based on the effect of music on blood pressure regulation

We investigated the effect of music on blood pressure in spontaneously
hypertensive rats (SHR). Previous studies indicated that calcium increases
brain dopamine (DA) synthesis through a calmodulin (CaM)-dependent
system. Increased DA levels reduce blood pressure in SHR. In this study,
we examined the effects of music on this pathway. Systolic blood pressure
in SHR was reduced by exposure to Mozart's music (K.205), and the
effect vanished when this pathway was inhibited. Exposure to music
also significantly increased serum calcium levels and neostriatal DA levels.

<clipSource>http://web.telia.com/~u57011259/Sutoo.htm</clipSource>

Carnegie Mellon

clipped by: Hornsister

Clip Source: music.cmu.edu

Horn: All applicants to the horn studio are expected to prepare and to be ready to perform, upon request, the following items:

With rare clarity, I can also understand why the religious masses shiver at his observations. What Dawkins has made me do is stop looking for answers in the mythical heavens, but within the hearts and aspirations of Man. The true question is surely what is GOOD and what is EVIL?
Good is easy to define; the music of Mozart, the words of Shakespeare and Goethe, the actions of the Red Cross and its’ workers. Evil is that which brainwashes children into beliefs that have no substance, blind obedience to mystical books written by genius writers over two millennia ago, and not allowing children to grow with the human instinct of inquisition. I have no doubt that if we do not challenge the evil amongst us, humanity will fail

Clip Source: www.telegraph.co.uk

Richard Dawkins: Muslim parents 'import creationism' into schools

And how other people can recreate music from memory, such as Mozart’s famed reproduction of Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere after one hearing. What other extraordinary abilities might humans have? I’ve listed nine of the most well understood (i.e. not paranormal or ‘fringe science’) and interesting abilities rated from most common to most interesting and rare. Bear in mind that most of these unusual abilities are genetic and cannot be controlled by the person affected but are an inherent quality of their physical unterstelle, den Sopranistinnen und ihren Zuhörern Unmenschliches ab.

Florence Foster Jenkins (1868--November 26, 1944) was an American soprano who became famous

Clip Source: upload.wikimedia.org

Clip Source: upload.wikimedia.org

Clip Source: en.wikipedia.org

Tags: mozart, zauberflöte, königin der nacht, florence foster jenkins, soprano

<clipSource>http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=qtf2Q4yyuJ0</clipSource>

Le classicisme viennois

clipped by: mdelagarde

Clip Source: mediatheque.cite-musique.fr

Le classicisme viennois

<img src="http://clipmarks.com/image_cache/mdelagarde/512/7E09C595-F91F-495F-8464-E525FB63845B.jpg" alt="N.
