Fanatics

Tags: palestine, israeli occupation, palestinians, genocide, apartheid, zionism, war crimes, nuclear, avigdor lieberman, gaza

<clipSource>http://www.davidicke.com/images/stories/October_2009/fascism.jpg</clipSource>

Obama caves to the Zionist Lobby

clipped by: darkeforce
clipper's remarks: He was doing so well, but then he backed down on his insistence that Netanyahu freeze all settlement building in occupied Palestine. Israeli authorities demolished the homes of six Palestinian families – 26 people, including 10 children – in East Jerusalem today. At least 500 more have been affected by partial demolitions of their homes or livelihoods.

“Such actions run counter to international law and have a serious and long-term negative impact on Palestinian families and communities,” OCHA said.

Tags: un, israel, middle east, palestine, illegal occupation, news, politics, genocide, zionism, ocha

<clipSource>http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=32736&Cr=jerusalem&Cr1=</clipSource>

Did you know???????????????

clipped by: mountainpalm
clipper's remarks: It’s common amongst lefty bloggers to rail Israel for what they’re doing, and I don’t think I’ll buck the trend, here. It’s not a discussion of who’s “right” in the fight, it’s fairly well established that both sides are taking hardline stances on what a proper endgame would be, but a matter of who’s doing what.

Clip Source: www.hanlonsrazor.org

Amnesty International: Israel cutting off water to Palestine

In the 112-page report, Amnesty says that on average Palestinian daily water consumption reaches 70 litres a day, compared with 300 litres for the Israelis.

It says that some Palestinians barely get 20 litres a day – the minimum recommended even in humanitarian emergencies.

Amnesty says that Israel denies West Bank Palestinians to dig wells, and has even destroyed cisterns and impounded water tankers.

At the same time, the report claims, Israeli settlers are enjoying swimming pools and green gardens.

In Gaza, Israel refuses access to many of the building materials needed to renovate the ailing water system, the document says.

It adds that Israel uses more than 80% of the water from the Mountain Aquifer – the main source of underground water in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.

<clipSource>http://www.hanlonsrazor.org/2009/10/26/amnesty-international-israel-cutting-off-water-to-palestine/</clipSource>

Working Together for Peace in Israel, Palestine, and USA

clipped by: nedhamson1
clipper's remarks: Working together for a peace today that all can live with and benefits us all is what I support.

Clip Source: btvshalom.org

50,000 Brit

Vice President Dick Cheney described the Muslim world as "brute and nasty." Obama advisers, though more guarded in their word choices, see Muslim nations no differently. The idea that Islam is inherently violent, openly expressed during the Bush administration, continues to animate foreign policy. The White House holds a new President but Congressional leadership and Washington policymakers are more or less the same. Anti-Islamic policies of warfare and destabilization are intact.

Clip Source: mwcnews.net

A conspiratorial view of the world is frequently inaccurate, exposing more the paranoia of the view rather than the reality of the world. The sequential destruction of Muslim nations -- Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, (and Iran is on the list) --- may or may not be a conspiracy hatched in Washington D.C., but it is becoming an international reality. It is no secret that the United States and Europe, with varying degree of mutual cooperation and some make-believe internal discord, superintend the sequential destruction of Muslim nations. This War of Sequential Destruction (WSD), despite Nobel-Laureate Barack Obama's denials, refuses to go away.

Tags: iraq, war, iran, pakistan, obama, bush, cheney, us foreign policy

<clipSource>http://mwcnews.net/content/view/33831/42/</clipSource>
