Gaddafi son says Lockerbie families were 'greedy'

He said: “I just wish that the needs of the relatives, namely a thirst for the truth and for justice would be attended to, rather than an alleged hunger for money. So far as many relatives I know would say, we would gladly repay any ’compensation’ money if we could just have our loved ones back.

“Financial ’compensation’ must remain in its inverted commas. Money cannot buy our families back.”

In a letter published in The Herald newspaper today, Dr Swire said the Libyan government’s admission of guilt for the Lockerbie bombing had allowed its economy to recover while giving the West access to the country’s oil industry.

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's son has accused relatives of the Lockerbie bombing victims of "trading with the blood of their sons and daughters” in their demands for compensation.

Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi, who is seen as the leading candidate to succeed his father as Libyan leader, said that the Lockerbie families were "very greedy” during negotiations over payouts for the deaths of loved ones.

Mr Gaddafi also told BBC2’s The Conspiracy Files that the Libyan government had only taken responsibility for Britain’s worst terrorist attack in order to get international sanctions lifted.

“You have to ask the families of the victims,” he said. “The negotiation with them, it was very terrible and very materialistic and was very greedy. They were asking for more money and more money and more money.”

He continued: “I think they were very greedy and I think they were trading with the blood of their sons and daughters.”

MEMPHIS -- Bartlett Grove Park sits in the middle of a Tennessee subdivision in the Memphis suburb of Bartlett.

It's a favorite spot for children, and was recently the site of an adult web site porno shoot.

"She's definitely a tramp, just nasty," parent Barbara Taylor said in reaction to the video.

"I think it's disgusting," she said. "I think I'm not letting my kids go down that slide anymore."

Bartlett Police Captain Tina Schaber said the girl in the video is clearly breaking a law.

"Public indecency right off the bat," Schaber said. "I don't think this would be appropriate for an adult to see in a park, much less a child."

According to Schaber, the model and those video-taping her could be charged with a number of other crimes.

"These days, who knows?" she said. "She could be over 18, she could be under 18."

Biden's other son from his first marriage is scheduled to be deployed to Iraq in early October, an event the Obama campaign has factored heavily into its early October campaign schedule.

"Biden is very well aware that his son's deployment is going to be a big part of what we do in October. It's part of our narrative and we're going to milk it for all it's worth," says one of the Obama advisers. "Republicans would do the same."

Except that McCain hasn't made an issue of his son's service in Iraq. Who guessed that in this election, Obama would be the cynical one? (Well, other than conservative bloggers.)

In spite of the Democrats' plan, I think Biden's other son will end up getting far more attention.

Organization reiterates plan for homeless during DNC

DENVER – The coalition tasked with ending homelessness in Denver says it is not offering movie tickets and zoo passes to the homeless during the Democratic National Convention.

It will, however, continue its regular practice of offering bus tokens to homeless people who need them.

Officials with Denver's Road Home program say this week they have been receiving a lot of requests from homeless people who heard reports of those tickets being given away. The reports stem from a story on a hair salon that offered free haircuts to the homeless on Monday. The owners of that salon originally came up with the idea after seeing reports in July about a possible plan to give away tickets and open an emergency shelter for the homeless during the convention.

Soon after those stories surfaced, officials with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless issued a statement, saying they have no intentions to "hide the homeless."

Kitty Litter cake!

1 pk Spice cake mix
      1 pk White cake mix
      1 pk White sandwich cookies
      1 sm Package instant vanilla pudding mix

12 sm Tootsie Rolls

Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions. Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble. Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in blender. They tend to stick, so scrape often.

When cakes are cooled, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. Gently combine. Pour into a clean kitty litter box.

Put unwrapped Tootsie Rolls in a microwave safe dish two at a time and heat until soft and pliable. Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat until you have nine, and bury them in the mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top. Heat three more Tootsie Rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Serve with a new pooper scooper.

Next, the tiny little thugs started putting up comments in my name and regular commenters's names, even using the word "nigger" in one of those posts -- as if that commenter had said it. That's straight defamation, and completely disgusting.

Finally, after I started deleting comments that were clearly from people sent over here to be part of a mob to punish me for speech unapproved by the liberalocracy, the tiny thugs started posting huge spam posts like the one above -- also in my name -- from proxy servers in Germany, etc.

So, in favor of your fellow travelers, or not?

My question: Was the reason our founding fathers fought for free speech really so tiny little thugs who call themselves "progressives" can foil any possibility of it on the websites of anyone whose opinions they disagree with?

The "progressives" at SadlyNo! didn't like my thoughts on a woman named Tarika Wilson, an unwed mother who had six daddyless children with five different drug dealers, and had then taken up with another, and was then shot and killed in a SWAT raid on her house.

The SadlyPathetic's were irate that I didn't write it their way. I told one of their commenters, if they wanted a different angle on the story, they were free to go open their own blog and have at it. (Whoops...did I forget to kowtow?)

This, apparently, is thinking unapproved by the "progressives" at SadlyNo! But instead of merely posting a critical blog item on it, a mob of their commenters rushed over to punish me (apparently, they do this to anyone they do not agree with who is not a flaming lefty)

Barbara Tucker used a loudhailer to accuse Duncan of being a "murderer, terrorist, child murderer, bomber, disgusting, horrible and totally corrupt" as he left parliament one evening in February.

He claimed today that the conviction now put pressure on the Commons leader, Harriet Harman, to decide whether or not to move the protesters on permanently.

Duncan said: "The whole encampment has become a vulgar and pointless display which is utterly demeaning for the Westminster parliament.

"It is nothing to do with freedom of speech or the right to protest. It no longer has any justifiable democratic purpose. It is time to stop it."
