Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, who hast made of one blood all nations and hast promised that many shall come from the East and sit down with Abraham in thy kingdom: We pray for thy prodigal children in Muslim lands who are still afar off, that they may be brought nigh by the blood of Christ. Look upon them in pity, because they are ignorant of thy truth.

Take away pride of intellect and blindness of heart, and reveal to them the surpassing beauty and power of thy Son Jesus Christ. Convince them of their sin in rejecting the atonement of the only Savior. Give moral courage to those who love thee, that they may boldy confess thy name.

Hasten the day of religious freedom in Turkey, Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Africa.

Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son in the Muslim world, and fulfill through him the prayer of Abraham thy friend, “O, that Ishmael might live before thee.” For Jesus’ sake. Amen.²

Big Idea: God offers us total forgiveness of our sin so that we can learn to walk in the light with him.

Introduction: The main focus of the Christian life is not about getting your sins forgiven so that you can go to heaven.

You must come to grips with your sin.

You can rely on God to cleanse you.

Forgiveness brings people together.

Conclusion: The problem of sin has been solved by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ—not only the sins of your past, but the sins of your future as well.

'Jesus appears in pick-up truck window'

A US man claims the face of Jesus appears every morning in the condensation on the side window of his pick-up truck.

Jim Stevens, of Jonesbororugh, Tennessee, says the face has appeared nearly every morning for the last two weeks.

It disappears when the condensation evaporates - but returns the following morning, he told the Johnson City Press.

Even rolling the window up and down has not stopped the image from reappearing.

Mr Stevens admits he's not a particularly religious person, but says he has been awed by the experience.

He said he had not done anything to or had anything in the Isuzu truck to explain the sudden appearance of the image.

"Of course, I'm not going to wash it," he said. "Why it happened to me, I don't know. I have no idea."

Antonio Peck was in kindergarten in 1999 when his family filed suit against the Baldwinsville, N.Y., school district. Antonio is in 10th grade now — and his family is still waiting for the case to be resolved. At this rate, he’ll be a college graduate when the courts finally render a decision.

On Oct. 15, the Peck family’s legal marathon took another turn when a federal appeals court heard oral arguments in Peck v. Baldwinsville School District for an astounding third time in 10 years. In the unfortunate history of lawsuits over religion in schools, the Peck case ranks as one of the most wasteful, divisive and unnecessary of all time.

At the heart of the dispute is a poster created by kindergartener Antonio to fulfill an assignment designed to show what he had learned about protecting the environment. Antonio depicted people picking up trash and recycling, but he also included a figure of a kneeling man that Antonio meant to be Jesus.

Man says image of Jesus appears on truck window

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Jim Stevens said he's not particularly religious and is clueless about why an image resembling Jesus Christ keeps appearing on his pickup. Stevens, of Jonesborough, said nearly every morning, an image that looks to him like the face of Jesus Christ has appeared in the condensation on the driver's side window of his Isuzu truck. A Johnson City Press photo of the truck showed a facial image.

Stevens said when he first saw the image, he figured it would evaporate and not return. But it kept reappearing for two weeks now.

Stevens said folks at the grocery store he goes to were amazed to see the image.

I love the smell of chutzpah in the morning. It smells like a moldy Malcolm Forbes.

After hearing that his company paid a $29.5 million settlement for forcing workers to work off the clock, a Lowes employee found this sign hanging in his store's break room. That, my friends, is the kind of righteous arrogance that's made our beloved corporate board rooms the most powerful forces in politics today.
