Eisenhower was president. Federal troops were ordered into Little Rock, Arkansas to aid in the integration of public schools. Explorer I was launched, as was NASA. The first-ever Grammy Awards were given, and Ella Fitzgerald won two of them.

That same year, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. published his first book, Stride Toward Freedom. Griffith Stadium was home to the Washington Senators, and 30% of D.C.'s black population owned homes. Nelson Mandela wed Winnie. And, in 1958, newlyweds Ben and Virginia Ali gave birth to a new enterprise.

Despite a national business failure rate of 55.9%, the Ali's used $5,000 to begin renovating a building at 1213 U Street. It had high-arched ceilings, character, and plenty of history. Built in 1910, it first housed a silent movie house called the Minnehaha Theater. Later, Harry Beckley, one of D.C.’s first Black police detectives, converted it into a pool hall. On Aug. 22, 1958, Ben’s Chili Bowl was born.

Clip Source: www.benschilibowl.com

Clip Source: www.benschilibowl.com

Tags: ben's chili bowl, cool stuff, history, usa, ben ali

<clipSource>http://www.benschilibowl.com/ordereze/Content/2/Summary.aspx</clipSource>

The Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex and the USAnian Empire

clipped by: In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. Actually, the founding fathers believed one of our biggest enemies would rise from within: apathetic ignorance.

Thomas Jefferson wrote, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”

One hundred and forty-five years later, President Eisenhower echoed Jefferson’s fear when he left office in 1961:

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex.
These days, false flag activities are much more sophisticated…and debauched. These aren’t your granddaddy’s covert operations.

The most commonly known false flag operations consist of an intelligence agency staging a terror attack such that an uninvolved entity gets blamed for the carnage.

Another type of false flag operation might consist of directing purposefully belligerent and trigger-happy clandestine demonstrators to mingle with peace activists in order to disrupt and discredit a passive protest event.

Yet another type of false flag activity consists of infiltrating the opposition, then making easily disproved claims which will embarrass and undermine the credibility of the organization.

An Ignorant Public Enables False Flags

Tags: 10 false flags that changed the world

<clipSource>http://dprogram.net/false-flags/</clipSource>

The Weakness of National Military Strength

clipped by: tabsey
clipper's remarks: Wonderful words from the past President.

Clip Source: www.truthout.org

During 2008, the nations of the world spent nearly $1.5 trillion on their military

Peace Research Institute, which noted that the five biggest spenders were the
United States ($607 billion), China ($85 billion), France ($66 billion), Britain
($65 billion) and Russia ($59 billion). Adjusted for inflation, the total represents
an increase of 45 percent in military expenditures over the past decade

so the game of national military "defense" continues, despite

the debate continues to rage on over whether or not the U.S. should include
a public, government-funded plan in its healthcare reform, many citizens
abruptly noticed that the federal government funds and regulates all Interstate
Highways in the nation, and has done so for over 50 years.

Now, many are up in arms over the largest public works project in history,
which has somehow gone unnoticed since the mid-20th century.

"I can't believe I didn't think of this before," said conservative
analyst Paul Dobson, slapping his forehead in disbelief. "We were
all so focused on the idea of the government ruining healthcare forever
that we forgot how President Eisenhower -- who was obviously tricked by
President Barack Hussein Obama -- already ruined our highways by building
and then socializing them in the 1950s."

Dobson further clarified that Obama is not a U.S. citizen, but rather
