However, this so called election 'coup' failed as the courageous people of Iran took to the streets to let the world know what is happening and make their cries for justice and basic rights be heard throughout the globe. Once again, a dictatorship has failed to tame the brave and free people of Iran. The Islamic regime has lost all credibility. This is the beginning of the end for this corrupt, backward and violent regime.

Clip Source: www.youtube.com

The dictatorship regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran, took away the last remaining right of it's people, the right to vote, by rigging the 2009 presidential election in a major way in favor of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Tags: ahmadi, dictatorship, iran rally, supreme leader ali khamenei, tehran rally, where is my vote?

<clipSource>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjRLucOAar4</clipSource>

Sarah Palin Resigning as Alaska's Governor

clipped by: nchnted
clipper's remarks: ??

Clip Source: www.huffingtonpost.com

Sarah Palin Resigning as Alaska's Governor

After Sarah Palin's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week she has announced she will be stepping down in a few weeks. First is the Democrats’ false branding of the Republican Party as being racist. And second, is the deeply-rooted belief that “the government must do something for blacks”. Whereas the Republican Party promotes self-sufficiency among the black community, the Democrat Party insists on blacks’ dependence on the government. I think Geraghty gets quite a lot right, particularly as to the left’s rather ignorant perceptions of who and what conservatives are, and he suggests that there is a great deal of complexity to the hate.

The truth is, if Sarah Palin had a “D” after her name, instead of an “R”, they’d adore her,

Put a D after her name, and the story would be completely different

Although, even in that best-of circumstance, there may be something to the idea I wrote a while back, that they hate Sarah Palin because she is not a victim:

And no matter what, she’ll have to deal with a press fully intent on destroying her with a savagery we haven’t seen them use even against Reagan or Bush.

Tags: sarah palin, love, hate

<clipSource>http://www.firstthings.com/blogs/theanchoress/2009/07/02/why-do-they-hate-sarah-palin/</clipSource>

The Green Brief #16 @Iran_Translator(July 02)

clipped by: merrie
clipper's remarks: 4. Samareh Hashemi, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's campaign manager, told PressTV today that the SMS outage and cell phone service restrictions were put in place to "ensure security"

5. More international pressure is being mounted on Iran's Government. There will be an EU meeting next week where it is reported that member nations will consider pulling their ambassadors from Iran.

6. Al-Arabiya's website has stated that an Egyptian lawyer belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, Mamdouh Ismail has filed a complaint in Egypt's Prosecutor General's Office. He has asked them to ban Ahmadinejad from entering Egypt next month to attend a diplomatic meeting. He has accused Ahmadinejad of winning the election erroneously and for insulting two of Prophet Mohammed's companions.

7. Seven people were arrested in Qazvin today in connection with the protests. The head of Participation Front in Hormozgan Province, Mr. Ramezanpour, was also arrested.

Clip Source: greenbrief.newsvine.com

1. Thousands of people gathered at Iran's Beheshte Zahra Cemetery, along with other smaller cemeteries, to mourn the people who have died in the protests. The numbers were hard to confirm, but various sources claimed somewhere between 10,000 – 15,000. Large numbers of Basijis were reported to have been stationed in and around Beheshte Zahra Cemetery, but no clashes were reported. Shopkeepers in Tabriz have reportedly stopped their strikes because of government intimidation and threats made by the Basijis.

How an American comedian contesting a Senate seat ends up President of Iran speaks volumes to the inefficiency of the Federal government. Perhaps it's time to burn all of out institutions down and start from scratch again. Call it 'shock and awe' or something."

McCain finished by saying, "Of course all this could have been avoided if the legislative branch had allowed us six months ago to nuke Iran."

Clip Source: www.thespoof.com

Al Franken Wins Election In Iran

MacMoody Ima Dinnerjacket - Outgoing Iranian President

Tehran, Iran - A judicial recount in Iran has had a very improbable outcome. Minnesota State Senate hopeful, Al Franken, has posted an overwhelming majority over incumbent President Mahmoody Ima Dinnerjacket.

Said Franken, "Oh my Allah! I didn't even know I was in the running." The Iranian election results have been plagued by protests, violence and murder. President Ima Dinnerjacket had thought the main contender for his job was Reformist candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi. The final outcome, with Al Franken assuming the presidency, came as a bit of a shock

Said Ima Dinnerjacket, "This comes as a bit of a shock. But as I've said all along, this is the work of the CIA. It couldn't be more obvious."

When asked about the results, CIA Director, Leon Panetta, bearing a striking resemblance to Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove, had only this rather perplexing assessment:

Tags: iran, elections

<clipSource>http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s3i55492</clipSource>
