Mighty Lube offers Conveyor Lubrication Equipment with numerous benefits including extended chain life, power savings and so on.

Clip Source: www.mightylube.com

        Conveyor Lubrication Equipment

Lubrication Benefits:

· Extended Chain Life: Precise delivery of lubricant to the sliding and rolling elements of the chain provides extended life of the chain pins, links, sliding wear surfaces, and bearings.

· Overall Power Savings: Proper lubrication of the chain surfaces and rolling wheel components greatly reduces friction. This reduction in friction will result in a power savings by a decrease in amperage draw of the chain drive motor.

· Consistent Delivery: No puddling of lubrication on the chain or product as with conventional drip or brush lubricators.

· Reduced Lubrication Consumption: By applying the lubricant in small controlled quantities, where and when it’s needed, lubrication reductions of 50% to 90% are achieved over conventional chain lubrication systems.

· Accurate Lubricant Delivery: Strategically positioned spray tubes direct lubricant to the wear points with no overspray.

<clipSource>http://www.mightylube.com/lubrication_equipment.html</clipSource>

Tape Recording Reveals Vile Rants Of British Mullah

clipped by: merrie
clipper's remarks: Now Choudary —who once called for the Pope to be executed and described the September 11 hijackers as "magnificent martyrs" — could face arrest under anti-terror laws for his evil ranting on the tape, which was passed to the News of the World.

Terrorism expert and author Neil Doyle said: "There is no doubt whatever this a rallying cry to would-be British terrorists.

"And this is the evidence from his own mouth. There's no doubt that the message he's preaching will eventually convince some impressionable people they should start planning 7/7-type atrocities.

"He's certainly becoming the most high-profile cheerleader for al-Qaeda in the UK."

When we spoke to Choudary he refused to discuss our recording but admitted he WAS on a recruitment drive.

He ranted: "I would like to recruit enough to turn the whole country into an Islamic state within a month...by tomorrow.

"You can put that down. I'm trying to recruit 5,000 a week."

Clip Source: www.newsoftheworld.co.uk

Anjem Choudary and his wife rake
in more than £25,000 a year in welfare BENEFITS—while he plots
                to destroy British society.

After hearing his latest inflammatory remarks, terror experts
asked: "What more does this man need to do before he is locked
                up?"

Now our recording provides evidence the lunatic network remains active and is bent on expansion. Choudary reminds his fanatical followers: "Remember, our ultimate objective, apart from pleasing Allah, is domination of the sharia \ all over the world."

Experts believe Choudary's comments should see him prosecuted under tough new anti-terror incitement laws.

Tory MP Patrick Mercer said: "He's an extremely dangerous man. I've no doubt that he's part of the conveyor belt to terrorism and must be stopped."

"And this is the evidence from his own mouth. Workers then break up the plastic from the metal by hand. The entire system is based on the principles of clean environment and zero landfill.

Clip Source: www.inhabitat.com

Clip Source: www.wired.com

what happens to those old computers once they've been abandoned for newer models?

discarded electronics products, also known as e-waste

Clip Source: www.inhabitat.com

Half a million tons of e-waste He began his research in the 1950s with the development of techniques for measuring the radiocarbon content of ocean water and the ages and accumulation rates of deep sea and lake sediments, using this data to trace ocean circulation patterns over time."

Clip Source: news.bbc.co.uk

The scientist who coined the term "global warming" in the 1970s has proposed a radical solution to the problem of climate change.

Wallace Broecker advocated millions of "carbon scrubbers" - giant artificial trees to pull CO2 from the air.

"Okay, you say that's enormous, but we make 55 million cars a year, so if we really wanted to we could. Over 30 or 40 years we could easily make that number."

Clip Source: www.af-info.or.jp

While researching changes in the Earth's climate that occurred
in the past 200,000 years, Dr. Broecker discovered that major climate
shifts may have occurred much more rapidly than previously had been
believed possible. For example, about 11,000 years ago in an event
known as the Younger Dryas, temperatures in Northern Europe suddenly
plummeted and remained low for about 1,000 years before snapping
back to the warm conditions that exist today. The actual transition
periods from warm to cold and back again may have taken as little
              as 20 years.

