After every few dashes across Court 14, Kelly Bruno reached down to her right leg and flicked at something. It was a gesture so slight and so fleeting, she could have been swatting away a bug. It was also the only thing she did that was not in the protocol for a United States Open ball girl — nowhere does it mention popping the pressure valve on a prosthetic leg.

Bruno was born with several defects in her left leg and has been an amputee since she was 6 months old. By 18, she had turned herself into a track star among disabled athletes, with her own sponsorship deals. And as a world-class triathlete and Ironman competitor, she has raced in some of the most grueling events on the planet.

Now, at age 24, Bruno has scaled back her training for three weeks to shuttle back and forth across courts at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to scoop up balls at the net. In a job done correctly only by those who are barely noticed, Bruno has stood out by blending in.

Robert Downey Jr. is Looking Better Than Ever as Tony Stark

I am an 80's kid, so obviously I'm a fan of Robert Downey Jr. If you grew up in the 80's you couldn't help, but like the guy. He played cocky and edgy roles in teen movies for the greater part of a decade. Unfortunately drugs got the best of him for a while, but now he is kicking butt again. His performance as Tony Stark in "Iron Man" is simply brilliant!

[Robert Downey Jr makes this movie. He is super cocky and cool, NOT modest like other super heroes. I was blown away by how clever this movie was put together. You guys have to see this!]

Body armor for the case?
I wanted this case to incorporate aspects of several types of Iron Man armor, starting with his original dull gray steel. Although rivets were not always in evidence, these would add to the effect of heavy plate on the panels. Starting with the case itself, I anchored short lengths of aluminum angle (L brackets) to the top and front edges of the chassis. These were used as anchor points to attach two curved steel panels at the bottom front and top rear of the case. To strengthen the sheet metal, I riveted ribs of aluminum bar stock to the outer edges using two rows of heavy nickel wire for the pins.

To create a layered articulated armor on the top, sections of PVC plastic were cut and then anchored to the aluminum angle with sheet metal screws. A final PVC panel was attached to the front and a piece of foam rubber trimmed to fill the gap between the sections. The foam was trimmed to a smooth shape with a razor blade, and then covered with a layer of epoxy

Ironman Javier tracking Nutrition with TrainingPeaks to lose weight

So for the case of workouts and losing weight, there is only one way I have been able to really feel like I get into it and that is by tracking it. However I need the right tools for feedback, that is Training peaks.

I just happen to like the way I can enter what I have eaten, it has the nutritional information at hand (that either I have put in myself earlier or is in a database). after entering the workouts and the days meals, is it gives me a complete breakdown of my daily nutrition intake and any calorie surpluss or deficit. Which then allows me to adjust the next day if need be. It takes the burning of 3500 calories to burn 1 lb of fat. As such this comes out to 500 calories a day in order to lose 1 lb a week. Or 1000 cal a day to lose 2 lbs.
