Why is it that some affiliates seem to have it easy and just pick niches and topics that are profitable and others seem to struggle going from pillar to post but never realy quite making it.

There are as far as I can see several reasons for this but I will only look as one reason and that is the use of tools.

When we are just starting out as affiliates, we think we don’t need to invest in tools until after we have at least made some money then we can reinvest our profits. Well that is a good idea and it is true that some people cannot really afford to buy any tools when they start but the reality is affiliate marketing is like any other business. The more you invest, the better your returns.

Agreed there are many free tools keyword and niche finding tools out there including Google’s Keyword Tool and the SEOBOOK.
