Playboy’s December cover girl set herself up for the big reveal tonight on The Jay Leno Show, joking with the host that her pop was going to love it “because he thinks I’m very sexual.”

Jay Leno on his show tonight interviewed Handler, and yes he made sure that her new Playboy cover did come up. Apparently, the talk show host made a little call to Hefner to get a copy of the issue and the cover a couple of weeks before it hits newsstands.

The November issue sees Marge posing on a chair with the distinctive Playboy Bunny logo

It marks the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons, viewed as America's most dysfunctional family.

The move to put Marge on the cover is an attempt to draw in a younger audience for the soft porn magazine.

"We knew that this would really appeal to the 20-something crowd," said Playboy spokeswoman Theresa Hennessey.

It is not yet known how much of Marge will be on show inside the issue, but "it's very, very racy," said editorial director James Jellinek.

He added: "She is a stunning example of the cartoon form."

The edition goes on sale in the US on 16 October, but subscribers to the magazine will find their copies have a more traditional live model on the cover.

Playboy owner Hugh Hefner is said to be a huge Simpsons fan and appeared in an episode in the early 1990s.

Ay, Caramaba! Ageless blue-haired mom Marge Simpson will appear on the cover of the November issue of Playboy, according to E! Online.

As Playboy founder Hugh Hefner teased on Twitter in August, Simpson will appear nekkid in a three-page pictorial, which will also feature an interview and data sheet. The spread celebrates The Simpsons’ 20th anniversary.

The burial vault above the remains of Hollywood film star Marilyn Monroe has been sold for more than $4.6m (£2.8m).

More than 20 offers, starting at $500,000, were received for the space, located in the Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

The vault had been advertised on the auction website eBay by the widow of the current occupier.

The name of the buyer has not been revealed - except for the initials OS, used to take part in the auction.

The space was auctioned by the widow of the man buried - face down - above Monroe, to raise enough cash to pay off the mortgage on her Beverly Hills home

His remains would be moved sideways to a neighbouring plot to make room for the new occupant, said widow Elsie Poncher.

Her eBay advert was entitled "Spend eternity directly above Marilyn Monroe".

Richard Poncher died 23 years ago at the age of 81.

The Monty Python stars are to be honoured with a special award from the British Academy of Film and Television (Bafta) to mark their contribution to comedy over 40 years, it emerged today.

John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam will receive the prize at a special screening of a new documentary about the Pythons in New York on 15 October.

It will be the first time all five remaining members of the team will have been reunited since Spamalot, the hit musical based on Monty Python And The Holy Grail, opened on Broadway in 2005.

Cleese said he was pleased to be honoured with his fellow Pythons.

"I believe these trinkets are more important than people think," he joked.

The new film, Monty Python: Almost The Truth (The Lawyer's Cut) will feature interviews with all of the surviving Pythons, along with archive footage of Graham Chapman, who died in 1989.

A former Beverly Hills resident is about to get a rude awakening when he's evicted from his crypt above Marilyn Monroe so his wife can sell it, reports the Los Angeles Times. Elsie Poncher says her hubby was a "helluva nice guy," but she needs the money to help pay off her $1.6 million mortgage.

She's auctioning off the crypt at a Westwood cemetery on eBay starting at $500,000. Her husband bought the crypt from Joe DiMaggio in 1954 in the midst of the baseball legend's divorce from Monroe. Hugh Hefner bought the crypt next to the actress in 1992 for $75,000. "Spending eternity next to Marilyn is too sweet to pass up," Hef said.

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner has scrapped plans to feature 75-year-old TV star Shirley Jones in his raunchy adult magazine - because the actress "wouldn't show enough" skin.

The former Partridge Family star's husband/manager Marty Ingels revealed in May he was pushing for his wife to disrobe in a tasteful pictorial.

But Jones admits her Playboy dreams were dashed because she refused to pose nude.

She tells the National Enquirer, "My children and friends said, 'Shirley, are you crazy? You're going to pose nude?' I replied, 'No, I'm not going to pose naked, but I am going to show the best parts of my body.' In the end, Hef (Hefner) didn't run it because I wouldn't show enough. But I had a great time and the pictures were fabulous."

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's legacy will live on with a new University of Central Florida study aimed at saving the endangered bunnies named after him.

Hefneri, the most recently recognized subspecies of the marsh rabbit, is small with short, dark brown fur and a grayish-white belly. Discovered in 1984, the subspecies was named in honor of Hefner after his organization donated money to support fieldwork on the rabbits.

Hefneri live in an island environment and are dependent on specific grasses and plants for feeding, nesting and shelter. Population growth and development in the Lower Keys has led to the death of the bunnies at the hands of vehicles or domestic animals. Their natural habitat also is being destroyed.

The USFWS hopes to identify rabbits from the most genetically diverse populations, relocate them and create a new population in a habitat where the bunnies are less likely to be disturbed.
