Lawmaker wants to make couples wait 2 years for divorce

Texans would have to wait two years to get a divorce — unless they take a class designed to save their marriage — under a proposal a key state lawmaker says he plans to revive.

Chisum said. "If this just saves one marriage, it'll be fine with me."

"I don't think it's the government's job to force people to stay unhappily married," said state Rep. Jessica Farrar, D-Houston, a member of the House Committee on State Affairs, which considered the marriage and divorce bills last year. Farrar said a few hours of classes wouldn't do enough to address the needs of a troubled marriage.

The reason the elites hate it is that it will definitely mean capitalism has to be reformed, not destroyed. No-one will ever again be able to argue for unrestrained capitalism, or against the notion of market failure and externalities. I think the big polluters hate the latter especially, and it obviously destroys libertarian ideology, which is why the die-hard libertards are so willing to shill for their corporate masters, even if it requires denying reality.

I think the big polluters’ reaction is about more than that suggested by barry. it’s not just the money – they could wear that, or jump early into diversification. But whatever they do, they don’t want to have to face a world which forces them to bear the cost of their externalities. That’s a house of cards for some of these big polluters.

My husband and I have always exchanged chores around the house, including doing the dishes, which I hate to do, and mowing the lawn, which he hates to do. This worked to our mutual satisfaction until he began to be bothered by people in passing cars staring at him as he relaxed while I mowed.

He solved the problem by presenting me with a T-shirt to wear while I was cutting the grass. On the front, big letters said: "IT'S ALL RIGHT." The back of the T-shirt proclaimed: "HE DOES THE DISHES."

Here's a criticism I thought I'd never hear from an Obama supporter. Creepy ex-General and BHO stooge Wesley Clark says that war hero, former squadron commander, two-term Congressman, and four-term Senator John McCain would make a lousy President because of his lack of experience.

Sniffs Clark:

I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.

Obama's most notable experiences consist of getting really stoned a lot in college, which he brags about like the teenager he still mentally is in his excruciatingly revealing Dreams from My Father.

After denouncing his thin resume, next Clark et al. can go after McCain for spending 20 years in the pews of an anti-American church of race hate, for hanging around with unrepentant terrorists who bombed the Pentagon, for being an insufferable snob,

for standing ready to deflect legitimate criticism with the trusty race card, for being pushed by the vile and fanatical mainstream media, et cetera.
