Billions and billions of dollars have been spent to create a fat, bloated bureaucracy that appears at times to have done as much to harm to the lives of women as it has done to help, and soon that bureaucracy will be asking for more money.

VAWA - One of the Biggest Taxpayer Fleecings in the History of America

At a recent Domestic Violence Council Conference in San Diego, one thing that was hammered home by one of the event's speakers was the fact that, during the past ten years, the rate of domestic violence homicides for women has remained relatively constant. Curiously, this has occurred during a time in our society that I would characterize as a Draconian, domestic violence, "arrest fest" of America's men. Often men have been arrested for the most trivial of things, such as throwing a pencil, or a "perceived threat" alleged by a female intimate. The speaker at the conference preached that the real reason behind domestic violence was "the violent nature of men," and that more Draconian efforts were needed. Of course, more arrests would give the appearance of a bigger problem, requiring more government funding.

If this were merely a failure to cite Kinnock, why was Labor Leader Neil Kinnock talking about the Biden family and the coal mines of Pennsylvania?

Biden not only lifted -- as The New York Times reported -- Kinnock's "phrases, gestures and lyrical Welsh syntax intact," but also his entire life story.

Kinnock said: "Why am I the first Kinnock in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Why is (my wife) Glenys the first woman in her family in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Was it because all our predecessors were thick?"

Biden said: "I started thinking as I was coming over here, why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university? Why is it that my wife who is sitting out there in the audience is the first in her family to ever go to college? Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright?"

Kinnock's speech continued: "Those people who could sing and play and recite and write poetry? Those people who could make wonderful, beautiful things with their hands? Those people who could dream dreams, see visions? Why didn't they get it? Was it because they were weak? Those people who could work eight hours underground and then come up and play football? Weak?"

A child gains more from the memories he has with his father than all of the things he can buy. A child is closer to the values he holds dear, family life and even his own mother when his father is present in the home. The culture around the family benefits so much because fathers are there to lead and be a part of families, and it suffers when fathers are not.

We are the people our parents brought us up to be. They molded us, shaped us and gave us the platform on which we experience life and the lens through which we view the world. We’re apples that fell right beneath the trees that bore us. And so, they should ruminate on how they have left the world to us and what we have done with it with great satisfaction.

When you attend the temple and perform the ordinances that pertain to the house of the Lord, certain blessings will come to you:

• You will receive the spirit of Elijah, which will turn your heart to your spouse, to your children, and to your forebears.

• You will love your family with a deeper love than you have loved before.

• Your heart will be turned to your fathers, and theirs to you.

• You will be endowed with power from on high as the Lord has promised.

• You will receive the key of the knowledge of God. You will learn how you can be like Him. Even the power of godliness will be manifest to you. (See D&C 84:19–20.)

• You will be doing a great service to those who have passed to the other side of the veil. Your work will enable them to be “judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit” (D&C 138:34).

Such are the blessings of the temple and the blessings of frequently attending the temple.

The temple is an ever-present reminder that God intends the family to be eternal. How fitting it is for mothers and fathers to point to the temple and say to their children, “That is the place where we were married for eternity.” By so doing, the ideal of temple marriage can be instilled within the minds and hearts of your children while very young.

These are choice memories to me, and I have often reflected on them. In the peace of these lovely temples, sometimes we find solutions to the serious problems of life. Under the influence of the Spirit, sometimes pure knowledge flows to us there. Temples are places of personal revelation. When I have been weighed down by a problem or a difficulty, I have gone to the House of the Lord with a prayer in my heart for answers. These answers have come in clear and unmistakable ways.

"I think they are going to it way too many times. It's the original story that defined John McCain, that still when you read it in his book 'Faith of my Fathers,' when you read about it in 'The Nightingale's Song,' you can't help but have admiration and respect for the guy. And I think he wisely for many years stayed away from it as a political tool, he really did. But now it not only defines him, it's become a crutch in the campaign. And I think he is in danger of trivializing it. By the time they get to the convention in St. Paul, there might not be much of it left to use."

So why is the world retreating behind nationalistic walls--even in America, where you might least expect it?

The short answer is this: The expanding economic freedom of the past few decades was primarily a response to the bankruptcy of communism and socialism; it was not based on acceptance of capitalism as an ideal. Without such acceptance, recent political advances--despite the economic success they generated--are vulnerable to the new wave of anti-capitalist measures.

For all of capitalism's astounding accomplishments, the intellectual underpinning sufficient to deflect its critics has never been fully identified or understood.

This is why Barack Obama can get away with belittling the "money culture," his wife can smugly counsel youth to shun "corporate America" and John McCain can brag about working "out of patriotism, not for profit."

