Speaking from his Los Angeles mansion, a drunk, naked and slurring Mel Gibson was quoted as saying: "You go Popie, see I told I was right about those damn Jews". He then passed out in a pot plant.

Our empathy President is now our theologian-in-chief. He has gone to Cairo like President Kennedy went to Berlin, to make a political point about human solidarity. Kennedy, of course, was expressing solidarity with West Germany shortly after the Soviet backed communist regime in East Germany erected the Berlin Wall. Years later President Reagan went to Berlin to tell the Soviets, “Tear down this wall!” Obama has gone to Cairo with something more like a civis Romanus sum in mind rather than a challenge to a repressive regime. The new Roman order, however, is not led by any one country. It is founded in tolerance and understanding, beginning with tolerance for Muslims and understanding for their way of life. Obama went to Cairo to console, not challenge. Under Obama, the son of a Muslim, we are all Muslims now.

The first step in this remarkable analysis is to blame tensions between the United States and Muslims on colonialism and the Cold War.

07/01/09 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) - This morning 100 Christian houses and churches were set on fire by local Muslims in the city of Kasur South, east of Lahore, Pakistan. The riots were incited by broadcasts from local mosques. This incident is similar to a February 1997 attack when thousands of Christian houses and churches were burned and hundreds of Christians were injured.

ICC partners received the news this morning and went immediately to the scene to help injured Christians transferred to Lahore, renting two mini vans for this purpose. So far 9 burned women and 4 children have been transferred to Lahore for further medical treatment. All of them have been injured by throwing acid on them. Local police have arrived on the scene but the situation is out of control as thousands of Muslims have gathered for this purpose.

Ever since 9-11, Islam has been a topic of debate in many circles.

Leftists, though, in particular have convinced us that to criticize Islam is to be �intolerant.� This has created a culture unwilling to call Islam for what it is.

You are a racist if you condemn Islam.

As soon as you go to criticize Islam, the first response you always get hit with is �you are a racist.� This is not true. Islam is an ideology not a race.

In fact, the biggest victims of Islam are Muslims themselves.

When you point out the verses in the Koran which call for the murder of Christians and Jews, etc., or point out that Muslims are killing people in the name of Allah, the instant response you get is, �Christianity has violent passages too, and people have killed other people in the name of Christianity too.�

All I have to say is: and? If people are using Christianity as a reason to kill innocent people, guess what: they are wrong too. You can�t excuse one evil by pointing to another evil.

President Obama will soon receive a thank-you gift for his speech to the Muslim world in Cairo. Inspired by the address, in which Mr. Obama quoted the Koran, the Council on American-Islamic Relations plans to distribute 100,000 copies of the Koran to national, state and local leaders.

The council’s national executive director, Nihad Awad, said at a news conference in Washington today that the speech, in which Mr. Obama called for the end to mutual suspicion between Americans and Muslims, was “inspiring” and “historic.”

Over the next 10 years, the council plans to distribute one million copies of the text to the American public through its “Share the Quran”campaign.

“This project is pure education,” said Mr. Awad, who said the council was not attempting to proselytize.

“There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground,” he said in his Cairo address

Our Flemish correspondent VH has translated an article from Elsevier about the recent imposition of halal meals on all inmates held in many Dutch prisons. The interesting thing about this story is that a prisoner of Dutch ethnicity is leading the legal battle against the Islamization of the prison system:

In ‘many’ of Dutch prisons there will be only halal food on the menu. Justice has closed advantageous contracts with suppliers that only deliver halal food.

Serving two menus would become too expensive, the newspaper De Telegraaf writes today. Prisoners can get ritually slaughtered cattle or sheep, or nothing. Pork is not on the menu, because it is unclean meat according to Muslims.

Undoubtedly anyone who reads or watches the news KNOWS that if a NON muslim person were to get into any type of physical or verbal altercation with a muslim the media, politicians, police, etc etc would immediately rush to label the person "racist" and condemn the actions as a race hate attack - or an example of (the Myth of) Islamophobia.

Yet - the past has shown that when muslims attack non-muslims and the attack is obviously race motivated- Kuffarophobic (even if it occurs on the same street as the most despicable race hate crime in Scotland - the muslim gang torture and murder of 15 yr. old schoolboy Kriss Donald) - the media, etc are MUM or downplay the FACTS.

Was anyone in the Department of Education even remotely surprised by the virtual failure of the Muslim school in Cabra to achieve even minimal standards of education?

It was effectively established as a madrasah, which would produce good little Muslims. That, I have no doubt, is what it has achieved. To be sure, they might not be well-educated little Muslims, and their career prospects are probably poor. But at least they are Muslims, the production of which was the intended function of the school.

Needless to say, no other country in Europe has allowed the creation of a separate Muslim educational system. That is Ireland's melancholy contribution to the brainless heresy that is multiculturalism.

However, we are not alone in such cultural folly. In his truly wretched speech in Cairo on June 4, Barack Obama created a Muslim world which simply doesn't exist, and never has.

Khatami, Mousavi, and Rafsanjani don’t propose to dismantle the Islamic Republic and replace it with a secular democracy. They’re out to save the Islamic Republic by changing its approach to the world and thus preserve its stature in world affairs. They see what Obama sees: that belligerent bullying ultimately weakens a nation. This doesn’t mean their commitment to Islam (or even Islamism) has weakened, any more than Obama’s willingness to talk with states like Iran means he no longer believes in democracy.

If a plurality of the nation comes to feel that these Khomeinist clerics are good Muslims but bad for Iran, they are finished.

Their only possible hope then will rest with some outside force inserting itself into the fray and giving them a convenient scapegoat, someone like John McCain, who incredibly enough said today that the United States “should lead” the Iranian revolution.
