According to NME , Guns N' Roses have finally finished their long awaited Chinese Democracy, the album that Axl Rose has been working on for the past 14 years.

Was it Dr. Pepper's prodding that finally got Axl and the boys to finished what they started 14 years ago?

Therockradio.com reports that Geffen Records, the band's record label, have confirmed they have received a finished copy of the album, and are currently haggling over money and rights issues with Rose.

The album is reported to have cost in excess of $13 million to produce.

Axl Rose with a Kangaroo

<clipSource>http://mog.com/Sturgell/blog_post/155391</clipSource>

Even at Megastores, Hagglers Find No Price Is Set in Stone

clipped by: rmowery

Clip Source: www.nytimes.com

Choose a hotel that has air or land transport arrangements as well so that you wont be bothered with haggling or rushing. Before booking, check the weather forecast of the destination you like so you can be assured of a perfect time.

Tags: vacation, vacations, hawaii, cruises, beaches

<clipSource>http://www.vacations-discounts.com/Beach-Vacations.html</clipSource>

Salary, Gender and the Social Cost of Haggling

clipped by: RayWatkins

Clip Source: www.washingtonpost.com

The findings, published this year in the journal Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, help explain why some other studies have reached conflicting conclusions. For example, one study by Barry A. Gerhart, then at Cornell University, found little difference between male and female MBA students in whether they negotiated over their starting salary. Similarly, Bowles said, the new study showed that women did not act in the same way at all times: They were more likely to negotiate when dealing with another woman than when dealing with a man.

"It is not that women always act one way and men act another way; it tends to be moderated by situational factors," Bowles said. "The point of this paper is: Yes, there is an economic rationale to negotiate, but you have to weigh that against social risks of negotiating. What we show is those risks are higher for women than for men."

Tags: class, gender, economics, education, amercian

<clipSource>http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/29/AR2007072900827.html</clipSource>

Salary, gender and the social cost of haggling

clipped by: pibita
clipper's remarks: Women face higher social risks when negotiating higher wages. Tentatively scheduled for July (nearly two years after Hurricane Katrina forced the chaotic evacuation of New Orleans) is the resolution of two dog-ownership cases, in which a judge in Pinellas County, Fla., will decide, after months of relentless haggling, whether the Louisiana owners, Steven and Dorreen Couture, "abandoned" their dogs as they complied with evacuation orders, or merely left them temporarily at a shelter, which wrongly offered them for adoption. Two Florida women claimed the dogs separately, and have fought doggedly to retain them.

An American, a Scot and a Canadian were in a terrible car accident. They were all brought to the same emergency room, but all three of them died before they arrived. Just as they were about to put the toe tag on the American, he stirred and opened his eyes. Astonished, the doctors and nurses present asked him what happened. "Well," said the American, "I remember the crash, and then there was a beautiful light, and then the Canadian and the Scot and I were standing at the gates of heaven. St. Peter approached us and said that we were all to young to die, and that for a donation of $50, we could return to earth. So of course I pulled out my wallet and gave him the $50, and the next thing I knew I was back here." "That's amazing!" said the one of the doctors, "But what happened to the other two?" "Last I saw them," replied the American, "the Scot was haggling over the price and the Canadian was waiting for the government to pay his."

Tags: humor, humour, joke, jokes, funny

<clipSource>http://masalajokes.blogspot.com/2007/03/heaven-sent.html</clipSource>

Haggle Like a Pro: 5 Lines That Work

clipped by: specialfx2000
clipper's remarks: Here are the highlights from a recent Readers Digest article on Haggling like a pro.

Clip Source: www.rd.com

Haggling tip: "Don't be afraid of silence," Questel says.
