On the strength of this method, it is now estimated that Greenland is accountable for a half millimetre-rise in the global sea level per year.

The research was based on data from the German-American GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) satellites, two satellites that have been orbiting the earth behind each other since mid-2002. Deviations in the earth’s gravitational field cause fluctuations in the distance between the satellites, which is measured to a precision of a millionth of a metre. As gravity is directly related to mass, these data can be used to plot changes in the earth’s water balance, such as the disappearance of the ice caps.

Earth & Climate

Global Warming

Climate

Ice Ages

Geography

Oceanography

Floods

<clipSource>http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/09/080930081355.htm</clipSource>

Bluehost : SimpleScripts backup method is broken

clipped by: hostingwebcoupon
clipper's remarks: I kept getting “Internal Server error 500? I bake the bread using the original recipe method, in an oven-proof bowl, with a lid on top. The other day I was in a hurry, so after the initial rise and shaping the dough into a loaf, I plopped it into the cold bowl, and put it in a cold oven (no preheating). Then I turned the oven to 450 degrees, baked the bread for 30 minutes with the lid on and 30 minutes with the lid off. The bread was fantastic. The crust was crispy on the outside, and the inside was delicious.

“The next day I tried this with dough that was refrigerated overnight. No extra rising, I just sprinkled the dough with flour, shaped a quick round loaf, and plopped it in the cold baking dish, and baked it. It was great! This saves me a lot of time, and I don’t have to preheat the oven. Just thought I would pass this on.”

If you don’t, the knife will drag the pesticides/dirt/bacteria from the outside rind into the fruit as you cut. The outside of melons can carry some seriously nasty cooties. (For the record, the family persimmon-ripening method: Place persimmon stem-side down on the kitchen counter, not in direct sun. Leave it there. Pick up once or twice a day to check whether it's getting soft yet. *shrug* It's always worked for us - we've never needed any of the tricks people mention in this post's comments.)

Clip Source: www.boingboing.net

When we moved into our house four or five years ago, I tasted one of the persimmons growing on the tree in our yard. It was a nice orange color, so I assumed it was ripe and ready to eat. I peeled off the skin and took a bite. It was awful, like sticking a spoonful of alum in my mouth. I threw the accursed fruit in the trash.

The next year I read that persimmons tasted better if you soaked them in brine first. "Sleep on your left side," says Anthony A. Starpoli, M.D., a New York City gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine at New York Medical College. Studies have shown that patients who sleep on their left sides are less likely to suffer from acid reflux. The esophagus and stomach connect at an angle. When you sleep on your right, the stomach is higher than the esophagus, allowing food and stomach acid to slide up your throat. When you're on your left, the stomach is lower than the esophagus, so gravity's in your favor.

8. Title: SQL Query Method Enables Cached Administrator Connection
            to be Reused
Date: 12 June 2001
Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 7.0
Impact: Privilege elevation
Bulletin: MS01-032

Issue:
======
When a client connection to a SQL Server is terminated, it remains
cached for a short period of time for performance reasons. One SQL
query method contains a flaw that has the effect of making it
possible for one user's query to reuse a cached connection that
belonged to the sa account.

Tags: ciac l-095 - microsoft sql query method vulnerabil, computer security articles

<clipSource>http://security.fx-vista.com/Windows-Security/File-67-CIAC-L-095-Microsoft-SQL-Query-Method-Vulnerability.php</clipSource>

True Colloidal Silver

clipped by: alexandrina
clipper's remarks: The standard method of making CS at home is to apply about 30v to two silver wires in distilled water

Clip Source: makingmommyhot.com

Have You Ever Heard of Colloids?
