The Democrats have even gotten so desperate that one of their party operatives has released the first five numbers of Sarah Palin's Social Security number to the public as part of a Democratic opposition research file. That means, by the way, that they have the whole number, and have previously used it as part of their research against her. And it's probably not too difficult for some lefty hacker to figure out the remaining four digits if it hasn't already been released -- it's a simple permutation equation with just 10,000 solutions. The Politico has helpfully posted the entire opposition report, including the partial SS number, here. Is this a surprise? Not really -- Chuck Schumer did the same thing to Michael Steele in 2006. Make no mistake about it; the media and the Dems are out to destroy Palin and her family by any means necessary.

The Washington Post reported that John McCain's vetting process for picking Governor Sarah Palin included an FBI background check. Other reports dispute this. But when did the FBI investigate Obama? Who vetted him?

We are living witnesses to an incredible media double standard, whereby a Republican vice-presidential candidate's personal life is being torn apart, while the Democratic presidential candidate continues to get a free ride. Obama has a 30-year history of associating with unsavory characters, beginning with communist Frank Marshall Davis and continuing with Jeremiah Wright and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, which should disqualify him from getting a security clearance in the government that he wants to run.

But the media would rather talk about Republicans and sex.

The victim was his daughter Bridget, found by Cindy McCain at Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh, brought to the U.S. for medical treatment and adopted. In the South Carolina primary, anonymous McCain opponents used a telephone "push poll" across the state, asking voters what they thought of McCain's "illegitimate" black child. McCain lost South Carolina, and the Republican nomination.

Ask the left-wing Internet haters, the anonymous propagandists who call themselves bloggers on the Daily Kos.

And ask Bristol Palin, who didn't deserve it, and was a victim of the rumor-mongers consumed with attacking her mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican running mate of Sen. John McCain, because the mother is a conservative and opposes abortion.

The Internet rumors claimed that Sarah's baby, Trig, born four months ago with Down syndrome, wasn't really hers but her daughter's.

"Sarah Palin is NOT The Mother" cried one Daily Kos blogger who goes by a screen name ArcXIX.

Well Sarah, I'm calling you a liar and not even a good one. Trig Paxson Van Palin is not your son. He is your grandson. The sooner you come forward with this revelation to the public, the better."

"We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our hearts and mean everything to us," Sarah and Todd Palin said.

Over the past week, he lied about Obama and visiting the troops. In fact, his new ad on this is also a lie.

He lied about his admission that he is the damn fool when it comes to the economy;

His campaign lied about oil spills after Hurricane Katrina;

He lied about his voting record when questioned by a veteran about it;

He lied about decreasing oil prices being because Bush lifted the offshore drilling ban;

He lied about his position on Bosnia and Kosovo in trying to prove his credentials;

He lied about his opting into public financing when it was convenient for him to opt back out;

He lied a few months back about Iran-Contra.

He lied this week (again) about not using the word "timetable";

It was taken, and published, by the Anchorage Daily News in 2006. Baby Trig, a Down's Syndrome child, was born on April 18, 2008.

Shorly after Palin was announced McCain's VP, bloggers at the Kos started ginning up the rumor Palin faked her pregnancy, allegedly to cover for an illegitimate grandchiled, because she looked so fit and trim in a photo taken a few months before giving birth.

I’ve Been Banned At DailyKos Because Of John Edwards

BREAKING UPDATE: I made a new name to comment on a thread someone started about me getting banned….I used my own name. 3 hours later, banned again!

We’re getting a lot of traffic, so I should mention one thing - a few reports have said I was a longtime blogger at DailyKos but it’s more than that, really — if you visit my YouTube page you’ll see that DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas called one of my videos ‘the best YouTube parody’ of 2007. So this whole thing is really a pretty big turnaround.

Someone on Kos noticed I was banned and they discuss it. Short version - I had it coming!

Also, the Gawker wrote about my banishment and turned up the ultimate answer to the idea that I was banned for citing a tabloid — a 2005 diary someone wrote with Kos commenters praising the National Enquirer when they ran a story about George Bush.

Now I’m banned. I can’t write about ANYTHING at Kos. Can’t comment, can’t post a non-Edwards piece. Nothing.

Unfortunately, a large number of the comments were nothing but insults. One person suggested seriously that all the videos I've made lampooning Republicans (including my Mike Huckabee video that Kos himself called the 'best political parody of 2007) were just a ruse so I could weasel my way into the progressive blogosphere, apparently in anticipation of John Edwards being caught at hotel. "

Seems the urge to protect their own (Edwards) includes trashing the messenger (Stranahan). If only the truth could so easily be silenced....

