Many of the more despicable attacks, such as the story that it was Palin's daughter Bristol who gave birth to Trig, have been removed from DailyKos' site -- not because they were inaccurate (which they were), but because they were becoming embarrassing to DailyKos and its owner and chief propagandist, Markos Moulitsas."

"But DailyKos still has 51 lines of attack against Governor Palin up on their website, and to show you how depraved the mainstream media has become, many of them have been embraced by outlets such as CNN (embracing Kos Attack #4)."

Clip Source: www.americanthinker.com

The Democrats have even gotten so desperate that one of their party operatives has released the first five numbers of Sarah Palin's Social Security number to the public as part of a Democratic opposition research file. That means, by the way, that they have the whole number, and have previously used it as part of their research against her. And it's probably not too difficult for some lefty hacker to figure out the remaining four digits if it hasn't already been released -- it's a simple permutation equation with just 10,000 solutions. The charge fell apart when pictures surfaced of the governor pregnant with the child.

Nevertheless, the media, which have been so quick to ignore questions about Obama's background, joined in the inquiry into Palin's private family matters and forced the governor to disclose that one of their daughters is pregnant out of wedlock. This is what passes for investigative reporting these days.

A daughter's pregnancy, of course, has nothing to do with whether Palin is fit for the job of vice-president or even president and is entitled to a security clearance. But one's associations with communists who hate the United States might emerge as a cause for concern. By Cliff Kincaid
The Washington Post reported that John McCain's vetting process for picking Governor Sarah Palin included an FBI background check. Other reports dispute this. But when did the FBI investigate Obama? Who vetted him?

We are living witnesses to an incredible media double standard, whereby a Republican vice-presidential candidate's personal life is being torn apart, while the Democratic presidential candidate continues to get a free ride. Obama has a 30-year history of associating with unsavory characters, beginning with communist Frank Marshall Davis and continuing with Jeremiah Wright and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, which should disqualify him from getting a security clearance in the government that he wants to run.

But the media would rather talk about Republicans and sex.

Tags: liberals, lunatics, obama, media, bias

<clipSource>http://www.rightsidenews.com/200809021860/culture-wars/who-vetted-obama.html</clipSource>

Politics Doesn't Get Any Dirtier

clipped by: merrie
clipper's remarks: This week marks the second time children have been targeted by those who don't like John McCain. And before his supporters on the political right puff up in indignation over what happened to the Palins, they should remember what the right did to McCain in 2000.

The victim was his daughter Bridget, found by Cindy McCain at Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh, brought to the U.S. for medical treatment and adopted. In the South Carolina primary, anonymous McCain opponents used a telephone "push poll" across the state, asking voters what they thought of McCain's "illegitimate" black child. McCain lost South Carolina, and the Republican nomination.

Clip Source: www.chicagotribune.com

One solution is to elect more Democrats to increase our majority so “Bush Democrats” matter less, and many netroots groups like Moveon.org, DailyKos.com, and Blue America are doing this brilliantly

<clipSource>http://www.actblue.com/page/bushdemocrats</clipSource>

Dailk Kos bans liberal blogger for telling truth

clipped by: willhelm
clipper's remarks: Here are the pieces I wrote on Kos that caused the problems…if you look, I’m not writing about anything that isn’t being written about already.

Say It Ain’t So, DailyKos

Dissent, Disloyalty, And Disappointment

Irrefutable Proof Of The John Edwards Scandal

Erin Kotecki Vest also wrote this piece about me getting banned. I cross-posted this piece at Daily Kos and it got over 400 comments. Unfortunately, a large number of the comments were nothing but insults. One person suggested seriously that all the videos I've made lampooning Republicans (including my Mike Huckabee video that Kos himself called the 'best political parody of 2007) were just a ruse so I could weasel my way into the progressive blogosphere, apparently in anticipation of John Edwards being caught at hotel. "

Seems the urge to protect their own (Edwards) includes trashing the messenger (Stranahan). If only the truth could so easily be silenced....

Clip Source: www.huffingtonpost.com

Before I dive in, let me get the 'objectivity' thing out of the way. As a
citizen journalist whose main claim to fame is producing satirical comedy, I can
be upfront about my political leanings. I'm a recovering libertarian and
currently I'm a registered Democrat who is excited to be voting for Barack Obama
in November. I like John Edwards and up until a few days ago, he would have been
my first choice for Vice President on an Obama ticket. I'm far from Puritan -
anything two or more consenting adults want to do is fine by me. I also think
it's obvious a person's sexual life doesn't keeps them from being an effective
politician.

The progressive blogosphere is ignoring this story at its own peril because it's
going to be big. At this moment, there's a weird state of denial about the
entire thing. As of 4pm Saturday, nothing at all on TalkingPointMemo.com.
DailyKos did a dismissive post making fun of the Enquirer. FireDogLake? Nothing.
