So we just got our hands on Randy and Evi Quaid's awesome mug shots -- check out Randy's dapper coat-over-the-shoulder move -- and just for kicks, the Quaids asked the Presidio County Sheriff to send us two bonus gifts as well.

-- A hand written statement, which says, "Although we were married at the San Ysidro Ranch and are about to have our 20th anniversary from that happy lovely event, paying 20k for our bond seems fitting..."

Bonus #2 -- A copy of a cashier's check from the Quaids to the San Ysidro Ranch -- the place they allegedly stiffed -- for $5,546.96.

f you don’t recognize Joel McHale from The Soup, E!’s satirical examination of the week’s pop-culture misfires, then you’ve probably mistaken him for that other dapper host from the same network: “I’m the poor man’s Ryan Seacrest,” McHale jokes. But this fall, the 37-year-old married father of two will get triple exposure when he stars as a phony lawyer in NBC’s Community, a sharply written comedy from the Emmy-winning Arrested Development team, then appears in this month’s The Informant!, directed by Steven Soderbergh. And he’ll still be Soup-ing it up on Friday nights, which means he’ll be busier than, well, dare we say…Seacrest?

This is a series of in-flight views of Dapper Dan on a close approach to my viewing spot. In order to get this close, you need a very long 500mm lens, a 1.4x teleconverter and a lot of cropping of the image. All shots taken are done this way and most are hand held.

In the film, Dorothy, a schoolgirl living in Kansas, is struck unconscious during a tornado. She dreams about how she and her dog Toto, with the help of a Scarecrow, a Tin man and a Cowardly Lion, find their way home from the magical world of Oz.

The psychologist Ellen Langer once had subjects engage in a betting game against either a self-assured, well-dressed opponent or a shy and badly dressed opponent (in Langer’s delightful phrasing, the “dapper” or the “schnook” condition), and she found that her subjects bet far more aggressively when they played against the schnook. They looked at their awkward opponent and thought, I’m better than he is. Yet the game was pure chance: all the players did was draw cards at random from a deck, and see who had the high hand. Britain's oldest abseiler

A 93-year-old Gloucestershire man has dropped into the record books as Britain's oldest - and best-dressed - abseiler.

In a natty tweed jacket, shirt and tie, dapper daredevil Les Pugh, 93, descended 160ft from an office block roof to raise £15,000 for two charities.

He was cheered by hundreds of well-wishers as he came down the side of the Eagle Tower in Cheltenham, reports the Daily Mirror.

Mr Pugh, of nearby Stonehouse, said: "It was lovely - just as wonderful as I thought it was going to be.

"I didn't feel any nerves while I was up there - I'm completely impervious to heights. I really enjoyed it."

He was one of two people over the age of 70 to descend the Eagle Tower in Cheltenham. The youngest participants were two nine-year-old girls.

Money raised from event is to be donated to the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled and the Gloucestershire MS Therapy Centre.