Before I dive in, let me get the 'objectivity' thing out of the way. As a citizen journalist whose main claim to fame is producing satirical comedy, I can be upfront about my political leanings. I'm a recovering libertarian and currently I'm a registered Democrat who is excited to be voting for Barack Obama in November. I like John Edwards and up until a few days ago, he would have been my first choice for Vice President on an Obama ticket. I'm far from Puritan - anything two or more consenting adults want to do is fine by me. I also think it's obvious a person's sexual life doesn't keeps them from being an effective politician.

The progressive blogosphere is ignoring this story at its own peril because it's going to be big. At this moment, there's a weird state of denial about the entire thing. As of 4pm Saturday, nothing at all on TalkingPointMemo.com. DailyKos did a dismissive post making fun of the Enquirer. FireDogLake? Nothing. Americablog?

It was a crummy week for Obama, leading up to the 4th of July. But over on DailyKos, the antiwar, progressive netroots could learn why smart guys using "hard numbers" can demonstrate that Obama's opposition to gun control laws, support for unfettered government wiretapping, and denunciation of the Supreme Court for placing limits on the death penalty, as well as his vow to expand Bush's faith-based initiatives and his backtracking on firm deadlines for withdrawal from Iraq, are actually brilliant good news.

I'll spare you the rehash of poll numbers showing that Obama needs to shore up support among conservatives and independent, swing voters--never mind those young, progressive, antiwar voters he assumes are already in his pocket.

But Obama's FISA position and his Iraq War waffle are the hardest to swallow.

Ever since 9/11, this Administration has put forward a false choice between the liberties we cherish and the security we demand.

Ideological Contortionist, Barack Obama, marches toward his personal goal of causing one million Progressives' heads to simultaneously explode.

He obtained an essential first step toward this aim when he capitulated on FISA, a move so contradictory to the core of the Progressive movement that outraged midget, Markos "Dailykos" Moulitsas, yanked a generous contribution from Obama's bony fingers as punishment for the sneaky, immoral maneuver. Moveon.org was also unhappy with Obama, all of which brings to mind the ancient expression: If You Wrong The Progressives, Protect Your Crotch.

Obama had real potential, or so the Progressives thought. They sunk their time and money into Obama, and as thanks, he turned around and bit the hands that fed him.

Selling out his Progressive base on FISA was bad enough, but then Obama followed up his gradual tumble toward triangulation when he recently vowed to expand Bush's faith-based programs.

Emily Nordling has never met a Muslim, at least not to her knowledge. But this spring, Ms. Nordling, a 19-year-old student from Fort Thomas, Ky., gave herself a new middle name on Facebook.com, mimicking her boyfriend and shocking her father.

“Emily Hussein Nordling,” her entry now reads.

With her decision, she joined a growing band of supporters of Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who are expressing solidarity with him by informally adopting his middle name.

“I am sick of Republicans pronouncing Barack Obama’s name like it was some sort of cuss word,” Mr. Strabone wrote in a manifesto titled “We Are All Hussein” that he posted on his own blog and on dailykos.com.

So like the residents of Billings, Mont., who reacted to a series of anti-Semitic incidents in 1993 with a townwide display of menorahs in their front windows, these supporters are brandishing the name themselves.

But while the summary certification disproves the Geraghty speculations, it says nothing about what I previously offered as a more plausible scenario - namely, that the full-length document might indicate Obama's parents were avowedly unmarried at the time of his birth (which would contradict Obama lore that they were in good faith married, but only later dissolved the marriage upon the revelation that Obama Sr. had never divorced his first wife in Kenya).

[it doesn't make the candidate unfit on account of his parents' marital status, but the direct contradiction to what Obama has said in the past would fray yet another thread in his ever-unraveling backstory.]

But there's a bigger problem here than the document's chain of custody. It involves the difference between a "Certificate of Live Birth" and a "Certification of Live Birth". This is the latter, despite Kos' identification of it as the former.

Per the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (a state agency that happens to detail the difference):

In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL.

On Tuesday’s O’Reilly Factor, BillO went after DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas for having the audacity to run a site where people are free to write posts like this one, in which dKos member Mahler3 <gasp> juxtaposed photos from Jenna Bush’s wedding with graphic pictures from Iraq. This was not a recommended diary, by the way, and was almost universally panned in the comments section.

O’Reilly: And Newsweek magazine, by the way, has legitimized him by giving him a columnist position. I talked to the editor by email, and I said I can’t believe that you’re — that’s like hiring David Duke. Again, I use Duke too much, but I have to — the level of hatred coming out of that website is unprecedented. Isn’t it?
