"Den viktigaste frågan jag vill ta upp är hur man ska kunna nå så många privatpersoner som möjligt", skriver Ylva Yngvesson i en kommentar.

Gruppens syfte är att stödja medlemsstaterna inom området för finansiell utbildning. Första mötet hålls i Bryssel på tisdagen.

Ylva Yngvesson, chef för Institutet för privatekonomi på Swedbank, blir Sveriges enda representant i EU-kommissionens expertgrupp för finansiell utbildning. I gruppen ingår 25 personer från 16 olika länder.

Jag såg den här roliga bilder där man har tagit Simpsons familjen och mangafierat dem på revoltmedia’s blogg och gillar den skarpt. Hade Simpsons varit en Anime eller Manga hade jag garanterat sett även den, jag Älskar Simpsons. Ni kan kolla in några fler av “spacecoyote’s” bilder på hennes deviantart, det finns många och helt fantastiska bilder på hennes profil, jag är helt tagen, fantasiska bilder.

Uniteds nya tröjsponsor?

Efter den amerikanska försäkringsjätten AIG:s fall skulle man kunna säga att Manchester United har fått en ny huvudsponsor.

AIG:s sponsoravtal med Manchester United har varit den största tröjsponsringen i Premier League.

När försäkringsjätten häromdagen räddades av den amerikanska Federal Reserve blev centralbanken ny huvudägare i bolaget.

Affärsvärlden undrar liksom Financial Times om Manchester Uniteds tröja kommer att se ut så här framöver:

Några "hot-spots" i området är Kollwitzplatz, Kastanienallee och de gamla bryggerierna Pfefferberg och Kulturbrauerei som numera hyser kultur- och nöjeslokaler. I västra delen av Prenzlauer Berg ligger Mauerpark, idag en park efter att Berlinmuren rivits. En av Europas största gay-scener finns i Berlin, inte minst i området runt Schönhauser Allee, en av Prenzlauer Bergs större gator. Området runt och kring S-Bahnhof Schönhauser Allee rymmer ett 20-tal gaybarer och restauranger.

Japanese comic industry profits from political crisis

Tokyo - Producers of Japan's manga comic books are rejoicing over the political hubbub after the surprise resignation of Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, a Japanese business daily said Wednesday. Shares of animation companies shot up since former foreign minister Taro Aso, an avid fan of manga, is touted as the most likely candidate to succeed Fukuda at the helm of the Liberal Democratic Party and as prime minister.

Nikkei, Japan's leading business daily said that shares of Broccoli, a company selling animation products rose 21 per cent to 70 yen (0.65 dollars) Tuesday after Aso announced his candidature.

They are definitely not "ducks", nor do they have any relation to "geo"-logy. In fact, they seem alien enough to be "from Mars" and, for all I know, possess a malign intelligence.

They are found mostly around Pacific Coast of the US and Canada, and in Japan they seem to serve as inspiration for "manga" of certain tentacled variety. A good info page is definitely in order to get the facts straight, but nothing can prepare you for the shock of seeing them for the first time:

Modern biologists easily classify it as large saltwater clam, a bivalve mollusk with a huge "neck", or a "siphon". How huge, you'll ask? Up to two meters in length.
