I guess that’s kind of like how sorting out your bottles and cans from the trash is “saving the world.”

Note to Liberals: There are actual big problems that could use solving, like Iran getting nukes and keeping the Taliban from taking over in Afghanistan. If that’s too big for you, you can help the needy with your own time and money. I know things that don’t result in a bigger government pushing people around don’t tend to interest you, but give it your consideration, please.

Clip Source: www.youtube.com

Tags: olbermann, idiot

<clipSource>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBFyycfcOew&feature=player_embedded</clipSource>

North Korea Says Giving Up Nukes "Unthinkable,"

clipped by: y_qadash
clipper's remarks: "Unless The US does the same"

Clip Source: www.globalsecuritynewswire.org

Giving Up Nukes "Unthinkable," North Korea Says

Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009

North Korea last week suggested again it was not ready to give up its nuclear weapons, just days before the nation's leader said that nuclear talks with five other nations could resume, Bloomberg reported (see GSN, Oct. 5).

A letter sent on Thursday by North Korean Ambassador to the United Nations Sin Son Ho to the U.N. President Obama has reaffirmed a 4-decade-old secret understanding that has allowed Israel to keep a nuclear arsenal without opening it to international inspections, three officials familiar with the understanding said.

The officials, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because they were discussing private conversations, said Mr. Obama pledged to maintain the agreement when he first hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House in May.

Under the understanding, the U.S. has not pressured Israel to disclose its nuclear weapons or to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which could require Israel to give up its estimated several hundred nuclear bombs.

Mr. Cohen has said the resulting policy was the equivalent of "don't ask, don't tell."