Capitalism will remain the world's punching bag until such time as the profit motive is rescued from moral oblivion.

Growing up, neither Ochieng nor Obama knew their fathers, who both abandoned their American mothers and left their American-born children behind. Next, the tiny little thugs started putting up comments in my name and regular commenters's names, even using the word "nigger" in one of those posts -- as if that commenter had said it. That's straight defamation, and completely disgusting.

Finally, after I started deleting comments that were clearly from people sent over here to be part of a mob to punish me for speech unapproved by the liberalocracy, the tiny thugs started posting huge spam posts like the one above -- also in my name -- from proxy servers in Germany, etc.

So, in favor of your fellow travelers, or not?

My question: Was the reason our founding fathers fought for free speech really so tiny little thugs who call themselves "progressives" can foil any possibility of it on the websites of anyone whose opinions they disagree with?

The "progressives" at SadlyNo! didn't like my thoughts on a woman named Tarika Wilson, an unwed mother who had six daddyless children with five different drug dealers, and had then taken up with another, and was then shot and killed in a SWAT raid on her house.

The SadlyPathetic's were irate that I didn't write it their way. I told one of their commenters, if they wanted a different angle on the story, they were free to go open their own blog and have at it. (Whoops...did I forget to kowtow?)

This, apparently, is thinking unapproved by the "progressives" at SadlyNo! But instead of merely posting a critical blog item on it, a mob of their commenters rushed over to punish me (apparently, they do this to anyone they do not agree with who is not a flaming lefty)

The Masonic tradition at that time was highly steeped in OCCULTISM. The Masons were all practicing CEREMONIAL MAGICIANS. George Washington, wearing a Masonic apron, actually performed a Masonic (occult) rite when the cornerstone of the capital was laid and he placed a box containing Masonic medallions in that cornerstone. The signing of the Declaration of Independence was based on astrological timing worked out by one of the Founding Fathers. July 4th, 1776 at 12:00 noon at Philadelphia (PA) was very significant. That very time is when John Hancock placed his signature on the Declaration. They wanted to make sure that all of the "signs" were propitious for this infant country. Would Christians go to this trouble? Absolutely NOT! Consequently, the United States was founded by occultists based on occult principles.

Forced marriage victims being betrayed by doctors

Young women fleeing forced marriages are being betrayed by GPs and benefits staff who "collude" with families to return them against their will, a senior police officer police has revealed.

Doctors and Job Centre workers are breaching confidentiality rules and passing on vital information to families, allowing them to trace and punish Asian women who are attempting to escape coerced marriages and "honour"-based domestic violence.

Commander Steve Allen, who is the spokesman on forced marriages for Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), revealed that some doctors have informed girls' families that they have asked for the contraceptive pill, placing them at risk from fathers or brothers who believe this means the family's honour has been besmirched.

The Founding Fathers, the framers of the Constitution, wanted to form a government that did not allow one person to have too much authority or control. While under the rule of the British king they learned that this could be a bad system. Yet government under the Articles of Confederation taught them that there was a need for a strong centralized government.

With this in mind the framers wrote the Constitution to provide for a separation of powers, or three separate branches of government. Each has its own responsibilities and at the same time they work together to make the country run smoothly and to assure that the rights of citizens are not ignored or disallowed. This is done through checks and balances. A branch may use its powers to check the powers of the other two in order to maintain a balance of power among the three branches of government.

Bernie Mac, Comedian Dies at Age 50

The last is the layer Bernie Mac came from. He was raised by his mother, Mary, who died when he was sixteen. Bernie Mac was an orphan who made his way in the world.

And his comedy reflected the envy and longing and love of the layers of Black people on his home turf… he loved nothing more than to make fun of arrogance and haughtiness, and had a sharp eye for the facial expressions and gestures of humans ‘acting up,’ He mimed those gestures perfectly. He was a ‘body’ comedian therefore, not only a spoken word comedian.

Bernie Mac has died way too early. He had Sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disorder that can scar the lungs. The coroner’s office noted his death was ‘natural,’ which seems like such a wrong word for death in one so young. He’d been hospitalized for pneumonia on August 1, 2008.

Mr. Mac grew up on the South Side of Chicago. From having lived there in the 60’s, I can tell you South Side had three layers:
–the brick two-story homes of the Utilities, Road and Water operations workers that Boss Daley had given jobs to for life (in return, in part, for the workers being block and neighborhood captains and such other);

–What were sometimes called the Projects, tall buildings of cubicles that ought to have been called ‘the wastelands,’ where lived children and many mothers and sometimes fathers, who were trying to raise their kids up, but could not afford housing without state and fed’s supplementations;