The Great Ocean Conveyor Logo

<clipSource>http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/7429562.stm</clipSource>

Horse-Powered Hybrid - Fleethorse Naturcar

clipped by: a23llenz
clipper's remarks: This has got to be the strangest concept I’ve ever seen! Olympic training centers around the country are essentially massive science fairs.

In Colorado Springs, Colo., swimmers train in a flume, the equivalent of a liquid treadmill, which allows them to adjust water current and simulate various altitudes.

At Northern Arizona University's Center for High Altitude Training in Flagstaff, runners receive analyses of what their foot posture and gait mean for their performance.

Indeed, with eyes on Beijing, top athletes have their sports down to a science, and recent advances in science and technology mean competitors adhere to the Olympic motto of "faster, higher, stronger" like never before.

There are parts of the world that will cool while warming happens elsewhere. The key is to keep the oceanic conveyor belt stable so our climate remains fairly constant.

Clip Source: www.nasa.gov

Earth Impacts Linked to Human-Caused Climate Change

A new NASA-led study shows that human-caused climate change has impacted a wide range of Earth's natural systems, from permafrost thawing to plants blooming earlier across Europe to lakes declining in productivity in Africa.

"This is the first study to link global temperature data sets, climate model results, and observed changes in a broad range of physical and biological systems to show the link between humans, climate, and impacts," said Rosenzweig, lead author of the study.

Next, the scientists conducted statistical tests and found that the spatial patterns of observed impacts closely match temperature trends across the globe, to a degree beyond what can be attributed to natural variability. So, the team concluded that observed global-scale impacts are very likely due to human-caused warming.

Tags: climate, oceanic conveyor belt, environment

<clipSource>http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/news/topstory/2008/human_impact.html</clipSource>

Bot Bartenders Sling Drinks at Roboexotica USA

clipped by: Silkweaver

Clip Source: www.wired.com

SAN FRANCISCO -- Aficionados of alcohol and androids alike celebrated the first stateside gathering of cocktail-serving robots this weekend at Roboexotica.

Patrons delighted in drink-making droids that ranged from a fire-spewing drink warmer, a fully automated mind-reading mixologist and a shot-pouring conveyor belt built entirely from Legos.

"You have liquor, fire and robots," said Johannes Grentfurthner, Roboexotica organizer and member of art collective monochrom in Austria. What is NATURMOBILNatur is the Latin root of the word ‘nature’. Drop the ‘e’, add a bit of what it does and there you have it – Naturmobil.

It looks a bit like a modern stagecoach, in that, just like in the olden days, it’s run by a horse. But we haven’t added an engine, or any other fancy technology. The horse runs along on a conveyor belt, which then powers the vehicle. You still need a human at the steering wheel, of course!

Essentially, Naturmobil could act as an advertising tool. Imagine your business or logo on the sides of such an eye-catching mode of transport!

Tags: horse, stagecoach, eco-friendly, transport, conveyor, treadmill

<clipSource>http://fleethorse.com/</clipSource>

Space Saver Bookself Idea

clipped by: clipmunks

Clip Source: www.innereverse.com

Ordinary bookshelf are made by the flinty material, but this conveyor belt lookalike bookself is made by elastic material. You may put a flinty material in between two elastic belt, then put the book on inside. Save cost, save space.

Douglas Adams was closer to the point than I thought.

Clip Source: www.newscientist.com

You wouldn't bet on many things surviving a direct hit from a massive asteroid. Yet a few hardy microbes have been shown to live through a simulated smash, boosting the theory that life on Earth could have been seeded from another planet.

Large asteroids or comets that collide with rocky planets like Mars blast fragments into space, and some researchers reckon that this may feed a cosmic conveyor belt of life, in which streams of alien microbes travel from planet to planet inside meteoroids. However, no one had tested whether organisms could survive the extreme temperatures and pressures of the initial collision.

Jörg Fritz of Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and colleagues picked three organisms that live in extreme habitats on Earth such as deserts, high mountains and polar regions: spores of Bacillus subtilis, Chroococcidiopsis bacteria, and the lichen Xanthoria elegans.

The team placed each of them in a "rock-organism ...

Tags: ofspring, of, a, hitchhiking, germ

<clipSource>http://www.newscientist.com/channel/life/mg19726494.300-microbes-could-survive-meteorite-smashes.html?feedId=online-news_rss20</clipSource>
