Among the new features, users can now register and download the client software through Nokia Symbian Series 60 mobile browsers. Before broadcasting, users can specify whether to increase video quality or decrease delay. With new two-way text chat, broadcasters can write back messages to the comments area that appears during a broadcast from their mobile device. They can also change title videos during broadcasts and enjoy digital zoom-in and zoom-out.

The nonprofit advocates a free-market approach to health care, and its biggest contributors in 2006 were drug maker Pfizer and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, according to tax filings.

Peter Pitts, the center’s president, said that the campaign was meant to counterbalance what he called the mainstream media’s one-sided reporting on the benefits of government-run systems. The media have yet to show him, he said, “one single example of how the system does not work, not one.”

Shona Robertson-Holmes was a mess. She had crushing headaches, insomnia and adrenaline levels so high that she constantly felt as if she had just stepped in front of a speeding bus. And that’s not to mention her rapidly deteriorating eyesight.

She headed to her family doctor, who recommended that she see two specialists.

But Robertson-Holmes is Canadian, and her state-provided health care gave her a wait time of four months to see a neurologist and six months to see an endocrinologist. Unable to get an expedited appointment, and with her eyesight worsening, Robertson-Holmes called the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and went in for tests and a diagnosis within a week.

The doctors there told her she had a four-to-six-week window to have a marble-sized tumor on her pituitary gland removed before her vision loss would be irreversible.

Returning home with the diagnosis, the Ontario native was still unable to expedite the surgery. Three weeks later, she came back to Mayo for brain surgery.

The Social Media Quadrant: Where Do You Fit?

The quadrant that Liz lays out is not unfamiliar to anyone who has attended business school or perhaps a leadership or team-building training. What's so cool is that Liz grafts this model onto the social networking/ social media scene. In doing so, she raises a number of questions that we may not have thought to ask. And depending on the goals we have, our answers here may predict our success or failure in our future endeavors.

One of the better ways to use Liz's chart is to identify where our customers lie within the quadrant. What values in the quadrant match the values of your current audience. How about your target audience? What do you have to do different in order to cater to each different quadrant?

Or do you want to cater to all quadrants? It may not be worth the time, energy, expense, etc. Perhaps by releasing some of the resources devoted to these customers, you can re-focus them on a more producti

Communists Pose as “Anti-Fascists” to Fool Media

Certain elements of the British media like to quote from the self-described “anti-fascist” or “anti-racist” organisation, Searchlight.

But who is Searchlight exactly? And just how reliable is that organisation as a source of information for the media?

The public record of Searchlight, and its cousin, “Unite Against Fascism” (UAF) answer both these questions:

They are hardcore, unrepentant Communists; and the lies espoused by Searchlight and its Communist co-travellers have cost the media over a MILLION pounds in damages, after they were sued by the people Searchlight had libelled.

Searchlight certainly shouldn’t be consulted by any responsible media outlet on any aspect of politics, history or current affairs.

Virgin Media has sent about 800 letters to customers warning them that they should not be downloading illegal music files via file-sharing sites.

It is part of a 10-week campaign it is running in conjunction with the BPI to "educate" users about downloads.

The BPI, the body which represents the UK record industry, told the BBC that "thousands more letters" would be sent.

Its stricter stance on illegal downloaders might result in some ISPs being taken to court, it told BBC News.

clipper's remarks: Here's a pretty typical tirade by a fundamentalist Creationist that pretty much touches on all the points that Creationists get wrong all the time. About the only point he makes is that he's pretty ignorant about science and adheres to the talking points of the conservative right. My question is how many of these proselytizers will have to be proven wrong before they're eventually shamed into admitting that they've been lied to. The sad part is that many certainly have children who are also subjected to these ignorant views thus the ignorance is allowed to be passed along generational lines.

Disgusted by media's comments of teacher

I am disgusted at the media's derogatory comments against Mount Vernon public school science teacher John Freshwater, who has dared to criticize evolution in class. Do his critics dare to deal with the point of contention in this debate of origins? Of course not. The impolite don't rebut your argument when you show their error, they call you "Fatso."

Why can't the evolutionists handle criticism of their precious little theory? It's as if their taxpayer-subsidized atheism is to be accepted on blind faith, with a mandatory inquisition for all opponents. The recent movie "Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed" reveals how common it is that creationists are persecuted at institutions of higher learning.

They prove well the Scripture in Romans 1: they know the truth, but reject the Creator for the worship of self and nature.

Conspiracy of Silence

This really may be the story of the 21st century, thus far. Not the increasing likelihood that the presumptive presidential nominee of a major political party has engaged in a massive fraud that constitutes the defacto overthrow of our constitutional government, but the media nonchalance in light of it.

We have Jay McKinnon who admits uploading other fraudulent Hawaii birth certificates to Photobucket, with matching graphics DNA, at the same day, hour and minute as the Obama certificate, and nobody asks any questions ( Israeli Insider aside)? My God, even Putin has been forced to murder or jail media voices impertinent enough to question his goings-on in Russia's crumbling democracy, Matt Drudge, who will headline crap like Sex in Space 'Is Inevitable'... has avoided it.. I've found precious few bloggers who show interest either. One of the few exceptions is Atlas Shrugged, who went pro-active and found herself an expert. Snippets follow:

There are so many websites out their that serve the same purpose as Digg, Twitter, or Pownce. The question is; which of these websites are actually worth your time? Of course the biggest sites are your most valuable assets, but there are a few smaller sites that could be useful to you. Since time is one of the most valuable resources that us humans try to utilize, I’ll explain some of the social media sites that I use and why. Keep in mind that my views, are my views, and merely suggestions. If I leave out some social media site that you use, it just means that I don’t use it, and has nothing to do with how great that particular site may be.

This week, the media continued to bend over backwards to repeat whatever narrative McCain wants them to. He even refurnished his airplane with a VIP section for the most obedient reporters.

Top McCain aide Mark Salter said "‘only the good reporters’ would get to sit in the specially-configured section for interviews. ‘You’ll have to earn it,’ he said." So how can these reporters "earn" a seat? Never challenge the Senator

The BPI wants all UK ISPs to sign up to a so-called three strikes policy - where users of file sharing networks get two warnings and are then disconnected if they are sharing copyright files.
So far only Virgin Media has officially signed up and it is keen to stress that currently it is running an education-only campaign and that no-one has been thrown off the network.

The more the presidential campaign unfolds, the more it resembles a Twilight Zone episode in which reality has no meaning at all.

For over a year, Barack Obama’s position on Iraq has been entirely consistent — a flexible withdrawal timeline, over 16 months, with one to two brigades a month. He would consult with commanders on the ground about how best to execute this policy, and would consider conditions on the ground, but Obama is committed to a withdrawal policy. He’s said this over and over again.

In fact, conditions-based flexibility has always been a hallmark of Obama’s policy. Asked earlier this year if he’d refine the timeline based on events on the ground, Obama said he would. Asked if he’d guarantee that all the troops would be out of Iraq, no matter, what 2013, Obama demurred.

So, yesterday, when Obama repeated the exact same policy he’s emphasized for over a year, the McCain campaign and the national political media
