Senator Biden is a long serving member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and serves as chair in the 110th Congress. He is considered one of the Democratic Party's leading voices on foreign policy.

For the last Congressional term, Citizens for Global Solutions gave Senator Biden an A+ rating on his foreign policy positions.

And his assignment on the Senate Judiciary Committee has given him experience on immigration, citizenship, and international narcotics regulation.

The Department of Homeland Security should not use the user-generated Wikipedia to decide whether an asylum seeker can enter the United States, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.

That judicial statement of the obvious (.pdf) from the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a ruling by the Board of Immigration Appeals, which said DHS committed no big foul in using a site editable by anyone with a computer to decide the fate of a woman named Lamilem Badasa.

DHS decided to deport Badasa after consulting Wikipedia to decide whether a Ethiopian travel document known as a laissez-passer was adequate to prove her identity.

Using the Wikipedia page as evidence, the government convinced an immigration judge that the document did not prove her identity, calling it a one-way travel document based on information provided by the applicant.

An analysis of new census figures has shown that Australia is suffering from an unprecedented "man drought".

The statistics have revealed that there are almost 100,000 more females than males in Australia.

The problem is worse in the coastal cities, where women have moved seeking better jobs and lifestyles, while many men have gone overseas.

Thirty years ago Australia was with flush with men thanks to immigration policies that favoured males.

That position has been reversed because thousands of Australian men in their 20s and early 30s have gone overseas either to travel or to work.

It has caused a gender imbalance that is having far-reaching implications.

Major cities in Australia now have concentrated groups of unattached women, along with dwindling numbers of the opposite sex.

Demographers have compiled a so-called "Love Map" that shows how the various clusters of unattached men and women are distributed across the Australian continent.

clipper's remarks: He could have joined the bipartisan “Gang of 14” that negotiated a halt to divisive judicial nominations, but didn't. He could have been a leader for bipartisan compromises on immigration, terrorist surveillance and energy, but wasn't.

According to a Washington Post database, Obama votes with his party 96 percent of the time, which makes him tied for the eleventh most partisan member of the Senate. At 96.6 percent, his running mate Joe Biden is the eighth most partisan senator.

In his next political act, he dispensed with centrism and the great middle ground of American politics and espoused the politics of “change” — change in pastors, change in churches and calculated changes in his positions on NAFTA, gun control and much else.

But all those convention antics pale in comparison to the change in the man who, four years ago, briefly fired the imaginations of Americans tired of the extremes of partisan politics. That Obama has left and gone away, if he ever really existed.

Like many Americans, the first time I heard Barack Obama speak was at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.

“Wow,” I thought after hearing his message in Boston. This is a guy who really gets it.

He talked about the true genius of America being its citizens' “faith in simple dreams” and “insistence on small miracles.”

Four years later, those words have a melancholy ring.

There was nothing about Obama's past that suggested the young lawmaker from Illinois should be the agent of American post-partisanship. Not the bare knuckle politics of Chicago's South Side from which he emerged. And not his hyper-partisan, liberal voting record in the Illinois Legislature.

And when Obama went to Washington in 2005, he had his chance to do more than just talk about consensus, bipartisanship and a new brand of politics.

But just as in Springfield, Obama proved to be nothing more than a shrewd and opportunistic partisan.

Jason Mattera from Young America's Foundation is in Denver this week and posting video from the streets of Denver.

Yesterday he put on his orange jumpsuit to petition DNC protesters in support of Netflix and MSNBC (and Jihad Olympics!) for the poor, deprived Gitmo detainees. The part in the Amnesty International travelling Gitmo cell was terrific.

Had the 2004 nominee shown such fight during his own race, he might have been in Denver at the Democratic National Convention seeking renomination for another four years in the White House.

"John McCain voted with George Bush 90 percent of the time. Ninety percent of George Bush is just more than we can take," Kerry said, in the first of a volley of attacks which stirred up the Democratic convention crowd.

"To those who still believe in the myth of a maverick instead of the reality of a politician, I say, let's compare Senator McCain to candidate McCain," Kerry said.

"Candidate McCain now supports the wartime tax cuts that Senator McCain once denounced as immoral.

"Candidate McCain criticizes Senator McCain's own climate change bill.

"Candidate McCain says he would now vote against the immigration bill that Senator McCain wrote.

"Are you kidding? Talk about being for it before you're against it."

But the former Marine says he is willing to march into "the belly of the beast" to demand that Democrats listen to the will of the 80 percent of Americans who want stronger border enforcement.

"It's not an issue at all for them [Democrats]. They're completely ignoring the issue and neglecting it because, essentially, they're derelicts," Gilchrist contends. "They have no business representing the electorate when more than 80 percent of the electorate wants immigration laws enforced, but hardly any of Democrat political governors do. Well, how is that representative government?"

As WND reported earlier, MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, a highly organized and well-funded Central American gang, has infiltrated at least 33 states across the U.S., according to law-enforcement authorities. The gang is well-known in Los Angeles, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C., for excessive brutality. Any person suspected of cooperating with authorities is hunted down, tortured and killed. Alien murderers-for-hire send 4 shipped back to Mexico in body bags

A showdown over drug money between suspected Mexican illegal aliens in Alabama ended with four men in prison and four shipped back to Mexico in body bags.

Three suspected illegal aliens from Mexico and another man have been arrested and charged with capital murder for electrocuting, stabbing, suffocating and beating five men to death in a murder-for-hire.

The four suspects were paid between $400,000 and $450,000 to torture the victims with electric shock and slit their throats in an Alabama apartment, police said Tuesday. The murders have been tied to a drug cartel that transports cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, the Birmingham News reported.

Agents find 62 illegal immigrants in home

EDINBURG, Texas — Federal agents found 62 illegal immigrants in a two-bedroom house after receiving a tip about suspicious activity in a quiet neighborhood Tuesday.

Neighbors on both sides of the duplex where Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents found the immigrants were shocked by the news.

"I was just looking around thinking 'where would they all fit,'" said Cris Melaragno, who lives in another duplex next door. "I barely have room for me and my three kids."

The undocumented immigrants hailed from a variety of Central American countries including Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico, said ICE spokeswoman Adelina Pruneda.
