A GERMAN porn movie crew is at the centre of an unholy row — after shooting an X-rated flick in an old PRIESTS’ school.

Church chiefs were left outraged last night after stripped-down starlets were spotted cavorting around the ruins of historic St Peter’s College.

And shocked witnesses told how the kinky blue movie director even planned to film VAMPIRE scenes on the holy ground.

Stunned Zolita McGuicken, 31, said: “There were three scantily-clad girls running around — it was a most peculiar sight.

“There’s no doubt what kind of film it was. There were girls in bikinis draped all over one of the altars. It was pretty surreal. The director said there was even a vampire theme to it.”

St Peter’s was built in 1958 as a teaching college for trainee priests.

But it was left to fall into ruin after closing 28 years ago.

In July, The Scottish Sun told how ads looking for £10-an-hour porn stars have been placed at a Jobcentre in nearby Dumbarton.

For the Brain, Remembering Is Like Reliving

Scientists have for the first time recorded individual brain cells in the act of summoning a spontaneous memory, revealing not only where a remembered experience is registered but also, in part, how the brain is able to recreate it.

“It’s astounding to see this in a single trial; the phenomenon is strong, and we were listening in the right place,” said the senior author, Dr. Itzhak Fried, a professor of neurosurgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Tel Aviv.

Dr. Fried said in a phone interview that the single neurons recorded firing most furiously during the film clips were not acting on their own; they were, like all such cells, part of a circuit responding to the videos, including thousands, perhaps millions, of other cells.

Rachel Brice: tribal belly dance and female imagery

Born in San Francisco, California in the early 70s, Rachel Brice may very well be today's most well-known belly dancer in the world. However, her main training comes from yoga, which she studied and taught while also working as a chiropractor. She fell in love with belly dance in 1998 after watching a group perform in California. From then on, she started learning some steps on her own, watching movies by the mythical ballerina Suhaila Salimpour. She would film herself dancing to see her progress and she even enrolled in an university programme of Ethnic Dance. Yet, fate led her into a therapeutic career, which kept her away from her inborn talent for four years.

Jolie posters not "Wanted" in UK, watchdog rules

LONDON (Reuters) - Angelina Jolie might ooze Hollywood glamour, but if she's armed and looking dangerous, the actress is not welcome in Britain.

Britain's media watchdog, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), has banned two posters of Jolie promoting the film "Wanted" after upholding complaints that the images of the gun-toting actress glamorized the use of guns and violence.

After a hiatus this summer Page to Screen, PW's roundup of news about books being sold (or about to be sold) in Hollywood, is back. This week an erotic thriller fetches a hefty sum and a YA heavy grabs studio attention.

On the sales front, Roberta Brown, of Brown Literary Agency, has sold film rights to a 2009-slated erotic thriller by Jo Davis called When Alex Was Bad. Producer Cathy Schulman, whose credits include Paul Haggis' Best Picture-winner Crash and the indie Thumbsucker, optioned the book for high six figures; IPG's Joel Gotler was the co-agent. The book, which NAL is publishing, follows a wife who, in an attempt to save her marriage, allows her husband to live out a series of sexual fantasies with other women. A murder plot ensues.

FILM PROSPECTUS: Is a tool or document generated by the filmmaker (usually producer) that draws up details for the prospective investor to look at. It covers both the financial and business details of the project (including budget, payroll, distribution, recoupment schedules, etc) as well as some of the overall creative details of script, casting, locations, etc. It is an invaluable tool for the producer to attract investors and funding (both gov't and private). Now, I just did a quick goggle search of "film prospectus" and found this: http://www.sacredcow.com/hicks/prospectus.html Although I scanned it and it's not an exceptional example by any means, it should get you started.

So too this Asia Time's article How Obama lost the election, written by their nom de plumed columnist, "Spengler." I could easily excerpt every sentence, but then ... . I'll settle for these 'zamples.

With the number of stock photos already out there, there's no reason for sites to accept anything less than technically perfect. The focus has to be sharp. Blurring should generally be reserved only to demonstrate movement. Use can use higher film-speed settings and a wide aperture to allow you to shoot things that are moving quickly, but keep in mind these can also add grain or noise to a shot.

Sunday’s screening of the Hollywood-goes-conservative film “An American Carol” brought out some of the movie’s principals, including Kevin Farley (brother of the late “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Chris Farley), Jon Voight and producer David Zucker, for some conservative laughs.

Actor and outspoken Republican Kelsey Grammer, who plays Gen. George Patton in the film, appeared in a video to address the crowd. Grammer, who recently had a heart attack, got applause from the audience when he told them that “against doctor’s orders, I watched a little of the coronation coverage. I mean convention coverage,” referring to the Democrats’ Denver confab in which they named Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) their main man.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews might not just be interviewing politicians this convention season — he might also be laying plans to join their ranks. Matthews, who reportedly has designs on the Senate seat now occupied by Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), seems to be angling for the new gig, meeting with the Pennsylvania delegation during the Democrats’ convention in Denver, HOH hears.

Matthews is at the center of some very public tiffs with fellow MSNBCers, including “Countdown” host Keith Olbermann.

An HOH spy saw the “Hardball” host arriving at the Minneapolis airport on Sunday, standing on one of the moving walkways. While chatting on his cell phone (the spy overheard him talking about “Keith” — presumably Olbermann), Matthews obliviously blocked the path on the walkway, causing a backup behind him.

HOH caught up with Santorum at Sunday night’s screening of the conservative comedy, “An American Carol.” Santorum said he had heard of Matthews’ delegate visit — and he clearly didn’t approve.
