Murderer to be turned into fish food

A convicted murderer on death row will have his body turned into fish food and fed to goldfish, all for the sake of art.

Gene Hathorn, 47, who was convicted of killing his father, stepmother and stepbrother in 1985, has given his consent to artist Marco Evaristti to use his body as an "art installation" in part of a wider project on capital punishment.

Should Hathorn's final appeal fail, Mr Evaristti would deep-freeze Hathorn's body and then turn it into fish food which visitors at the exhibition could feed to goldfish.

Mr Evaristti, a Chilean-born artist living in Denmark, hopes to begin work within a year if Hathorn is refused an appeal for the third time.

The pair met when Mr Evaristti was researching the longest serving inmates on Texas' infamous death row.

He first visited Hathorn in April this year and when he first suggest the idea to Hathorn, he apparently agreed immediately.

I use a combination of heat guns, soldering irons and different cutting utensils to make these PETs. I wanted to work with glass but this is more fun. I have as much material as I want just by fishing in the garbage.

Microsoft offers a "taskbar" mode to Windows Media Player (WMP), which sometimes creates problems during WhiteCap installation (the WhiteCap installer displays an error message, but problems can arise if you opt to "ignore" this warning). Fixing this is difficult, since the WMP Taskbar runs in the background whether or not you are using WMP, but try the following steps:

Restart your computer.
With all applications closed, right-click on the middle of your Windows Task Bar (also known as the "Start Bar").
From the right-click menu, select the "Toolbars" menu and ensure that there is NO checkmark next to Windows Media Player.
Re-install WhiteCap.
If this does not work, search your hard drive for a file named WhiteCap_WMP.dll and then delete (or rename) that file prior to re-installing WhiteCap.

Step 1 - Partition the Drive:

-right-click computer under the start menu and choose "manage"

-The amount you shrink the partition is the amount of space used for the XP partition, so i would suggest making it at least 3-

4GB in size, as a full XP installation will take 1.5GB on it's own.

-now right-click the unallocated memory and select new basic partition.

-click next on the rest of the screens and finish.

once the formatting is finished you will have something like this:

*this new partition is where your XP installation will go, so take note of it's location, in case there are multiple partitions

on the drive (there will now be atleast 2).

Accelerator Providers work with selected text on a webpage to perform different tasks such as looking up word definitions or get directions on a map to a street address. If you are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft’s services go ahead and select that option. For this installation I am selecting the option to see even more Accelerator option. There is an option to disable the Accelerator providers, but come on test things out! I am very excited about these new built in features.

SmartScreen Filter

Because I want to try out everything in this beta including the enhanced security features I am going to turn it on. This feature will protect you from phishing attempts and other scams.

Taking A Look At New Features.

One of the cool things about this Beta is the amount of features already installed without having to download Add-ons.

IE 8 comes with a Smart Address Bar which tries to guess what site you want to visit based on past history.

Apple’s complaint against Psystar also notes that Apple has never authorized Psystar to install, use or sell the Mac OS software on any non-Apple-labeled hardware. That’s the part that has Pedraza fighting back. As for the authorization to sell Mac clones cheaper, Psystar acknowledges that Apple makes a good operating system and Psystar wants to bring it to the masses. But, no one should have to pay “exorbitant” prices for it.

Apple’s end-user licensing agreement (EULA) is clear on prohibiting the installation of Mac OS X on a non-Apple machine. Psystar attorney Colby Springer says that amounts to “restraint of trade,” one of the allegations that he wants a court to chime in on. As part of its countersuit, Psystar is asking the court to void the licensing agreement.
