clipper's remarks: okay, i confess i have never heard of this film until earlier this year and while watching it i didnt know what would be in the last scene. but when i saw it, i was literally stunned by its power. i cant remember a scene in the movies, especially that captured such monumental heartbreak, regret and loneliness. what was really devestating was knowing i have played that scene in my life too many times, it is terribly familiar.

It takes a lot these days for a horror movie to scare me, which is so surprising to me because horror movies used to scare the crap out of me when I was younger. I don’t know why I loved horror movies SO much when I was a child, because I had a really hard time sleeping in the dark after the scary movies were over.

Every weekend my two best friends and I would rent one of the Halloweens or Friday the 13th movies, pop some popcorn, turn off the lights, cuddle under a blanket and turn it on. My spot was always in the middle of the girls and everyone HAD to stay awake so I was sure not to be watching such a scary movie alone. Then afterwards, I would be scared for days from these movies that I subjected myself to.

Chuck Russell, he who brought films like The Mask and Eraser to the screen is set to direct a new 3-D version of the classic Arabian Nights story for cinemas.

Variety reports that in a new spin on the classic, the story follows a young commander who, after his king is killed in a palace coup, joins forces with Sinbad, Aladdin and his genie to rescue Scheherazade and her kingdom from dark powers. The budget for the film is set at around $70 million.
“Through the use of a new generation of visual technologies, we will be able to quite literally take audiences around the world on a magic carpet ride,” Russell said to the trade paper.

The flick, set to go before cameras in April 2010, is finaced entirely by Inferno Entertainment.

Milla Jovovich is worried she’ll catch hypothermia on the set of ‘Resident Evil Afterlife’.

The Ukranian born model turned actress told how she’s been feeling the elements while filming scenes for the new film, with sees Milla return as Alice, joined by co-stars Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller, in Canada.

She wrote on her twitter blog: “Wow, just finished a scene with Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller on a skiff approaching the huge ship. To say it’s cold is a joke. A bitter joke.

“Of course Ali and I aren’t wearing much and to make matters worse Wenty is driving the boat himself and crashing it repeatedly!

“Ok, it just started hailing and Wentworth is reading his lines really fast so he can go home! Ali is so cold now, she’s saying she’s feeling warm (classic signs of the final stages of hypothermia)”

Natalie Portman has branded her lesbian sex scene “extreme”.

The 28-year-old actress - who has previously admitted she would consider embarking on a same-sex romance - insists there is nothing sexually compelling about the romp with Mila Kunis in new movie ‘Black Swan’.

The former child star - whose first big-screen role was in ‘Leon’ aged 13 - previously refused to strip-off the camera because she hadn’t worked out her own sexual preferences.

She told America’s V magazine: “Previously I was figuring out my own sexual identity, likes and dislikes and all that stuff, and it’s weird to be doing stuff on film as you’re figuring it out. Also, being a sexual object when you’re a kid is really uncomfortable.”

She said: “”If I have a pimple I want to get rid of it.”

They’re always up for a swanky event, and last night (November 5) Freida Pinto and Dev Patel were spotted at the 18th Annual BAFTA/LA Britannia Awards in Century City, California.

The “Slumdog Millionaire” costars looked lovely as they mingled in the Beefeater 24 VIP Room at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.

As they made their entrance, Dev showed that chivalry isn’t dead by waiting for his lady to finish posing on the red carpet before going inside.

And when asked who she was wearing, Freida proudly announced, “Valentino, because it is fun and flirty,” before giving a twirl to show off her dress.
