Deeply disturbing evidence has surfaced that a cover-up may be underway, protecting ACORN from prosecution for misbehavior in California. Andrew Breitbart's BigGovernment.com publishes audio excerpts of a talk given by ACORN spokesman David Lagstein to the East County Democrat Club in El Cajon, CA, suggesting the fix is in.

Lagstein notes that the Attorney General is a "political animal." He states that he has been in communication with Brown's office and assures the crowd that "the fault WILL be found with the people that did the video - not ACORN."

And if Prejean is a "fraud," why don't we elect her to be the President of the United States, since the liberals have no problem with the fraud sitting in the Oval Office.

And she and Obama have the exact same views on gay marriage, but Obama is exempt from liberal rage.

But a point driven home by Hannity is a good one – she’s 22-years-old. “I make mistakes just like all of us make mistakes,” said Prejean during the interview, and that’s true. But she’s working from a standpoint that mistakes like this aren’t in her repertoire. Will she stick around the media spotlight? We’ll see – Joe the Plumber hasn’t exactly disappeared, and Prejean has that extra something that Joe never will.

The legislation extends a tax credit of up to $8,000 for qualifying first-time home buyers that was previously set to expire on Nov. 30. If you’re a first-time home buyer, defined as one who has had no ownership interest in a principal residence in the United States in the three years previous to the purchase of a home, you qualify for the credit if you purchase a home or have one under contract by April 30, 2010. (You have an additional 60 days to close after that date.)

If you’re an existing homeowner, you qualify for the new tax credit of up to $6,500 if you have lived in your current residence for five years or more out of the previous eight years and purchase a home or sign a sales contract for one from Nov. 7 to the end of April of next year.

Both credits are available for the purchase of “principal residences” with prices up to $800,000. The credits start to phase out for individuals with incomes above $125,000 and for joint filers who earn more than $225,000.

Former Miss California, Carrie Prejean, gets her just reward.

Carrie Prejean demanded more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations with Miss California USA Pageant officials — that is, until the lawyer for the Pageant showed Carrie an XXX home video of her handiwork.

We’re told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing.

I’d let this story go as just another dim-witted bimbo doing her thing except that it feels a little satisfying watching Prejean get her words and actions thrown back into her face. It’s her anti-gay remarks AFTER the pageant

that was bothersome. She set herself up as a poor little victim who got ostracized for speaking out against gay marriage all the while portraying herself as a Bible-loving do-gooder.

The "Costs" of Medical Care: Part III

One of the strongest talking points of those who want a government-run medical care system is that we simply cannot afford the high and rising costs of medical care under the current system.

First of all, what we can afford has absolutely nothing to do with the cost of producing anything. We will either pay those costs or not get the benefits. Moreover, if we cannot afford the quantity and quality of medical care that we want now, the government has no miraculous way of enabling us to afford it in the future.

If you think the government can lower medical costs by eliminating "waste, fraud and abuse," as some Washington politicians claim, the logical question is: Why haven't they done that already?

Over the years, scandal after scandal has shown waste, fraud and abuse to be rampant in Medicare and Medicaid. Why would anyone imagine that a new government medical program will do what existing government medical programs have clearly failed to do?
