Just install the extension, give it your Gmail username and password (it supports both @gmail and Google Apps domains), and hit the Sync Now button to synchronize names, email addresses, phone numbers, IM handles, and more. Zindus does its best to handle any conflicts and walk you through resolutions, but you can also sync the contacts to a separate list if you just want to give it a try. I was not really aware that there’s a need for a donkey sanctuary, but apparently there is. These donkeys are from all over North America, and have been abused or neglected in the past. This farm has taken in 45 animals, and runs on donations. My sister sponsored one of the donkeys, in my children’s names, as a gift to them. They were mailed frequent updates on the goings on at the sanctuary, and our donkey in particular….Hershey. This is him on the right.

I have been wanting to go to this yarn store, and meet the owner, Julie, for a long, long time. I was not disappointed. My eyes seriously bugged out at all of the yarn. I wanted to bury myself in it, and just lie there for a while. It was overwhelming. Here’s my mother-in-law looking through some patterns:

Elizabeth Coe found out after she sent 100 friends and professional acquaintances a link to her company's Web site. She got booted.

Facebook's success also means that it must combat a growing amount of spam, bogus links and hoax messages, some propagated by malicious software that make it look like such messages are coming from friends.

At least 3 killed in Coast Guard helicopter crash

HONOLULU - An official says at least three U.S. Coast Guard crewmembers were killed when their helicopter crashed in waters about five miles south of Honolulu, and another crewmember is missing.

Spokesman Lt. John Titchen says the search continues Friday for the remaining crewmember. He says the Coast Guard release the names or ranks of the dead crewmembers for another day.

The helicopter crashed at 8:15 p.m. Thursday as the crew was conducting search and rescue drills with a 47-foot motor lifeboat.

Recent Study Shows Amount of Spam Received Could Depend on First Letter of E-Mail Address

Those of us with unusual names tend to draw more chuckles and raised eyebrows than our more commonly named counterparts.

But it turns out that there is at least one thing that the Johns and Janes of the world seem to attract more of than we do.

Spam.

A recent study shows that the amount of spam you receive could depend not only how common your first name is but how common the first letter of your e-mail address is.

Richard Clayton, a computer security researcher at the University of Cambridge, analyzed more than 550 million e-mails sent to a large U.K. Internet service provider.

He found that for e-mail addresses starting with heavily used letters like J, M, R and P, 40 percent of the e-mail received was spam

while addresses beginning with

letters, such as Q, X and Z, attracted about 20 percent -- or less -- spam.

How anti-press is the McCain campaign? They just canceled a Habitat for Humanity PHOTO OP. Because it has to do with "houses"? Go figure!

But another part of the reason McCain canceled the outing is because last night, his campaign went out of its way to slag community organizers, defaming them for not having any "actual responsibilities." Habitat For Humanity, as it happens, is one of the biggest brand names in community organizing -- they maintain a massive network of individual donors, are capable of mobilizing an equally impressive volunteer base to contribute labor to the cause, and have a global reach. It's not a bad idea at all to associate one's own brand with Habitat's. But after last night, I have to imagine that McCain would have found it difficult to face the community organizers of Habitat For Humanity.

The Arab General Khalid wrested the city from the Persians.

Centuries later, U.S. Marines and Soldiers fought house to house in the same city. We know it now as Fallujah.

Scarsely two years ago, Al Anbar province was thought to be lost. But just yesterday, control of the province was handed over to the Iraqi government.

This victory will not be splashed across the headlines above the fold. It will be buried under a hurricane, a Vice Presidential nominee and the Republican Convention.

But it is a victory worthy of the ages as the coalition and Iraqi citizens defeated one of the greatest evils of our time.

Like Abraham, Gordian and the others of history who tread the banks of the Euphrates river--they have made their mark.

Million bank details sold on eBay

A computer hard disc containing one million sets of bank details was bought on eBay for just £35.

The secondhand PC contained details of customers from American Express, NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland. The files included names, addresses, sort codes, account numbers, credit card numbers, mobile phone numbers, mothers' maiden names and even scans of signatures - more than enough for an identity thief.

IT manager Andrew Chapman paid £35 for the secondhand machine on eBay. Chapman told The Mail on Sunday: "I couldn't believe it. In front of me was reams of extremely confidential information about thousands and thousands of people."

Although dwarfed by government data giveaways like the loss of 25m child benefit records, the data is potentially far more easily exploited by crooks.

A second computer is believed to be missing from the same site - archiving firm Graphic Data. The company said it was trying to find the second machine. ®
