How To Online SEO and Internal Linking

First off, my mentor Alex Jeffreys always says to provide extra value in the form of good content…so here we go.

The first thing I did was to change the “privacy” setting to prevent the site from being crawled by the search bots until I have added some content in the form of original posts. We will turn this back on after we have some content in place. Here is how to get there:

At a minimum, you have to have a Contact Page, an About Page, a Privacy Policy Page, and a Site Map Page. The site map page is created with a free plugin, Google XML Sitepmaps.

I tie these all together for easy navigation in a “catergory” that I title “Website Information”. Although these are titled as “pages”, I publish these as “posts” for a very specific reason. I want to use my “pages” for promotional information in the future, and the “posts” will always be used for publishing content and articles (the journal function and aspect of a blog).

Go to the video you are linking to and pause it at the point you want it to start when you link to it. Hover the cursor over the round time marker on the red bar at the bottom of the video. The time should appear above it.

Add #t=[number minutes]m[number seconds]s to the end of the URL in the browser bar, ensuring it follows directly after the video code. If it says "&feature=related" or "&feature=popular" right after the code, just erase that.

Your URL should now look like this: youtube.com/watch?v=a1b2c3d4#t=1m15s (This example would link to 1 minute and 15 seconds.)

Copy and paste the URL so the people who click on it will start watching it right at that time!

The rationale behind torture is that pain will make the guilty confess, but a new study by researchers at Harvard University finds that the pain of torture can make even the innocent seem guilty.

Participants in the study met a woman suspected of cheating to win money. The woman was then "tortured" by having her hand immersed in ice water while study participants listened to the session over an intercom. She never confessed to anything, but the more she suffered during the torture, the guiltier she was perceived to be.

"Those who feel complicit with the torture have a need to justify the torture, and so link the victim's pain to blame," says Gray. "On the other hand, those distant from torture have no need to justify it and so can sympathize with the suffering of the victim, linking pain to innocence."

"Those who initially advocate torture see those harmed as guilty, unlike those who initially reject torture and its methods."

There is website design software that allows users to drag and drop WYSIWIG elements while the coding it done automatically in the background. Or, you can hire a web designer to design your site for you.

But once in a while you need to know just a wee little bit of html code, particularly in the area of using html to create links...
