Regular Brasscheck TV viewers know that throughout its second term, the Bush administration actively interfered with states that attempted to enforce their own state lending laws.

Bush & Co. used the Office of the Controller of the Currency to sue states like New York to stop them from going after predatory lenders.

Bush Jr. is not the first Bush to get "hands on" involved in shaping the lending industry to his will.

Many know that one of this brothers, Neil, was part of a spectacular Savings & Loan failure in the 1980s.

What far fewer people are aware of is how deeply the CIA, organized crime and, George Bush Sr. were involved in the Savings & Loan disaster which caused US taxpayers and estimated trillion dollars plus.

The Bush family and its associates in organized crime and the CIA have figured out how to run this scam on a multi-hundred billion dollar level using the entire US banking system as its playground.

Well, Russians are already here. They are riding among us, using our car plates with the secret Russian words embedded into them. The one above starts this series of Russian American Car Plates. It says “I’am first b*tches!”, this slangy phrase came from commenting habits to real life. So we put him first.

“Zakon” - “The Law”. Looks like he works in some penitentiary organization - look at that fence on the background.

“SOTONA” - “The Satan”. He is an atheist!

“Sam Ham” - “You are rude yourself!” Probably is helpful after a bad maneuver on the road.

“Pizdets” this one is a rude word, meaning something like “All is f*cked up!”.

“Babnik” - “Lover-boy”. He lets know all the ladies who he is.

“NEHUEVO” - Another rude phrase. Something like “No so f*cking bad”. Probably he means that riding this brand new Range Rover is not so bad. Russian mafia!?

“Tormoza” - “Brakes”. Often is used as a rude word for the “slow-thinking”

Back to school, kids, if you can scrape up the tuition. By some estimates as many as 200,000 college students may not find anyone willing to lend them money for school this year.

When students get loans this year, they will pay more for them. In at least some cases students are looking at rates of 23 percent. With those numbers a young person might be better off borrowing from the mafia.

Cashing in on the kids is no small business. Last year it amounted to more than $17 billion. The interest on that is a lot of cabbage for private, government-subsidized loan companies, which explains why some college loan officers have taken bribes to steer students to favored lenders.

Like the oil industry, the coal industry, the hospital industry and the drug industry, Washington is crawling with higher education industry lobbyists. They have the same interest in meeting student needs as the nursing home industry has in serving its patients.

The generals refused. At the time, their stubborn support for the outlaw Yamadaev Brothers seemed baffling - a quiet Chechnya was a longstanding Russian goal. Why?

Two reasons: First, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin wants the Georgians to suffer - to really suffer. And Chechens are the world's subject-matter experts in atrocities.

Second, this gives the Russian army itself a veil of deniability: When Putin's spokesmen insist that the Russian military isn't involved in the worst savagery in Georgia, they're technically telling the truth (if we don't count air attacks and artillery bombardments), since the Chechen thugs on their payroll are on the job.

Amid photos of the horrors of war, grateful South Ossetians and triumphant Russian troops, one series leapt out at me as a former intel officer: Bearded irregulars riding atop Russian-built armored vehicles (old BMPs, for the military-hardware buffs). The vehicles had been splashed with white lettering.

What did the scrawls announce to the world? These thugs proudly proclaimed that they're Chechens serving in the Vostok ("East") Battalion commanded by Badrudin Yamadaev - who shares a reputation for gangland violence with his brother, Ruslan

Last spring, mercenaries from the Vostok Battalion indulged in a bloody gangland shoot-'em-up in the city of Gudermes, near their home turf. The mafia-on-steroids brutality was too much even for the Chechens (which is quite a standard).

Russia Conducts Cyber-Attack On Georgian Government Websites

clipper's remarks: Last April the computer systems of the Estonian Government came under attack in a co-ordinated three-week assault widely credited to state-sponsored Russian hackers. The wave of attacks came after a row erupted over the removal of the Bronze Soldier Soviet war memorial in Tallinn, the Estonian capital. The websites of government departments, political parties, banks and newspapers were all targeted.

Analysts have immediately accused the Russian Business Network (RBN), a network of criminal hackers with close links to the Russian mafia and government, of the Georgian attacks.

Jart Armin, a researcher who runs a website tracking the activity of the RBN, has released data claiming to show that visits to Georgian sites had been re-routed through servers in Russia and Turkey, where the traffic was blocked. Armin said the servers "are well known to be under the control of RBN and influenced by the Russian Government."

Several Georgian state computer servers have been under external control since shortly before Russia's armed intervention into the state commenced on Friday, leaving its online presence in dissaray.

While the official website of Mikheil Saakashvili, the Georgian President, has become available again, the central government site, as well as the homepages for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence , remain down. Some commercial websites have also been hijacked.

The Georgian Government said that the disruption was caused by attacks carried out by Russia as part of the ongoing conflict between the two states over the Georgian province of South Ossetia.

In a statement released via a replacement website built on Google's blog-hosting service, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "A cyber warfare campaign by Russia is seriously disrupting many Georgian websites, including that of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Our rulers cannot legally take home personally more than a minor share (in salary and perks) of the income they steal from us through taxation. But they "profit" from taxes nevertheless by using billions and billions of dollars to buy votes from various political constituencies in order to perpetuate their political careers. Then, in many cases, after spending years in Congress giving away our hard-earned dollars to various undeserving individuals and groups, they retire to earn large salaries from those very groups or to become lobbyists for the groups and use their political connections to keep this carnival of theft and plunder going. That is how our rulers profit personally from tax revenue.

Our rulers in Washington are not quite in the Stalin/Hitler/Mao category, but they nevertheless embrace with all their being the pretense of knowledge. And whenever they act on this pretense, the results are typically disastrous. Recently, our rulers have announced that they possess unique knowledge – perhaps given to them, and them alone, by God – of what the "proper" amount of profit is in an industry. Any industry that, over the course of the business cycle, earns more than that amount deserves to be punished, or so they say.

If the windfall profits tax is enacted once again it will be harmful to the long-term production capacity of the industry, which will cause gas prices to then become higher yet. At that point our rulers will likely start calling for price controls, an even more disastrous and pretentious policy. Not to mention the fact that a windfall profits tax is also a pure act of legalized theft, plain and simple, no different than a Mafia shakedown.

$250 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Scientology

Tom Cruise is named in a $250 million federal lawsuit that is using the RICO statute against the Church of Scientology, the New York Daily News reports.

Ex-Scientologist Peter Letterese, a longtime critic of the church, filed suit in Southern District Court in Florida on July 15 alleging, among other things, that members of the church harassed him after he left.

Letterese calls the church a "crime syndicate" and wants it broken up under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization law, just as the feds have broken up Mafia families.

He singles out Cruise, saying that Scientology head David Miscavage is "aided and abetted by the actions of Tom Cruise, his right-hand man for foreign and domestic promotion, as well as for foreign and domestic lobbying. He has assisted the syndicate in acquiring funds and [made] his own donations of money believed to be in the multiple tens of millions of dollars."

Corleone Mayor Antonino Iannazzo was neutral, describing the couple as "two private citizens" who followed the rules to publicly marry and who should be respected.
