TunesArt è un’applicazione gratuita per Mac Os (simile a Bowtie) per il controllo rapido della propria libreria musicale di iTunes e di Last.fm dotato di una grafica accattivante.

TunesArt permette di visualizzare le anteprime degli album attraverso una miniatura posizionata sul desktop e tutte le informazioni (nome dell’album, traccia, artista…) relative al brano in ascolto su iTunes.

Dal menu delle preferenze tra le tante cose è possibile modificare l’aspetto della miniatura con quattro stili (CoverArt) decisamente eleganti e belli da vedere: in stile vinile, 3D, 2D o CD case.

Inoltre permette di votare i brani, scaricare testi e di controllare i brani (Play/Pause Next/Prev) direttamente dal desktop senza mai aprire la finestra di iTunes.

TunesArt utilizza Growl per le notifiche.

Jullien is originally form Nantes but now lives and works in London, where he is currently studying at the Royal College of Art. He has worked with clients such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Print Magazine, Threadless, Last.fm, and The Big Chill.

For his Analogue show, Knock Knock, Jullien is apparently reinterpreting the horror genre, with help from creepy sounds from the musician, Niwouinwouin.

Featured here is a selection of illustrative work from his website, jeanjullien.com – including a brand new series of five folded paper characters, Family, shown above – while the two photographs (shown bottom) are from his recent show in September at La Galerie des Arts Graphiques, Paris.

SMS + Контакт = Расположить СМС в виде чата

GPS + Журнал вызовов = Показать откуда делался вызов, (сомнительно, но для алиби может пригодиться)

Заметки + Контакт = мобильная CRM, оставлять любые заметки о человеке, от пожелания на ДР заканчивая тем, что должен 100 баксов (в любом количестве и сохраняя прошлые)

Контакт + Напоминалки = напоминание позвонить, позвонить и назначить встречу, приехать к контакту домой, отправить смс. Или же показывать напоминание при входящем, при входящей смс от контакта

Напоминалки + GPS = напоминать что надо сделать, когда телефон будет в заданном месте

Интернет + Контакт = агрегация типа friendfeed, rss с домашней странички

Bluetooth + Контакт = Ассоциировать контакт и bluetooth адрес, хранить историю передач, ( а ещё лучше единым чатом с смс, логированием звонков, передач, rss, др.)

SMS + GPS = Отправить смс по прибытии в заданный район. «Сына, отправь смс как доберешься»

Интернет + Музыка = last.fm

At the basic level, students can "drag and drop" research papers into the site at mendeley.com, which automatically extracts data, keywords, cited references, etc, thereby creating a searchable database and saving countless hours of work. That in itself is great, but now the Last.fm bit kicks in, enabling users to collaborate with researchers around the world, whose existence they might not know about until Mendeley's algorithms find, say, that they are the most-read person in Japan in their niche specialism. You can recommend other people's papers and see how many people are reading yours, which you can't do in Nature and Science. Mendeley says that instead of waiting for papers to be published after a lengthy procedure of acquiring citations, they could move to a regime of "real-time" citations, thereby greatly reducing the time taken for research to be applied in the real world and actually boost economic growth. The music radio site Last.fm is one of the great ideas from the UK during the first dotcom boom. Users can listen to their own songs and other tracks recommended by Last.fm's algorithms based on their tastes, including iTunes, and those of friends. It could easily have been a one-trick pony. But now a few academics have applied its serendipity to scientific research. Why can't researchers, instead of waiting anywhere up to three years for their papers to jump all the hurdles, be part of a real-time market place – a fusion of iTunes and Last.fm for science? They pitched the idea, among others, to two of Last.fm's investors: Spencer Hyman and Stefan Glaenzer, newly enriched by the sale of Last.fm to CBS. They bought into the idea of using the site's principles to aggregate users' data (anonymously) while building up a databank of articles. Now the show is on the road and expanding fast. It is free, but a premium version will be added soon.

CBS to Launch Last.fm HD Radio Stations in Top 4 U.S. Markets

CBS is set to roll out over-the-air HD radio channels in the nation’s top four markets powered by the crowdsourced programming of Last.fm — apparently the first time a streaming site has morphed into a commercial radio station.

CBS purchased interactive streaming site Last.fm a couple of years go for $280 million with the goal of integrating it across its CBS Radio properties. Starting Oct. 5 it makes good on the initiative with the launch of an over-the-air Last.fm HD Radio channel in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.

It’s an interesting notion, to create one centralized station consisting of the top-rated and most popular stuff on Last.fm, because the whole idea behind web radio is that you don’t have to listen to what everyone else is listening to. On the other hand, Last.fm’s charts will surely do a better job of finding interesting music than the robots in charge of other radio stations will ever find.
